Absolutely charming! The view from our balcony was amazing- palm trees, alps and Lake Maggiore. Comfortable and well appointed. Promenade out front, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Very laid back and relaxing.

It’s a charming, small hotel beside Lake Maggiore. There’s on-site parking and it’s a very short walk to the centre of Locarno or to the ferry terminal to towns further afield.
We enjoyed everything about the hotel.

Location was fantastic for us - between the station and lake, 1 minute from the station platform. Manager was very helpful and we were able to have an early breakfast as we were leaving early. Breakfast was good and plentiful with excellent coffee.

Good location, next to the station and lake front.
Room was recently renovated, nice coffee machine and fridge were appreciated.
Balcony overlooking Station and mountains.
Breakfast was ok, could be more fruit, tomatoes, cucumber etc.
Staff attitude was very poor. I was not aware of the Ticino Ticket which should have been given on check-in. City tax covers this. Lady at Lido asked me for it and said I get it from the hotel. So I paid 20% more for pool than I should have. Next morning I asked for it, was told off by waiter that I should have asked and its my fault (sorry I thought the hotel should be helping their guests make the most of their stay) He said manager would not be here until 11am to do it. So we waited because we hoped to do the cable car and get a discount. Locarno is very expensive. Eventually the manager arrived and did it. Then on check out, I was told I still had something to pay (city tax, should have been done at check in). I said I had pre paid and was told to stop stressing. I have never felt so unwelcome in a hotel and it really spoilt my stay. For this reason alone, I would not return here. If you do book here, please please ask for your Ticino Ticket. It is included and gets you free public transport and lots of discounts.
