Mosquitos around the hotel , also there were opening cracks in between the doors where bugs/animals can enter I.e: mosquitoes or tiny lizards.

Private peaceful location centrally located. Just wonderful.

We stayed in a private villa with pool. Very serene relaxing spot with views of a coconut grove and other flora. Very quiet and private. Room had everything you needed. Good breakfast and central location. Hard to fault. Was lucky enough to have a visit by some Monkeys and saw butterflies, colorful birds and a lizard and a lone firefly one night. Just magical.

We had the BEST time at KajaNe Mua and it exceeded ALL our expectations. It’s in the middle of everything but without the hustle and bustle…. A green oasis of calm and birdsong. Incredibly friendly, helpful, smiley and kind staff (special thanks to Didek who welcomed us and took care of us so well). Huge room, very comfortable. Beautiful grounds and pools. Excellent breakfast with wide selection.

KajaNe Mua was by far one of the best hotel I've stayed in. The service from all the staff was amazing. The suite we were upgraded to was big, modern and very clean. We were surrounded by nature right by the river and had a private pool. The sound of the water was so soothing throughout the night. I don't think I've ever slept better! The breakfast, especially the mini vegetarian tacos was the best. I have nothing bad to say about this place. I'll definitely be back for a longer stay.

Pack lots of mosquito repellent if you're prone to mosquito bites. The hotel provided some repellent and the mosquito coil and they lit it up in the evenings.

Stay here in Ubud!

Everything! Staff were very friendly and helpful. The villa we stayed in was amazing with our very own pool! Room service food was great too. Location is perfect for walking up and down one of the main streets in Ubud.

Although the location is perfect if you want to be near everything, it is on the main road, so the traffic was terrible and every time I went outside, I felt in the middle of the mess That been said, the hotel is very private and I couldn't tell it was so central once you were inside. So I guess it really depends on what you want

Awesome team, great location, would definitely return!

The team were sooo good! They gave us a free cake and upgrade for my birthday. They were so helpful and even dropped us off at our restaurants for dinner. Rooms were tidy and large, pools were nice.

Little bit of a longer walk from the suites but staff helped us with bags. Mosquitoes at night but staff lit some repellant incense every night.

Good I’d stay n here again.

It was lush and green. Lovely pools and some great areas to relax and take photos . We had the private pool but shared with 3 other rooms. It was quiet so we pretty much had it to ourselves however it could probably be a bit weird if all 4 rooms used the area at once. There is a beautiful resort pool anyways so you’d have that option

We had twin beds. The rooms were comfortable enough however the nets around the beds although they looked cute kind of got annoying. I’d ditch them

An oasis of calm in Ubud

KajaNe Mua is such a beautiful hotel, peaceful but right in the centre of Ubud and close to everything. The staff are wonderful, the room clean and the breakfast delicious. We stayed in a junior suite.

The location was amazing but I wouldn't stay again

Location and Villa. Breakfast was nice

It may sound petty, but we paid nearly £600 a night for a 2 bedroom villa. We also got a 2 bedroom villa on Gili T and Kuta but the other 2 were half the price. When you ask a premium price, you expect a premium service. Staff were polite but didn't stand out. The little extras I would expect and got from the other Villas just weren't there!

Calm, quiet, luxurious and peaceful

Amazing location. Super lovely staff. Especially Derik. I felt a little sick on the last day, he made me ginger tea from scratch. This really explains the attitude of the entire villa, going above and beyond to assist you. Facilities just as pictured, clean, very comfortable and spacious. The pool area is green, natural and shaded by a jumping wall of beautiful live greenery. A great retreat from the hustle of the Main Street. Can’t wait to come back!

Our stay in Ubud was amazing. The location was fabulous and in walking distance or a hotel shuttle bus to drop or pick up if wanted. The staff were so friendly and helpful.

i didnt like that the door of each room is not closed properly and in jungle area its very easy to that anything can pass by to our room the gap between door was big in all rooms

A great place to visit, and it is evident you are in the Monkey Forest as you head down the street.

Great location at the quieter end and within walking distance of the Main Street and Monkey Forest.

The independent taxi operator on the street outside was a bit of a nuisance, but typical of tourist areas.

A wonderful place to stay, where the staff are very helpful and the facilities first rate.

There was a great range of choices for breakfast and we particularly enjoyed having scrambled eggs freshly made for us. The staff were all delightful, so friendly and helpful. Our room was lovely, with a beautiful balcony that we enjoyed sitting on and where we ate our dinner one night. We had an almost private pool and enjoyed a swim there. It was an unexpected bonus that afternoon tea was provided each day and that was a good way to experience some Balinese specialties. The location was excellent for access to the Monkey Forrest and Ubud Palace, plus lots of shops and restaurants.

There were a lot of steps to negotiate, which for older people can be a challenge, particularly in the wet. However, we could have asked to be moved to a different room but opted to stay in the allocated one and treat the 95 steps as a good start to our daily exercise.

Excellent resort with great price / quality in the middle of all of Ubud’s action

Very centrally located, next to monkey forest, so brilliant choice if you are looking to book a 5 star resort in the middle of all of Ubud’s action with very good price/quality. The rooms were very well appointed and clean, it outdated, very well maintained. I was with 2 teenage kids and we had our own two level villa with private swimming pool and private balconies overlooking the jungle, which was beautiful. Service is excellent, breakfast very good + also afternoon tea service offered. Any other service you wish for very well arranged.

The location is ideal for exploring Ubud, and the resort has an extremely calm atmosphere.

Breakfast could cater to vegetarians a little more, however the hotel staff are very accommodating and they do cater to requests when asked.

Beautiful property with great character. Very friendly staff and lovely little add ons. Really efficient shuttle to take you to nearby sites, but also really central to local amenities. Although on a main road we felt like we were secluded and not noisy.

Great location near all the shops/restaurants/bars but rooms are tired and need update/refresh

The staff were nice and friendly. They didn’t go above and beyond fixing issues like the other places I’ve been to. The location is it’s selling point. Right in the middle of Monkey Forest Road and not far from Ubud Palace. And the pool was lovely as was my bathroom.

It’s tired looking. They have all these awards on the front desk from TripAdvisor and Booking.com… from 2015 when I think the property would have been great. But the breakfast buffet was average. The mosquito net around the bed had stains on it but worse was when I dropped an earring and it fell between the two mattresses (two singles they pushed together to make a king). So I have to take the base sheet off … I was appalled at how disgusting the mattresses were. Old, yellow and deeply stained. It was off putting. And many items on the spa menu they didn’t do there. They did at their sister property 2.5km away. So instead I went to the salons on the street.
