This time we had a room on the ground floor with lake view over the hedge and a nice patio sitting area. The room also had ac. The bathroom looked brand new with a large walk-in shower. The bed was comfy, had to ask for two extra-pillows which were provided straight away. Breakfast was good as usual, always choices of fresh fruit and delicious breads and buns. The self-service coffee machine is great and makes excellent coffee for every taste.
Great location, a 5-7 minute walk to the Piazza Grande, harbour and public transport, which is free with the ‚Ticino Card‘, ask for it at the reception.
The swimming pool with plenty of deck space and loungers.
The WIFI is totally outdated, extremely slow, does not suit modern requirements. The price for the rooms have gone up tremendously, possibly the annual triathlon of Locarno had something to do with it.
