Aside the time I was driven out everything is alright

I understand it’s a growing hotel .!but I suggest u employ more staff to facilitate work structures

I discussed with manager I’ll be leaving @1200 but I was driven out before 1200. I believe it’s not a good practice

This stay is an absolute gem!!! I cannot put into words how much I loved it here. The owner is one of a kind, so lovely and caring. He really made sure that I had nothing to worry about and went out of his way so many times to make my stay an absolute dream. The breakfast, the room, the service. I have never had anything like this before. It truly was the best stay I have ever had! xx

Lovely stay :)

Really lovely stay. Host was really attentive and cooked us a good breakfast both days. Room was nice and bed comfortable. Close enough for us to walk into town and parking nearby.

Shower setting wasn't great but fine once you could get the right temperature. House could do with a little freshen up but has only just been taken over.

A pleasant stay

The place has just been taken over by a lovely polish couple . The room I had was immaculate with the cleanliness. The breakfast was really lovely and tasty

The lighting was limited.. the lights were always out, and I couldn't see where I was going and tripped on an occasion. And also, no heating it was a little lacking in cosynesss with no background heating

The Firs is a friendly, warm and homely guest house, run by Dan, it's very able & versatile manager.

My welcome from Dan,the proprietor, was warm and friendly. The room was spotless and well appointed e.g. T.V,, kettle with tea, coffee, chocolate, etc. The shower (very efficient) was separate but close by; ample towels, soap, shower gels etc. The dining room was fully equipped; breakfast was extremely comprehensive, from full English to cereals, toast and all manner of drinks. I chose chef's (Dan) 'special' - a very tasty & delicious omelette. Superb!

Great accommodation, great location and great food!

The location was excellent as we were going to see the National Fireworks Championship. It was about three minutes walk to the Hoe. It is also within walking distance of the Barbican. It was very warm on both days we were at The Firs but there was a fan in the room which we made full use of and was a great touch. The breakfast was cooked to order but didn’t take long at all and was delicious. The room was big enough to walk around the bed as I’m not keen on one side of the bed being against the wall.

Although there is a fridge available in the Dining Room, it would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room just to keep fruit and drinks in. Perhaps a wider window for breakfast as it is between 0800-0900. This is just a small thing though as, once you know the time you just have to make sure you organise yourself. These are just small matters and are a wishlist really.

We had a lovely night stay here, nice and clean, good breakfast, and the nice little touches with toiletries and tea and coffee, We will stay again next time we're Plymouth to see my boy

Good value, basic B&B in the middle of Plymouth. Perfect for us as it’s near the coast path. Small room but all we needed. Good breakfast.

Lovely breakfast. Comfy bed. Had everything we needed. Parking permit.

Only minor things due to arthritis... Had to move bed to access plug down behind to turn bedside light on. Having to sit same side of table, bit cramped in.

Lovely, comfortable stay!

Room was bigger than I thought it would be and exceptionally clean. Bed was super comfy and the room had good tea and coffee making facilities. B & B is in a perfect location for the Plymouth Summer Sessions gig we attended. Friendly owners and a lovely breakfast. Would definitely like to stay again next time we visit Plymouth 🙂

the room was light, clean and the en suite was very updated and also very clean

The frontage needed to be painted and updated, looked tired and the double glazing had broken down it did not look inviting. Also being asked what we would want for breakfast just as we arrived.

Lovely premises. Smelt beautiful. Exceptionally clean & fresh. Great location near to waterfront, next to huge play area for children& grassed area suitable for dog walking. Breakfast was superb….. well cooked, hot & accommodated my dietary intolerances. Eggs were perfect !!!!

Parking was not ideal although did manage to park adjacent to property. Daily permits purchased through premise owners was discounted by comparison to pay meter fees.
