Great location, you can walk to Ubud town centre. Very well maintained property and grounds, helpful and friendly staff.
Villa with a pool was clean, spacious and private. The grounds are immaculate, the view from the main pool over the Ubud jungle is spectacular. The onsite restaurant is good with a reasonable selection of dishes, there are also may restaurants in walking distance or a short taxi ride away. We loved our stay

Goya never disappoints. We stayed in a Private Pool Villa for the second time and it was incredible. The rooms are spotless, the facilities are amazing and the staff are extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. The room service menu is also fantastic and location within central Ubud is great.

Place was mint clean, staff were super friendly, the food was top and the room with the pool overlooking the jungle was great! Beautifully designed. Beds are comfy. Location is a very short walk to the centeal markets and lively areas.
Personal preference is that the water in the pool is a bit cold to hang out in, so would be cool to have it temperature controlled. But again, that's just us.

Absolutely fantastic!! Would definitely stay again! The staff are all lovely, the location is amazing, STUNNING views, right in the heart of Ubud but so peaceful and serene looking out to the jungle. Very private.
The daily breakfast and afternoon teas were absolutely delicious!
Initially I was disappointed with the temperature of the private pools but with the heat they ended up being a refreshing way to cool off and we used it everyday! If you are used to heat though you probably wouldn’t like the private pool as it is cold and doesn’t get any sun to get warmer during the day. We loved it.
The free photoshoot was a bit of fun and nice to get a photo from our stay.
If you’re considering staying here, just do it, you will not be disappointed. Even though there is currently construction next door it’s still lovely and we were out during the days so didn’t really bother us.
The curtain didn’t go all the way to the end of the windows so there was half a metre gap that you couldn’t block out the light which was super weird. Not ideal if you need a dark room.
Also I didn’t like the sliding doors out to the private pool, they didn’t seal and were a bit annoying to use.
Small complaints just about the functionality but wouldn’t prevent us from booking again, we loved our stay!

This place is amazing! Nestled in a lovely, quiet lane, it’s just a stone’s throw from the bustling main street.
Breakfast was incredible! There were so many delicious options and each one was of great quality. My boyfriend tried them all and was thoroughly impressed. The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely touch, even though we only enjoyed it twice while relaxing by the swimming pool.
The staff is the absolute highlight of this hotel. Every single person is incredibly friendly and professional. They’re always ready to help with a smile, from the reception team to the restaurant staff housekeeping and groundskeepers. Their pride in their work shines through in their warm smiles.
We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely return if we visit Ubud again. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

third time at the property, and it’s starting to show its age a bit, could do with a bit of a refresh and minor maintenance in some area

We had the best start to our honeymoon staying at Goya boutique resort. The villa was absolutely stunning and the location of the hotel was ideal. Tucked away from the main road, but close enough to walk to several attractions.
The hotel restaurant is fantastic, and definitely some of the best food we ate in Bali. We also loved the various events the hotel put on in the evenings.
What really made our stay was the hotel staff, who were just so welcoming and accommodating during our time at Goya. Everyone went out of their way to provide exceptional service.

We loved everything about Goya! The room was beautiful, spotless, and everything worked perfectly. The location was ideal — right in central Ubud, making it easy to explore on foot. We even walked to the Campuhan Ridge Walk with our 5-year-old without any trouble.
Breakfasts were amazing, with so much variety to choose from. The French toast was our favourite, but every dish we tried was delicious. Having breakfast in the poolside gazebo was a highlight — the view from the infinity pool overlooking the lush jungle was absolutely breathtaking, and the pools themselves were wonderful to swim in.
Goya also offers complimentary afternoon tea, which introduced us to delightful Balinese snacks and desserts we might not have discovered otherwise — every one of them was a treat! Dinner at the restaurant was great too, with excellent food.
Special thanks to Febi, Tia, Wahyu, and Nova for their kindness, smiles, and attentiveness — they made our stay even more special. On one morning when my wife wasn’t feeling well, Tia kindly arranged a herbal tea and light breakfast that helped her recover.
Goya exceeded all our expectations — beautiful views, great food, and heartfelt hospitality. We can’t wait to return.
Nothing to mention.

