Valtines weekend

I love ieverything the host Veronica is amazing and very welcome to us and the stay was amazing and all the request I asked for was done it was the best valentines weekend me and my girlfriend had I can't wait to come back and stay again the breakfast was out standing and freshly cooked to order and the staff was amazing to at breakfast to thank you so much see you guys very soon

Historic building in a historic town

Aimee on reception was very welcoming and polite , helped me book room at best price and also the free pint was greatly appreciated

Shower did get hot eventually could do with electric shower but wouldn't deter me staying again

Brilliant find for the price highly recommended

Cosy and homely.. Not a fancy posh place, some might see it as a little dated but for the price was great. Clean and tidy, everything you need and the people were lovely. Good breakfast. Close to Plymouth pavilions 5 mins walk which was ideal. Definitely stay there again! 😃

Perfect everything, the lovely host, the double bedroom, the shower, the comfort, cleanliness, quiet, parking with an extra £5 for the whole stay, via a permit from the host. Scrumptious breakfast, beautifully presented. Parking outside the property .Convenient location in West Hoe, two minutes walk to the sea. Will definitely stay again. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Lovely guest house, quiet and convenient.

Perfect location close to the sea, a short walk to the Hoe. Parking outside the door with a £5 permit. Veronica and Max were very welcoming. My room was clean and comfortable. The generous tea and coffee selection was very welcome. There was also a delightful residents’ lounge to relax in. It was very quiet and I slept well.

On arrival, the owner gave us a car parking permit - this was appreciated and we were able to park right outside the property. The accommodation was nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and the location was excellent to explore Plymouth. It was a very nice stay.

It would have been nice to have a hairdryer in the room.

WiFi was a bit dodgy. Would have been nice to have had a fridge to put milk in. Although UHT milk in small pots is provided I prefer to buy proper milk for tea/coffee.

A lovely comfortable stay with welcoming and engaging staff. A lovely property with a home from home feel . The house was nice and clean and a lovely breakfast provided. Thank you to Veronica and Diane it was lovely to meet you both.

Beautiful twin room and immaculately clean. Great breakfast and exceptional value.

Entered unknowingly through the 'wrong' front door and after about ten minutes trying to get attention, had to phone the owner who was then let's just say, not exactly welcoming. Entirely not our fault, simply put a notice on the 'wrong door' directing them to the correct door. I hadn't even seen the other door . It was October and the heating wasn't on our entire stay. I was chilly but my 80 year old mother found it very cold.

A great place to stay, relaxing and comfortable

Easy to get to from station, a warm welcome when arrived, room comfortable- best nights sleep, breakfast choice was great and food perfectly cooked. Advice on route to where i was going really helpful. Will be booking again when next visit.

Easy to find, great location for SWCP walkers. Comfortable room, thoughtful touches. Amazing breakfast before a day of walking! Price is fantastic for what you get. Highly recommend! Also facilitated by bag transfers, which was very helpful and kind of them.

Wonderful hosts, good value for money, good location

Wonderful and kind hosts, excellent breakfast (you could choose), location quiet, 10-15 min from Barbican, 5-7 minute from the Hoe. The railway station is good 20 minutes with up and down the hill, but with cab is only 5 minutes (cab ride approximately 7.5 pounds). Room was clean and had everything you need. It wasn't so big, but quite nice for one person. After all, you are not going to sit in your room whole day, you are going out for sightseeing!

It is in a great position, close to the sea front. There is easy access to the Hoe, Lido and various eateries along the water front. The hostess and staff are very welcoming.

Staff were very accommodating and an early check-in was no problem. I liked the location- a quiet street but close walking distance to the seafront, Barbican and city centre.

A wonderful stay at the Caraneal

Fantastic B&B near the seafront and just a short walk from the city centre. Lovely, tastefully furnished rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast. The owners are very friendly and welcoming; they even stored my luggage and provided a key to collect them, as I was leaving Plymouth in the afternoon. I highly recommend this B&B!

Lovely B&B perfectly located near the waterfront. Everything was excellent, the rooms, the breakfast, the owners' frendliness. They even allowed me an early check in. It's also great value for money, just book, you won't be disappointed! I'll surely be back

Great value for money.

Great location, very friendly staff and excellent breakfast. There is a small buffet where you have the choice of cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit and orange juice. Cooked breakfast is either porridge or a full English breakfast.

The rooms are a little bit dated and the bed was too soft for me. But that's obviously an individual thing. It was a bit too noisy at night. But then I'm very sensitive to noise.

Family run guest-house/hotel with a friendly vibe throughout. Simply furnished, clean and tidy and good value for money. Decent selection at breakfast, near the Hoe, sea front and other amenities. Overall a good budget friendly stay in a friendly welcoming environment.

My stay at the Caraneal was absolutely brilliant, I wish I stayed for longer! Checking in and out was very easy, and the staff were absolutely wonderful. I traveled via train from Leeds for my stay, and the hosts were very kind to let me check in slightly early once I’d arrived after my nearly 6 hour train ride. Location was perfect for what I needed (I was attending a gig at the Depø which was a less than 10 minute walk) and the area felt very safe. It’s a short walk to the iconic Smeaton’s Tower, and the walk down toward there is very refreshing and beautiful. My room was perfect and very clean. The facilities were great and I had everything (and more) that I needed. I highly recommend that anyone thinking about staying here does, and I cannot fault anything with my stay.
