Spotless, excellent value for money. Great location. Lovely shower
Our room was a little tired in appearance.

Old Georgian hotel with character.
Rooms were comfy and staff friendly.
Great breakfast!
Good value for money.
Rooms have high ceilings and were a little cold apart from that all good.

Great location, modern.
Room too hot, shower pressure very poor

The sheets and towels were clean, and we were able to park. That’s it.
Our room was dark and dingy. Our view was of a mass of scaffolding. It was literally not light enough to be able to read, and felt very depressing to be in. As a result we slept in the beds and left as soon as we could in the morning. It was just too miserable a place to be in.
The bathroom was absolutely tiny, barely room to move. Nowhere to put any toiletries etc, except for one toothbrush each.
No bar fridge. The furniture was old, but not in a good way, adding to the overall depressing nature of the room, and the hotel itself.
It’s barely two stars.

The position was quite close to the things we wanted to see.
Our complimentary breakfast was cancelled by them because they didn’t wish to get a cook in. The manager said that we would be compensated at check out. The receptionist didn’t know anything about this. She said that she would contact us later in the day. She didn’t. I contacted the hotel complaining of poor customer care. The manager emailed us that he would contact us but he didn’t.

Absolutely loved the friendly welcome to the hotel, efficient service and great price!
The room had a bath, which on a cold winters night my partner really appreciated the clean bathroom and fluffy towels!
No Hot Chocolate and No Bubble Bath, but lovely shower gel we used to create foam and Tea & Coffee were lovely.

It was clean and the room was very good.
The parking was a nightmare and also noise coming from other rooms and I think someone banged on my door early in the morning.

We stayed in a Superior Room on the top floor, great size room and really large bathroom. Nice seating area with a couple of comfy chairs and table.
Breakfast was lovely with a wide choice available.
The location is amazing, only a moments walk from the Hoe and a short walk from the shopping centre and theatres.
All the staff are really friendly and helpful.
There wasn't anything negative about our stay.

Very friendly at reception on arrival. Room was very spacious, if a little hot for us. Plenty of tea and coffee available and the breakfast was really good. Plenty of choice and well cooked.
Like I say, for us it was just a bit hot in the room.

My room was fine - clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water, adequate storage facilities, heating worked well etc.
Plenty of choice for breakfast, quick service.
Location brilliant for visit to daughter's flat on The Hoe.
My husband's room not so good - traffic noise because window wouldn't close, room cold because radiator didn't work. The manager moved him to another room, double at no extra charge as no more singles available, which was fine.

Location was excellent for all attractions i.e. Hoe, Barbican and City Centre being within a 15-20 minute walk.
All staff were pleasant and accommodating. The room (Grand Suite) was large although furniture was a bit dated, but I guess this fits in with the property style. Bathroom was spacious with separate shower unit. Heating was used overnight and this very efficient. Breakfast was plentiful with a decent selection of cooked options.
Bit disappointed with the room extras i.e. there was no bottled water or glasses provide other than plastics in the bathroom. Only tiny 20ml shower gel and conditioner containers which for two people is not sufficient but the assumption maybe that people bring their own. This would be simple things to rectify thus improving the experience. Perhaps a small fridge too.

Room was lovely, clean and bright.
Lovely breakfast with staff friendly and helpful
Parking, hotel pass runs out at 8am so you would have to buy 2 at £10 each unless you want to be up and out by 8am. Street parking £16.50 for 24 hours which we attempted but after downloading the app it didn't work. After 30 minutes of trying we gave up and left car. Ended up with parking ticket which was issued at 8am, so the council are just waiting for hotel passes to run out.

Location good. Rooms were clean.
The bed was uncomfortable and I hardly slept because doors kept banging late at night and also I could hear waterpipes fron other rooms. There was a light that wouldn't turn off and it was never resolved despite telling reception to fix it.

Location was good, just a short walk to the Barbican. Breakfast was good.
Original booking was "standard double room". Looked like a prison cell. Bought an upgrade and got a fairly nice room on 3rd floor. No lift, just a narrow staircase. And they shut the whole place down at 10 pm.