Beautiful property in the midst of the forest. It’s in the middle of ubud but in the hotel it feels like you’re in the middle of nature! The a la carte breakfast is amazing! Everything freshly prepared and more than enough choice! The view over the forest from the breakfast area is beautiful.

A true hidden gem in the heart of Ubud! This boutique hotel offers exceptional service always warm, professional, and welcoming. The breakfast menu is outstanding, made even better by the breathtaking views. Don’t miss the chance to indulge in a full body massage, it’s an experience worth savoring. Grateful to the wonderful staff for making the stay so memorable. I’ll definitely be returning to this little slice of paradise!

Firstly, Goya is a beautiful hotel in a great location and has been styled fantastically. We were staying in Villa 6 and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We made great use of the private pool and sun lounging area as well as the outdoor dining area. Everything was immaculately clean and the gardener clearly takes pride in their work. Each morning, we enjoyed a lovely breakfast which was freshly cooked to order (the breakfast croissant was my favourite) and you are able to choose a sweet option, a savoury option and a pastry. However, the thing that makes this hotel stand out above all else is the service. Every member of staff made us feel so valued and welcome and could not do anything more for us during our stay. The manager personally introduced himself to the guests which was a lovely touch. We also visited the spa and had a couples massage - this is well worth a visit but book when you arrive as it does get full up. We both came away feeling refreshed and relaxed! Thank you Goya staff for making our honeymoon better than we could have ever imagined!
It was perfect!

There was so many good things about this property I don’t know where to start. The location was excellent. It is walkable to all the major tourist attractions. The food was excellent and breakfast was included for us. Our family had a villa and it was very clean and large. The main pool had breathtaking views . The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. One of the best stays I’ve had in my lifetime. 10 out of 10!
Everything was perfect. Truly have mastered hosting and customer service.

We had a nice view with the private pool, the breakfast was nice and the staff was amazing and very helpful. Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy as much because I was very sick
Everything was nice except of the pool the water was freezing so I was able to go the first day but my wife didn’t manage to get in. The doors for the pool don’t close well so we still have insects and humidity coming in but overall it’s okay

Very good breakfasts. Slightly slow service.
Location very good for central Bali tourist spots and walking distance of restaurants etc.
Hotel staff very helpful, smiley and friendly.
Not much room round the pool as it's right next to the dining area.
Very bad traffic in the road outside the hotel.
I thought the price was fairly high in comparison with Thailand five star hotels and service.

Breakfast was amazing, the views were stunning and the staff really made the experience perfect.
The hotel organised a transfer from the airport to the hotel which ended in us waiting a long time for collection. However, the staff did rectify this issue and made our stay even more enjoyable when we arrived.

The majesty of the place blew my mind. The scenery, the serenity of being close to Ubud downtown but able to be isolated, the staff was more than polite, courteous, and helpful. There was nothing negative to be said about Goya
There seemed to be more lights than light switches. I couldn't find out how to turn all the lights off in my room.
5.0 / 10.0
The staff are lovely and the location is good - close enough to walk into the main shopping streets and restaurants in Ubud. There is a nice view of the jungle from the breakfast/pool area.
We were given a room that was on the bottom floor and had obvious damp issues. It stank of mould and on further inspection the walls were moldy. They tried to cover this up with a scent diffuser and dehumidifier, but that did not work - the scent just gave us headaches. We asked to swap rooms and eventually got moved to one on the third floor, which at least was not moldy, but was still not really the standard I would expect for what we paid. I also would have expected an upgrade or something after the situation with the first room. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would think they can rent a room out in this state, let alone in an expensive place like this. We had to wait with our exhausted baby for ages while it was remedied, effectively ruining our first afternoon/evening of a short stay in Ubud. Also don't book a "tour" through reception - it's just the resort driver taking you around with no apparent knowledge of where they are going and they took us to a bad, overpriced tourist trap restaurant for lunch. Only use this option if you don't want an actual tour and can tell them exactly where you want to be dropped off for each stop, including for eating.
