    Warm and Charming Space !
We stayed at this lovely old village house in Gnosca and really felt its warmth and charm. The setting is quiet, full of character, and surrounded by that authentic countryside feeling that makes you slow down and breathe. A beautiful little patch of green comes with the property, perfect for relaxing outdoors. There’s also a fantastic gourmet shop nearby — a real treat if you enjoy good local products. We used the place just as a stopover, but it’s really meant for taking a break from the hustle and enjoying the calm. Communication with Andy from the property was friendly and helpful, and he provided a very detailed email after booking that’s worth reading carefully, as the website information isn’t fully clear about what’s included.
One thing to note: in the larger suite, the bathroom setup is less convenient, as access requires passing by a bed outside the bathroom. This makes it a bit awkward and not the most comfortable arrangement.

Historic property, unfortunately not too comfortable
Good communication with the host Charming location Clearly a lot of effort was put in renovating such an old house
Such historic properties come with downsides. It is a very old house and despite being renovated, the floors in the bedrooms were uneven and I felt like sleeping inclined. There is no privacy being in the suite as it is actually two bedrooms on separate floors connected by the common staircase. Yes, the rooms have doors, but we were a family moving around between the rooms with two kids. I felt quite uncomfortable. I could hear the neighbors from the mini suite taking a jacuzzi very late at night just under my nose.

    Best for couples or groups
Nice design in all the rooms, they have beautiful taste! Well equipped kitchen. Easy and pleasant communication with the owner, Andy (who I met briefly). Cute village still very close to Bellinzona.
I didn't have the best experience unfortunately, I got very unlucky with the weather so was a bit stuck inside. As a solo traveller in the mini suite on the ground floor, with a group of four in the other rooms and using the common space, it felt a bit like I was tucked away in the basement of someone's house. I would have enjoyed it more had I been with another person or had booked the whole house. Note: I actually did stay at Andy's other property in Monte Carasso with friends the following two days where we had the whole house and it was wonderful (5* review) - so this review is very specific to my experience being ALONE and in the MINI SUITE.

Uniquely wonderful place to stay, with an excellent host!
What an uniquely wonderful place to stay. It's like you're staying in a historical a-listed building, but with semi-modern comforts. We loved the facilities, including the mini-spa with hot tub and mini sauna. Some rooms, in particular the toilet upstairs had amazing views. A little walk through the quaint village reveals a lovely Church, a couple of restaurants and a water fall all in close proximity. The village folks were very friendly and we made a new friend in Luca at the Pizzaria a street down :) Your host will be very responsive and supportive - Thanks Andy!
There is very little to complain about, if I was being hyper critical the only thing I'd say is that for me too many things, after paying a lot of money, came as additional extras e.g. the use of the bathrobes and slippers, which pushed the value for money a bit over the houses star rating potential. The insulation of the Sauna can be improved as the door albeit very authentic, has to many gaps and lets cold into the sauna... but again, this is hyper critical suggestions.

    Very beautiful and quiet place.
The decoration was super beautiful. The village is nice and quiet. The waterfall was welcome after our hike and then we enjoyed the jacuzzi! The kitchen is perfectly equipped. We were able to get some nice typical food from the caterer in the village and enjoy a nice dinner « at home ». I warmly recommend this place.

We did not know fresh bread was delivered in a bag on the front door. We missed some cheese and meats for breakfast
