Good location
Had to ask 3 times for a hairdryer to be delivered to the room. Called reception for this, the phone just kept ringing, no one answered. Breakfast items were over cooked having being left on the hot plates for too long. The tv did not work in the room and the shower screen leaked onto the floor.

Although we had be 'upgraded' to executive I actually found that drinking facilities were a minimum ..2 coffee pods ..(sachets of not very nice coffee at all) 2 sachets of sugar and 2 sachets of canderel..an empty fridge! Yes we were on 8th floor which meant we had access to lounge which was closed after a certain time ..Also a bed that had what appeared to be a king size duvet COVER with a DOUBLE quilt inside which meant that a LOT of the cover was empty. A very poor night sleep also

Staff helpful and friendly. The executive lounge was clean and quiet with good quality food and drinks provided.
Upon check-in, we immediately noticed that the air conditioning unit was extremely noisy, even when switched off. We reported this to reception and were informed it would be looked into. After review, we were told the noise was due to pressure in the pipes and could not be fixed.
Although the staff were helpful and provided excellent customer service, the air conditioning unit continued to be very loud throughout the night and kept us awake. In addition, despite the room being advertised as soundproofed and located on the 9th floor, there was excessive noise from outside the hotel late into the night, which further disrupted our sleep.

Very friendly and welcoming receptionists who made sure we had all we needed including a quiet room. A decent sized room with a large tv and armchair. Extra teabags and pillows provided when we asked for them. Great shower. Good quality and spotless bed linen. Safe and secure parking next to hotel. Great location in the centre.
Although I am used to a reasonably firm mattress at home, I found the hotel mattress uncomfortably hard, despite the topper on the bed. Unfortunately this meant that I didn’t have a great night’s sleep.
Accessing the car park was very tricky as you have to enter a pedestrian zone which we weren’t aware of. It’s worth checking this out beforehand as it was a bit of a nightmare.

We booked a Deluxe Room but were given a disability room that was far from deluxe. The room was very poorly maintained, with thick dust everywhere and a dirty carpet. When I complained, the staff simply said 'sorry' and admitted that the housekeeper had missed it, yet no effort was made to fix the situation. They also claimed the carpet stains were just 'old,' but the room clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. Even the canal area was extremely dirty.
Furthermore, the hotel is advertised as pet-friendly, but they do not allow dogs in the restaurant for breakfast. This is very misleading and made our stay much more difficult. For the price paid, the lack of service, poor hygiene, and restrictive pet policies were a major disappointment.I expected for what I paid for

Guests in our room prior were given late checkout till 4pm. Even though check in time is 3pm. So our room wasn’t ready when we arrived at 4pm. We had to push for them to prove a drink while we waited. Our Booking was for three adults. I bedding for the sofa bed. Had to organise. Lounge was underwhelming and very busy.

The main saving grace of this hotel is the staff, the staff were lovely and helpful.
We had to check out a day early because of the smell of the room, it stunk of smoke, somebody had been smoking in the hotel, caused tight chest and discomfort. The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable we were unable to sleep on them, and the room was like an oven, the A/C didn't work at all to cool the room down just very loud, poor lighting in the room even with all lights on. Called a concierge for loo roll at one point took over an hour for it to be delivered. The cleanliness wasn't the best in the room itself, there was black grime over the bathroom and I had to clean out the bathtub 3 times before attempting to use it. When you pay the price this hotel asks for you expecting comfort and luxury, it ended up just being a very expensive uncomfortable convenience. Would expect a refund for at least one night as we had to leave a night early due to the room.

Location was ideal for the city center! Lobby area appears recently renovated, and looks good.
Our room was very dated and didn’t appear much like the photographs.. there were some suspicious stains on the carpet, and our beds were incredibly hard. The room was also very cold.

Ideal location. Easy ONSITE parking. Stunningly decorated for Christmas with great bar area. Young girl on reception was exceptionally friendly and helpful (didn’t get name though!) and your breakfast staff were great too.
Noisy room (411) due to club opposite pounding music out until at least 4:00 on a Sunday morning so hardly got any sleep (not hotels fault really). Room lighting was poor. Other than that all was ok and we look forward to staying again.

Location great because central to shops and station. Staff really friendly and helpful. Browns is the reason I stay. Staff can't do enough for you if you have a special diet. Food great.
The room was shabby and dated. 2 missing lights. A cracked sink in the bathroom. Water dangerously hot and difficult to get cold water. Bed really hard. I mean solid! They used to have amazing beds with mattress toppers.

Our room door was expanded so couldn’t shut without absolutely slamming it !! The room lighting is sooooo poor cant see a thing no fan to get ride of shower mist at all in bathroom making it impossible to see anything. Receptionist tried to charge us again for car parking when we paid on arrival! But wouldn’t take our word for it checked and then laughed and said oh yeah!! No apologies at all ! Very rude and embarrassing

Location was great and staff friendly. We booked a deluxe room that was basic and tired and in desperate need of a refurb. The carpets in the room and hallway were dirty and stained and in need of a clean, the room windows were so dirty and grubby in need of a clean, the bath has seen better days. Chairs on the landing near lifts have seen better days and showing signs of wear.

The hotel was the same standard as any budget hotel (premier inn/travelodge) but had the price tag of a luxury 5*. Really poor value for money, extremely dated with nothing luxury about it. Not worth the money

We were very pleased to have got a room at such a late stage (our train was cancelled on Friday night, we had tickets for the rugby so we drove).
Pillows we're not conducive to a good night's sleep ( I do appreciate that pillow comfort is very subjective.)
There was a pane of secondary glazing missing which may have contributed to the noise level and so to a generally poor night's sleep. It did not go quiet until 0600hrs.

I’ve been using this hotel for many years. It’s now desperately in need of modernisation. The rooms are old and show heavy signs of use. My room was hot and the AC made it hotter. I was told in the morning that the cooling wasn’t working.
Staff wise. Quite surly on check in. Despite being a Bonvoy member, I was told ‘not to bother’ adding my membership number to the booking because I’d used Booking.com. I had to explain the other benefits such as free internet.
