The breakfast choice was odd. Lots of variations on sausages and bacon and little else. No eggs only option , toast only or croissant. They gave me a muffin instead. Lovely yogurt

A second chair and somewhere to put your clothes in the bedroom. Please stop tucking the duvet so far under the bottom of the bed you get cold shoulders in the night.

Great location and friendly staff

The hotel is in a great location, and having parking was a real bonus so close to the city centre. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

There was a lot of noise bleed from the pub downstairs quite late into the night. We were in Cardiff to watch the rugby so it didn’t bother us too much, but worth flagging in case anyone is unaware of this when booking.

Nice room upgrade, welcoming staff who were friendly and professional. Rooms larger than in the city centre hotels. Very little noise from outside. Handy to have the pub below. Reasonably priced.

Game of two halves

Bar facilities and atmosphere great, staff let the bar down as my tender seemed like she didn't want to be there and certainly didn't want to converse, reception door locked and un-staffed, room itself was ideal, clean and well serviced, bathroom was outstanding, huge, spotless, modern and extremely well maintained

Relaxing, very comfortable and extremely well fed.

The food was incredible. We only ate at the hotel during our two day stay. Breakfast was spot on and a very generous amount. Fish & chips, mixed grills were all 10/10. The bar drinks were really reasonably priced too with great offers available. Every staff member we met, were friendly and always checking that we were OK.

For the price we paid, there is nothing I would fault.

Perfect Business Trip Stayover

The food in particular, both the evening meal, burger and sticky toffee pudding, and breakfast the following morning, all great! Room was comfy, if a tad small, but it was only me for one night, so no problem.

I didn't realise the radiator was on until the morning, so it was a bit warm for my liking overnight, but my bad for not checking!

Location and limited contact with staff was all good

Very warm and loud guests, which I appreciate isn’t The Beverley’s problem but really, trudging upstairs in early hours and having loud conversations, more than once?? Also, there’s a loud noise that lasts for 10 seconds every 2 mins throughout the night, maybe water pump (?) heard from Rm 18…annoying especially when asked for quiet room as light sleeper!

How Fun! Living in a Pub is just straight fun. Staff are lovely. Rooms are like apartments. Highly recommend if visiting Cardiff. Oh, and the Welsh people are DA BOMB

The Beverley is a well situated gem in a beautiful, thriving city!

We arrived on the day thet Sting was performing at the Castle, so we expected the traffic and the city centre to be busy. The Beverley is well located, walking distance to the centre, and we got to it without a fuss. We were able to park in the secure parking to the rear. The room was perfect for a shoty stay. It was a warm day. so a fan had been placed in the room; this wasn't required, though. The bed was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had been recently updated and was very nice; great shower with plenty of hot running water. The next morning we had the breakfast. Being Gluten Free this is always a challenge. The Beverly were able to provide me with a Full Irish breakfast, without the sausages; which was the thing that made it a full irish. We were offered the Vegan sausage as a replacement, but opted for extra eggs instaid. I had a good fill and was very happy with the meal. The cleanliness of the room, the good breakfast, friendly staff and the great location made it the perfect stay. We shall return.

As a typical traveler, there is nothing to say here. As a Gluten free traveler, I would recommend that the Beverley looks into a gluten free version of sausages. Tesco, Aldi and Lidl's store brands are gluten free as standard, and there are many good gluten free brands out there.

Good central location in an interesting and lively part of Cardiff

Nice room above a busy pub. So a bit lively on Saturday evening though quiet thereafter. Handy location for Cardiff centre, Sophia Gardens, Llandaff, etc. Small car park but enough spaces to get parked eventually.
