The place isn’t worth the high price — the bed is uncomfortable, the soundproofing is poor, and the shower takes too lon

Location, breakfast and staff

The bed is very old and uncomfortable, so I couldn’t sleep well. The soundproofing is also not good. The shower takes more than 5 minutes to warm up at the first time.

Lovely, comfortable and refreshing.

Single small blocks of houses divided to 4 units, every one had its own separate entrance and terrace, very quiet and intimate, really beautiful . Lots of green, beautiful small gardens.

If you want to walk down to the lake it is really challenging as there is no sidewalk so you’ll have to really watch out for the cars driving up and down. That is if you want to explore, otherwise you have everything you need inside. There s a pool, a big garden near the pool and lots of areas where you can walk or even just sit and enjoy the breathtaking view.

A wonderful location with stunning views over Lake Maggiore. An excellent, dog-friendly restaurant with stylish menus. Glad there was a lift for my husband to use: the dog and I climbed many steps to acces the garden as the hotel is perched on a ridge. However, the space was very cleverly used with quiet areas as well as a lovely terrace with a bar.

Lovely hotel and staff with gorgeous pool and views....but let down by uncomfortable bed and pillow.

The hotel staff and surroundings were amazing! Beautiful gardens and heavenly pool with loungers to relax in. Food at the restaurant also excellent.

The beds and pillows were a big let down. This is such an easy thing to fix. Please invest in more comfortable beds and pillows as this is an important part of a good hotel stay.

Great view, we loved that the hotel is situated in a few smaller buildings, like this it makes it more private, quiet and great for a good rest. The restaurant with very good food and good prices. Hiking trail just around the corner was a good point!

The experience of the restaurant really depends on the staff, I didn’t pay attention to the names of a man and a woman who were serving us in the restaurant on Friday and Saturday and who were so very kind and professional, but when we had different ones on the last day, it was a bit less of a quality.

Exceptional

We were family of 5th and booked 3 rooms, 2 of them were on the first floor and 1 was on the second (all close to each other which was very comfortable). All rooms had amazing view and comfortable outdoor chairs to enjoy it with glass of vine! All territory is very nice, clean and well maintained. Pool was too cold to swim in April, but it was pleasant to seat near to relax and enjoy sunset. Food in restaurant is very nice! Breakfast is quite modest comparing with hotels globally, but comparing with usual breakfast in Swiss hotels (and we are traveling a lot across the country) it was really good! :) We also had dinner in the hotel every day and Menu of the Day (45 CHF for 4 courses) was always good and some dishes were even delicious. Staff is super friendly! Don`t forget to take Ticino card on reception - you an use it for 30% discount in Swissminiature and other museums (we had car so we didn`t use it for transport, but I suppose it could be also vary convenient as well). Parking is free and specious, there are 3 spots near different parts of the hotel and we always found place in 30 meters from our rooms. In general we enjoyed our stay so much that even prolonged it for one more night! Thanks a lot!

the dinner was not really good, which is a big shame as you cannot eat out anywhere else. This hotel offers fenomenal views, so if you reserve a table next to the window it can barely get any better. So a good dinner for this view would be a fantastic was of ending the day

Es war ein super schöner Aufenthalt, ruhige Anlage, atemberaubende Aussichten, nette Menschen. Ich könnte mir allerdings vorstellen, dass die fehlende Klimaanlage im Hochsommer doch den ein oder anderen zum schwitzen bringt… Ich habe sie bei den aktuell vorherrschenden Temperaturen nicht vermisst :-)

Ascona und Lucarno in einem, gepaart mit Sonnenuntergang

Die Lage und der Ausblick ist herrlich. Frühstück ist reichlich. Betten sind gut. Gastronomisches Angebot ist gut. Das Personal ist freundlich und informativ. Erreichbarkeit mit öffentlichem Bus ist gut. TicinoCard Angebot ist gut.

Die Ausfahrten von den diversen Parkplätzen ( wegen der Pavillonbauweise in der Anlage gibt es mehrere) sind in Abhängigkeit von Lage und Niveau zur Durchgangsstraße besser nur mit Unterstützung zu passieren. Es gibt außer den (z.T. unübersichtlichen) Kurven keine Mittel zur Temporeduktion ( Bodenschwellen und / oder Tempolimit könnten hilfreich sein). Bei den zahlreichen steingepflasterten Wegen innerhalb der grünen Anlage ist gutes Schuhwerk empfehlenswert. (kleiner Vermutstropfen: Die Balkonbrüstungshöhe ist nichtmehr an die heutige statistische Größenverteilung durchschnittlicher Mitteleuropäer angepasst und daher ideal für Kinder und ältere Menschen.)

le personnel hyper serviable, l'emplacement, la vue, le parcage, le déjeuné, l'ensoleillement, la douche, la piscine (quoique trop froide) et chaises longues, l'accueil, le fait que l'on me parle en italien et pas en allemand!

L'éclairage en salle (trop fort le soir) et en chambre le plafonnier devrait être indépendant du rai autour du lit. Avec du solaire, la piscine pourrait être plus chaude même à ce moment de l'année.

Fantastisk udsigt fra værelse og restaurant. Virkelig dejligt sted

Udsigten fra terrassen Personalets venlighed, der var kun 1 stol i værelset og vi fik straks en til da vi bad om det, samt ekstra hovedpuder. De arrangerede også et værelse hovedhuset, i stedet for det vi havde fået i en pavillon op ad bjerget. Meget lækker mad, både morgen og aften.
