Very expensive for the room

The bathroom was lovely- great shower water pressure. Great location

No noise insulation from the bar below. Or around the door, lots of light and noise leaking into the room. There wasn’t a true door lock on the inside of the door. Cost was very very high - I thought for £375 per night that the hotel would be more boutique/ higher quality.

A warm and welcome stay at the Beverley. Perhaps not for those who want a quieter get away. Would certainly choose again

Perfect for purpose of stay, great location close to parks, town centre and restaurants. The room was spacious linens and bathroom extremely clean. Staff were very helpful, and friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Bed was comfortable.

These aren’t dislikes at all just things to take into consideration. Parking though available on site does get snapped up quick. Admittedly it was a weekend and the rugby was on. There was road parking but you had to search for it. My room was above the bar area which was busy till around 12:30 when it all completely dropped off. A peer was staying on the third floor and she said it was quieter on that level.

Perfect location, friendly, helpful staff, lovely comfortable room, got a great night's sleep and served a great beer and tasty food. Had a really warm atmosphere. Throughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.

Good size rooms and bathroom. Food was good and service was quick

Rooms were hot throughout the night with no way of turning the heating down. Beds were very firm. A lot of steps up to the rooms. Car park very tight

It’s clean, nice and cozy. Easy access to the property and the city centre is a walking distance from the hotel.

Since the pub is downstairs, it’s a bit noisy but by midnight it’s all calm.

Great find for Cardiff stays

The people, friendly, welcoming, food was great, breakfast options were amazing! A perfect find for visiting Cardiff! Went in January and so got great offers too. Great pub below, good atmosphere, quiet overnight. And opposite Elgano Italian restaurant which is also a gem!

Nothing not like, but prices go up quite a bit in the summer, which is sad as then a little out of budget, but worth it if you have the budget!

Decent place to spend a night. Lovely staff.

We arrived about 8pm on a Friday night and the pub was hopping. They initially put us in a room right above the pub but it was loud and we asked to be moved. They were really accommodating and moved us to the second floor. Much quieter but if you're noise sensitive then you'll still hear some pub noise. The inclusion of some cereal, tea/coffee and fruit juice in the price was a lovely surprise. The room was huge and a nice place to spend time in.

Fantastic location for the Sports wales centre, less than a 5 minute walk. Easy to find, managed to park right outside the front door with no parking restrictions so could leave the car there all of the next day while we were out.

Bedrooom was larger than expected after walk through a tight corridor. Plenty of wall sockets (including USB). Small but adequate shower room. Nice breakfast in large pub dining area. Has it's own private, secure parking. 15/20 minute walk to Cardiff Castle/city centre.

Lovely room but bed uncomfortable

Property was very modern and clean and staff friendly.

Unfortunately the bed was hard and not comfortable so didn’t sleep. Meant we didn’t feel like doing much the next day as planned.

The breakfast choice was odd. Lots of variations on sausages and bacon and little else. No eggs only option , toast only or croissant. They gave me a muffin instead. Lovely yogurt

A second chair and somewhere to put your clothes in the bedroom. Please stop tucking the duvet so far under the bottom of the bed you get cold shoulders in the night.

Great location and friendly staff

The hotel is in a great location, and having parking was a real bonus so close to the city centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

There was a lot of noise bleed from the pub downstairs quite late into the night. We were in Cardiff to watch the rugby so it didn’t bother us too much, but worth flagging in case anyone is unaware of this when booking.

Nice room upgrade, welcoming staff who were friendly and professional. Rooms larger than in the city centre hotels. Very little noise from outside. Handy to have the pub below. Reasonably priced.

Game of two halves

Bar facilities and atmosphere great, staff let the bar down as my tender seemed like she didn't want to be there and certainly didn't want to converse, reception door locked and un-staffed, room itself was ideal, clean and well serviced, bathroom was outstanding, huge, spotless, modern and extremely well maintained

Relaxing, very comfortable and extremely well fed.

The food was incredible. We only ate at the hotel during our two day stay. Breakfast was spot on and a very generous amount. Fish & chips, mixed grills were all 10/10. The bar drinks were really reasonably priced too with great offers available. Every staff member we met, were friendly and always checking that we were OK.

For the price we paid, there is nothing I would fault.

Price £219 for 1 night without breakfast was inflated, like all the hotels in Cardiff because it was the night before the Cardiff Half Marathon.
