A great place to stay to explore Plymouth.

Lovely, well presented room with everything we needed in a fantastic location. Clean and comfortable. Excellent communication from host.

Good location, clean and comfortable, good communication

Location was good, convenient for Hoe, Theatre etc. Bed was comfortable

Extremely small basin in bathroom, basically just a hand basin not a wash basin. Unfortunately the radiator in room didn't work, no heating at all, was reported, but was not fixed whilst we were there (we were asked if we wanted to change rooms, but we felt too much hassle to pack everything and move)

comfy bed and good location near to the hoe and town centre.

The TV didnt work for long, the internet TV went off sporadically, then permanently. The thermostatic shower control was stuck on barely luke warm, it wouldnt get any hotter no matter how you turned it making for an extremely uncomfortable shower. There was only ½ a toilet roll for two people for two days.

Good location

Unclean and very worn out. Needs a very good clean and re-camp. Uncomfortable broken beds, broken curtain rail. Hairdryer dusty and smelly. Thick dust in the towel rail and above the doors. Toilet seat didn't fit the toilet. Bed sheets musty and didn't fit the duvet, blood stain on one of them

Everything great!

Everything great. Clean and comfortable. Everything what you need inside including small kitchen with fridge. Only one minus its expensive parking near along the road, but room was absolutely worth the money. More than expected. Well done!

Convenient

Ideal location to hoe and barbican.

Being in basement, room dusty, no milk for tea or coffee. Parking prices 16.00ish fir 18 hours parking. Then would of cost that again fir next night so we moved car far away. No one to ask for permit. OK hotel .

Convenient - compact

Convenient location. Easy access clear instructions for getting key from key box on day. Parking on meter but appeared to be spaces nearby ok when we arrived. Clean compact everything needed in room. Shower Luke warm both days and drained v slowly so overflowed if shower more than 5 min.

Recommended

Good location. We didn’t use the kitchenette but it looked tidy and well equipped. It would be a real plus point when staying a few days. The coffee pod machine was a great addition. Happy Husband! The room was clean and comfortable, but could do with a bit of an update.

We weren’t able to adjust the lowered blinds so stayed in semi darkness. The table top was very loose and wobbled precariously when we used it. The online form etc for getting access was a faff, and honestly was a bit of a worry, but once you’ve done it, got the key, you can relax.

Could have been better.

Great location and a reasonable room, with excellent shower. Nice and clean.

Noisy fridge i didn't know was there till by 5am I worked out what was making the strange scratchy noise and turned it off. In my race to get to the car before the parking ran out I forgot to turn it back on. I was racing to get to the car because I had to pay over £16 to park the car! Promised parking card was not there and no staff to ask! Booking in was a pain. They wanted my passport or Driving licence!!! I think not! Sent my bus pass! Initially it was all in a foreign language. I can't afford to have an experience like this again! Seemed priced I've similar hotels I've used. Add the parking and I could have stayed somewhere much better! Coffee powder wasn't great. No biscuits. No milk in the fridge to find!

Compact room but needs clearer communication links

Great compact room. Me and my daughter were visiting for the University open day. We stayed 2 nights, and just needed a base. 15 min walk to the University and train station. Quiet location, comfy bed, clean. Just what we needed really. We were in basement flat, we slept so well. Small offering of tea and coffee, washing up things provided in bathroom, a bit quirky but it as fine for us. Fabulous towels, fluffy and a great size. Shower was great too.

We really struggled with the online form. Right up until the day, we could not fill it in. I was really panicking because i would be travelling all day to get there. I had sent so many messages and no reply. I was thinking i had been scammed. I tried the phone number and found out that the company was Argyl and googled them. Rang them but in the end emailled them. Thankfully, I got a response, and they told me to send them a picture of my ID, and they would then release the door codes to me. Thank god this all worked, but it was very stressful to go through. Just tiny improvements could be made.....we had no hand soap in the sink dispenser, so we used the one in the shower. The fan was covered in dust, so we could not use it. The window was great, but we could not lock it with the key, but it was secure. Just needs a refresh of paint and caulk in places.

I liked the fact that the shower room had a window as I am hypersensitive to bright, artificial light. I also liked the fact that there was a fridge in the room - that is why I booked it.

I hated the fact that I could not open the window in my room - especially when it was hot (although I could open the bathroom window to a certain extent). I didn't like the fact that I could not reach the microwave (I am only 5' 2"). I am disabled and retired so could not get up on or down from a chair safely or comfortably - to use said appliance.

Great location and value for money

Travelled for the fireworks competition and the room was in a great location, within a short walk of the Hoe and the harbour. A good base to explore allthough a little small. Comfortable

Fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery glasses etc. If needed, plus coffee and tea, good shower, comfy bed/bedding clean and extra pillows, easy to check in

Good location for town and the seafront

On arrival noticed curtains were broken and hanging off the rail. Bathroom had no soap in dispenser. Toilet seat was dirty and stick and shower hose had black mould. Not a great first impression

Weekend for 2

Really good location, plenty of on street parking available, the check in process was really easy and secure, well equipped room with everything needed for a self catering break.

Although the room was clean the extractor fan in the bathroom was thick with dust and the coffee machine needed cleaning before use.

Slightly disappointing

Decor and privacy were good. The room was exactly as seen in the photos. If not for the fridge not working and old smelly quilts and a mattress. I would've had a better stay .

The fridge wasn't working but it was resolved. The cleaning was barely tended to and coffee pods were not provided. And it felt a little awkward. I've visited before and know maintenance wasn't important as the fridge was about five years old felt like a replacement was a burden. Mattress springs are on their way out. The strange smell from the bed wasn't comfortable. I'd rather safe wine and champagne glasses rather than glass they were fragile the slightest move knocked them and they broke. The back garden could have done with a clean and tidy up and some clean beds for plants and bulbs. Some towels are dirty. Slightly overpriced I'd of paid about 1250. Unless improved.

20 pound parking for the night is absolutely shocking you should tell people before booking we would of booked some were way better if we had none the charge for parking

Dissatisfied 😒

Room was a lot smaller than the photos showed, the bed was terribly uncomfortable, woke up with bad back. The fan in room was covered in years of dust along with light shades ! Come on cleaners look further than you nose !

Perfect break, would definitely stay longer next time.

The property was perfect for what we needed, clean, everything you needed, and the beds were very comfy. The parking permits weren’t in the room when we got there, but phoned Caroline the owner, who was lovely and very helpful, she sorted this straight away, we had permits dropped off within 5mins. Would definitely stay here again.
