Great location, a large and cozy room. Polite and friendly staff. Comfortable beds and a comfortable room temperature.

The doors in the room were old, didn’t close properly, and were squeaky — they at least need to be oiled. There were also many black hairs on the blanket. The sofa bed was not very clean and needs professional cleaning.

Lovely location with ok service

Location is perfect, not far from train station and very central and close to all the attractions. I loved the interior. The breakfast was ok for French hotel. Breakfast service was attentive. The rooms are quite spacious, we had a part view over the church. It was nice. Comfortable beds. Good bathroom.

Unfortunately the staff on reception was busy with themselves:) the guests come after. No bathrobes, very uncomfortable pillows . We had only 1 pillow per person

Classic hotel in a fantastic location, friendly and helpful staff

The hotel is in a fantastic location near the old town of Lille. The room was comfortable with a good bed, and a clean and modern bathroom, with a good shower. The staff on the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The rooftop bar with city views was great.

I think that some of the common areas (eg, landings, hallways, stairwells), and possibly the bedrooms, are in need of a cosmetic upgrade (eg new new carpets, painting, artwork, and some new furniture). This could really elevate the look and feel of the hotel. I still very much enjoyed staying here nonetheless.

Pleasant Christmas/birthday city break.

Concierge staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location. Breakfast was good. Nice cocktails & views of Christmas market & big wheel from roof top bar.

Our room on third floor was very cold. Were given extra blankets for beds but felt very cold sitting in room and after getting out of shower. Room was described as having sound proofing but we could hear family below shouting & children crying, room above us walking about, next door room coughing & TV and doors banging throughout the night. Similar story re:internal noise in second floor room occupied by rest of our family.

Ideal for Lille

Perfect location for visiting the old town and Christmas market. Lovely roof top bar with great cocktails and views. Comfortable, spacious twin room.

We didn't try the breakfast because it seemed a little expensive compared to local cafés.

An obvious central choice

Historic building in the very centre of the city yet was quiet.Room 401 had a fantastic view of Grand Place. Room and bathroom well equipped. The rooftop bar with excellent views served great Negronis. The staff were most welcoming and helpful - my original room had no WiFi nor TV signal and I was transferred to a nearby room quickly without fuss. Buffet breakfast was included and offers a good choice of dishes.

Lovely stay all in all, I would recommend - room with a view is worth it

Great location, you can walk everywhere or are near the metro. We changed our room after the first night as the windows face inwards onto other room windows and a stairwell. The second room had an amazing view over the Grand Place. Rooftop bar is great. Comfy beds, walk-in shower was great for us. Staff are super helpful. Breakfast was OK, bit expensive for what it is.

The second room was noisy as the walls were paper thin and someone was playing really loud music next door at 5.30am and slamming doors - not the hotel's fault. Downstairs bar was never open. No English TV channels at all - no problem for us but some people do like to watch TV or films.

I had a view of the Grand Place. It was a spectacular view. It wasn’t noisy. It made the whole stay special.

It’s not a modern luxury hotel. It’s a great b&b, with loads of charm and in a great location. If you approach it on that basis, there is nothing not to like.

Location was great very close to Old town. Breakfast was good. Service recovery was good when they were obliged to downgrade our room.

Empty water bottle left on desk in key of full one. Sheets and bed linen stained. Hopefully had been laundered but big tea/coffee stain on duvet cover.

The room was a good size. Location was excellent. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold options.

The room didn't have much hanging space for clothes and only supplied 4 hangers, however, I'm sure we could of requested more.

We arrived late at the breakfast but still on time and had very limited options while we paid the full price. I received the feedback that it would be a waste of food to keep on sending new items. Did not find this fair, lots of customers were obviously going around the food plates and coming back with empty plates. Stop sending after the deadline, not before. Also it took a few minutes before we could get warm water in the showers. Latest is that for a Bellevue Hotel, the room's view wasnt nice (outdoor stairs).

A hotel that has certainly known better days...

Hotel was well located. Staff was nice and efficient. Bed was OK.

The hotel in general had known better days. At best, this was a 3 star hotel. Pillows were immensely uncomfortable (way to soft, zero support). Normally, in 4 stars hotel you get at least 1 viscoelastic pillow, that give good support and are comfortable to sleep in. Both pillows were equally old and bad. The carpet was old and stuffy. Decorations old and put together with zero taste. You could hardly fit your legs in the separate toilet. The bath had no hold-on to get in our out. Even though in theory you had controls for the heat air in the room, it did not work at all, and in the evening it was rather cold. But the heat would not turn on, no matter how high you put the temperature. Continental breakfast was poor. Dairy-free and gluten-free options almost non existent (even though I had warned them in advance). They had total lack of knowledge about how to present food to prevent cross-contaminations with known allergens (e.g., cheeses, next to cold cuts). They did not even know that most cold cuts are preserved with lactose or lactic acid. I could only have 1 cold cut (the Italian one, the only dairy free, gluten free). They could not make scrumbled eggs without butter, etc.

Nice hotel

Very nice hotel and very nice staff!

The AC was turned off, while it was about 23 degrees outside and so also it was 23 degrees inside. The AC was off because it wasn't a summer period, but then if it is so hot that the room just doesn't get cold at least provide a fan or something similar. This was compensated to us by the hotel in a good way but still we expected a bit more from a 4 star hotel.

A top spot for a weekend in Lille.

Great location. Upgraded to spectacular room with a view over the square. Very effective soundproofing. Super comfy bed. Bedrooms and communal areas all fresh and clean and well kept.

Shower strength a bit disappointing. Breakfast was very busy and rather chaotic with the buffet running low. However the hard working staff were very efficient and kept on top of everything.

One day away :)

The hotel was clean and quiet, and the rooftop bar was a great treat. Staff couldn't do enough to help us. The breakfast was lovely also.

Our room was nice but the toilet and the bathroom were separate. The toilet was next to the entry door, and the bathroom was on the opposite side of the room. There was no sink in with the toilet! I think the toilet must have been a cupboard in the past as it was just big enough to get in, too.

Good location, generous sized rooms. Staff were friendly. Nice decor and very comfy bed. Breakfast was good. And rooftop bar was nice.

Cat parking was fairly close but a bit of a trek to get to in terms of where the entrance is ( came out into a department store so if the store is closed you have to go round the back) There were workmen in the hotel and so some dust in the stairway ( just being picky here but carpets just looked like they needed a Hoover !) And noise from 7:30am

Great location and comfortable rooms

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was nice. I love the sparkling water which you can get from the hall with the variable degree of sparkling. The location is perfect - just the centre close to all restaurants and attractions but not on a busy street. Parking is just 4min walking from the hotel.

the toilet space was way too small. the construction works outside and at the ground floor entry area made the entrance less attractive. I believe once they finish - it will be a gorgeous place from outside too.
