Fabulous!!

Myself and my partner had a fabulous stay at the Tudor Guest House in October. Paul and Leslie were amazing hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant location, very central for everything. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, lovely breakfasts made to order. We will be booking for a return trip Easter 2026 and can't wait to return to this warm and friendly accommodation.

The host Paul very friendly, clean and comfy room and single bed.Tv and WiFi both worked well.Breakfast was good with a choice of hot stuff,I had a cheese omelette which I enjoyed after some cereal and toast.Very near The Hoe and sea.

Only a small matter as shower turns on ok but took me a good few attempts to press the button to stop it.Did tell Paul who hopefully has sorted it out.

Pleasant guest house in ideal location

Location was fab. 25 mins walk to train station (probably slowed a little navigating the building works barriers in town). Only 15 mins to the main Barbican and harbour. 5 mins to the Hoe. Exceptionally clean room and very comfy bed. Pleasant view out front if you had a south facing room. Good range of continental breakfast items provided with the added bonus of eggs, beans, bacon or omelette combo if you wanted. Set you up for the day. Paul and family very welcoming

The first room (top floor) was very small and I kept smacking my shin on the bed surround. The shower also failed as thermostat went and was no hot water. The view was nice tho and room bathed in light when the sun shone. However, once I made Paul aware of the shower situation, a ground floor room became available. We moved into that the following day which was roomier with a separate shower to the toilet. View not so nice out the back and a little dark but wasn't really that much of an issue as the rest of the facilities made up for the lack of natural light

Would stay again 🌟

The location was perfect, lovely sea view room, had everything needed - even a room fan & a bathrobe which I thought was a lovely touch :) The breakfast was lovely, plenty of options. The bed was really comfortable, that first night, after a long day of travelling, really needed that good sleep. Paul was so friendly and helpful, couldn’t ask for a better host - thank you for a lovely stay ☺️✨

Pleasant, comfortable and quiet.

Great location for our stay. Quite street. You do have to pay for parking in the area but the host can provide passes at an additional reduced cost. We had a twin room with en-suite. Everything was clean and of a high standard. With some nice little touches. Tea and coffee making facilities. Hair dryer. Towels provided.

Delightful Stay convenient to everything.

The Hostel was very convenient to the Barbican and the downtown core. The room was comfortable with a view up the road toward the ocean. The window opened to allow in fresh air but it was still a little warm, in the heatwave it might have been uncomfortable. The Owner was very nice and helpful with opening the key lock box with me. A wonderful home away from home.

Everything this place was amazing. Greet at door by phil very nice warm welcoming. Well decorated place and close to town.

Apart from bed linen it was excellent. Staff were so friendly and helpful.

Excellent breakfast and location of the hotel.

The bed linen was polyester and therefore does not breathe. It’s not comfy in normal temperatures but with the very hot weather it was not comfortable at all. Cotton bed linen is always cooler for sleeping. Bed was comfy but not the bed linen

Cheap for good location but with awkward bathroom and breakfast arrangement. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Centrally located near the Hoe and the town centre. Nice building. Very clean. I had a small room with a separate bathroom a flight of stairs down shared with another. Basin in bedroom. Storage good.

The distance from the bathroom down a flight of stairs shred with one other. The breakfast gave no choice between full cooked breakfast and continental breakfast in price of £10. It would be better to have a choice. Parking arrangements were not explained but were available. Parking restrictions were extensive and fully policed. Hotel did have vouchers which was very useful but not clarified in the guide as they needed to be booked in advance.

Welcoming & helpful hosts, great location, very clean room, delicious breakfast.

The only thing that could have been better - quite a lot of light comes into the room under the door from the hallway light, so maybe a draught excluder strip on the bottom of the door would be good, but I admit I am fussy at home.

3 nights was great to see much of the city, see a concert at the Hoe, Cruse the Sound, and harbor.

Excellent!

Excellent Guest House in Plymouth near to Barbican and to the Hoe. We had the family room with ensuite bathroom and it was very spacious, clean and comfy! Breakfast was fantastic - Paul and his family are really nice and charming hosts. Thanks for your hospitality! Next stay in Plymouth will be again in Tudor Guest House!! :-)

Friendly, welcoming and very helpful hosts, comfortable room, delicious breakfasts, absolutely spotless B & B just 2 minutes walk away from The Hoe esplanade and sea views. Great location.
