Stay was great! Good choice of food, comfortable beds, lovely staff.

The property itself is extremely clean and comfortable. Staff were amazing. Within walking distance of the fisheries and aquarium.

Lack of parking… there’s no on site parking but, the local car parks are very nearby and can be paid at the hotel for a reduced rate.

Booked 2 double bed rooms through Booking.com bug was told that at the property that it wasn’t actually available (only a double & a single)

Excellent Place to Stay for a Last Minute Trip!

The room size, the cleanliness, the breakfast and their staff are kids friendly.

I found the mattress is slightly better at other hotels. I wish there is a parking directly going to the hotel lobby. The current parking provided by 3rd part needs their lift fixing. Very hard to travel with kids without any lift.

On the whole a great stay

Great location...our room was lovely and clean..we had a wet room aswell...bed was very comfy...reception staff and the girl behind the bar were friendly and professional.

We were woken up just after 9am by a clicking sound...startled as it was the door to our room...then around 10/15 minutes later it happened again...this time accompanied by a knock at our door. We mentioned this to the gentleman on checking out and he did apologise as this was infact the cleaners. Check out isn't until 11am.

Short stay in Plymouth

The check in process was very smooth and efficient, and we were upgraded to a bigger room which was nice. We were also given vouchers for free coffee which was a lovely touch. The location of the hotel is great, right in the middle of the town centre and there were restaurants very close by, so it was very convenient.

Lovely stay as always

Room was clean and tidy and room service efficient. Location ideal for the Barbican and city centre alike. We visit Plymouth once/twice a year and always stay here.

Excellent value for money

The reception staff was brilliant and accommodating. After a long train journey it really meant a lot that the reception was so helpful, friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble o them. Location is the best, right in the center opposite the shopping centre, 10 minutes walk to the University and 15 to the station. It was clean, with toiletries and plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Spacious rooms. Good breakfast with a variety. Over all very good value for money. When in Plymouth again we will staying here again.

Perfect location, food menu requires improving and you need to accept cash. All staff were amazing.

You didn't except cash which is very annoying, as I find it hard remembering my pin number my card is then blocked and I can't purchase from you and had to go out in the pouring rain just to purchase a drink. The food menu is pretty pour, but that didn't really affect us much because we had to go out every night to eat as you do not accept cash.

The room was very comfy and the beds were great.

Our shower was only Luke warm in the morning. Outside of our room in a back courtyard there were people hanging around for a lot of the night talking very loudly and disturbing our sleep.

Great stay

The staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was hot and lots of choices. Room was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable too.

Great staff, good breakfast and a fantastic lovation

The staff all through the hotel were kind and welcoming, but Sam on reception was easily a stand out. She was warm, supportive, friendly and wonderfully helpful. Often this is forced but it came across as truly genuine and she was the highlight of my stay. The breakfast was great and all staff in the restaurant were very upbeat and welcoming. The room was spacious, with the key areas well cleaned

The only downside of the hotel was the air con unit and the musty smell in the room, the vent on the ceiling had not been dusted in a long time and had a thick layer of dust. I removed the dust myself and the air quality of the room changed drastically, making for a much better experience. Though I do wonder how many other rooms have suffered the same fate

Wouldn’t stay again

Location

My wife was bitten by bed bugs,the shower was luke warm and not very powerful,restaurant was shut Friday and Saturday,the bar advertised Guinness 0,0 on the menu but I was told they don’t sell it!! We ordered fish and chips which looked good until you tried to find any fish inside the batter. On the plus side the breakfast and the staff were good.

Hotel is located in city centre so weekend evenings are noisy. Unfortunately windows in the rooms are not well soundproof
