Beautiful Hotel in a superb location.

The room and the view were fabulous. The bar and barman were exceptional. One of the best cocktails on our entire trip. Gorgeous chap at reception. I could have stayed longer just at this hotel. The restaurant is exceptional. The spa area had a great steam and sauna area. The pool is also very nice. The only thing that was annoying was the plastic divider between the interior and exterior pool. Very sharp. Staff were also very helpful when a swimming suit was accidently taken from the room during housekeeping. They found it and posted it to Zurich for us. We appreciated the effort.

The breakfast could have been better. There wasn't a great variety and the pancakes and waffles were cold. Staff could have been friendlier.

Staff was really supportive and friendly, rooms were neat and tidy, location is perfect just outside Locarno and right at the Madonna de sasso and cable car up. Evening dinner with 5 courses very high quality and presentation!

Breakfast could have been offering a bit more choice and as we ate late in restaurant, they started to prepare for the breakfast whilst we were still enjoying dinner...

Beautiful place with everything you may need

Beautiful hotel, walking distance to the lakeside, rooms clean and comfy beds, great service - and what we particularly liked was that the reception lady welcomed us nicely and surprised with a bottle of prosecco in our room since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Certainly, we`ll be recommending this place!

Nice location not too far from the centre of Locarno. Our room was a suite and had a balcony with a fantastic view of the lake and surrounding hills.

The room lacked in my opinion complimentary water as well as extra towels. Also the hairdryer seems to be underpowered and switches off automatically once it reaches a certain level of heat in order to protect it from overheating. An other annoining Swiss thing is the fact that all common areas, especially hallways do use motion sensors for the lights which activate once somebody moves and subsequently turn off after a short time.

Four star hotel with Five Star Amenities

Beautiful historical hotel with lots of nice extras such as complimentary pickup from the train station, free coffee and homemade biscuits in the room, an Italian Colomba cake left in the room on Easter, free yoga classes and a phenomenal wellness center.

We were hoping for a slightly better view (a building in front blocked part of the lake)

the fitness area, it should be bigger with some additional equipment, ie dumbbells and a bench, the multi gym was too complex and the exercise bike was really old

The hotel is neat, has great views, and has a classy restaurant. We liked the comfort of the beds. The small wellness area is beautifully done and offers something for everyone: sauna, steam room and laconium.

The hotel lacks the feeling of cozy comfort. It is all very functional but besides the pictures that show the hotel's story, the decoration is odd and impersonal. It was disappointing to have the one room with the smallest shower on the whole floor in which when you turn around you turn the tap off. Given we stayed there in the middle of winter to try it out (and potentially come again in other seasons) and the hotel only had a minimal number of guests staying I do not understand why not give those that are booking a room to highlight the beautifully located hotel. Wellness area: Beautifully done, but also there it lacks details - just plastic cups and a water dispenser. I would have expected more with this class of hotel.

Excellent and well-run hotel.

Comfortable bedroom with good shower room. Excellent views from the bedroom over the lake. Good car parking on site. Excellent local bus service provided free to guests of the hotel. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Excellent and clean swimming pool.

I felt that breakfast at CHF28 was very overpriced Car parking at CHF13 per night is fairly expensive. It is quite a steep walk up to the hotel from the main central piazza.
