Peaceful, beautiful property run by the perfect host

Beautiful property set on the outskirts of town, next to woodland. Hosts were welcoming and friendly - really enjoyed our breakfast chats. Room was fab, bed super comfy and breakfast was perfect. Would definitely return.

I notice some reviews note the distance from town but honestly it’s only 20-30 minute easy walk. We appreciated the peace, especially as we were there for the Enduropale beach race when the normally quiet town becomes very busy!

The ventilation in the bathroom wasn't powerful enough, so the humidity stayed for a long time in the bathroom itself and even in the bed room

A wonderful stay in Le Touquet forest.

Everything is to be liked here at So Touquet. The room was exceptional a bed big enough for ten of me. Clarins toiletries, a wonderful breakfast in the garden, home made yogurt, perfect location. Jean-François and Sebastian are perfect hosts! :)

The owners were lovely people and the location of the villa was excellent.

Beautiful room done out in a very upscale way. Lovely to have the jacuzzi in the room. Very comfortable.

The breakfasts should have been better. Given that the house is upmarket (and the charges are on the high side) I would have expected freshly squeezed orange juice (rather than bog standard cheap supermarket) and warm crispy buttery croissants (rather than same as OJ). Coffee was good though.

Our stay at So Touquet was just perfect, we are already planning a return visit!

We liked everything about this house. Our arrival was easy and welcoming, and our room was perfect with very comfortable furnishings and facilities. A tea and coffee tray and water is provided which was good. The location of the house is beautiful and very tranquil which was also very much appreciated, it is also well situated for walking out to town for dinner in the evening. Our host was welcoming and friendly, and was helpful with recommendations for restaurants etc, and we loved little PJ who is too cute! Breakfast is very good and we particularly liked the home made yogurt! This place place is excellent and we recommend it without reservation!

it’s a beautiful property, with a wonderful location. the star in the crown was Jean-francois . he was a wonderful host. all his recommendations for restaurants were fantastic. He also serves a delicious breakfast with homemade yoghurt and cheese ham, etc. the croissants were amazing!

wasn’t anything.If I had one small thing it was that the toilet wasn’t with the bathroom but outside the room, it’s still your private toilet but just not in the room. having said that, it wasn’t really an issue and didn’t bother anyone else. it was all immaculate.

Beautiful villa with secluded grounds in a tranquil location

We had a lovely stay at “So Touquet“ – a beautiful home set in lovely, secluded grounds and sheltered by mature trees. Our room (the most expensive option at these premises) was large and included a corner bath in the bedroom as well as a separate & excellent walk-in shower. Our host, Jean Francois, was welcoming, friendly and approachable and provided good advice for two excellent nearby restaurants that we ate at. Breakfast was served on the terrace with a plentiful supply of fresh bread, pastries, home-made yogurt and jams.

We had expected a better experience with consumables e.g. the miniature shower gels (which were not replaced during our 3 night stay) and particularly the availability of toilet rolls. We started our stay with a single (part used) roll and had to ask for more….twice, both embarrassing and unacceptable…..particularly at this luxury price point. Fresh fruit at breakfast would have been very welcome.

Beautiful property BUT NO COMMUNICATION lead to despair !! 380 euro overcharge.

Breakfast was ok, our room was adequate though stuffy as opening windows resulted in a plague of wasps from the surounding forest in the beautiful park areas. A stunning location and a very attractive property let down by the fact that a non communicative owner left us in despair as you will see reading our email to him following our early departure. We are both in our 70's and seasoned travellers, especially in France where my wifes brother has lived for the last 30 years. My wife is a cancer survivor but has issues affecting her mobility following extensive treatments over the last 8 years or so. I am always very careful about booking accesible spaces when we travel, this was our 6th venue over a two and a half week period, the only one we had issues about.

This is the email sent to the owner of the hotel SoTuquet following our early departure. Hi jean François, I was disappointed to learn that you are not ready to repay the 2 nights we could not stay at So Touquet. For clarity, let me remind you of what happened during our visit. I pointed out to you when you arrived that we did not expect stairs, your answer was simply to offer to carry a piece of luggage. I know you saw how difficult it was for my wife to climb the stairs at least 2 times, she persevered for 2 days but was so upset when we returned to our room on Wednesday night that I made the decision to leave after breakfast on Thursday morning. I was a little shocked to be charged for the 4 nights but I didn't want to cause any hassle and distress to my wife more than necessary. As we said during our stay, the house is beautiful and I am sure that many visitors fully appreciate the garden, the terrace and the surroundings. I emailed you via booking.com on January 6th this year, 5 months before our scheduled arrival, to ask specific questions about my wife's access and mobility issues, I didn't receive any response, so I assumed everything would be fine. If you had answered and pointed out that the steep stairs had to be climbed just to get into the property, we would NOT have booked to stay at your home. As a sign of good faith, I expected you to offer at least some kind of refund as the fault is yours and not ours, we lost 2 days of our vacation and we feel that we were treated very badly. A sad end to our almost 3 weeks in your country.

The most comfortable bed!! Host was so friendly and the standard of EVERYTHING was to his high standard. The best bread, croissant, jam, homemade yoghurt etc. We loved the quiet and the walk to the town.

Great host, great villa, great location

Great host in a charming villa amoungst the pine trees, tradditional french breakfast chatting with Jean Paul who was a mine of information as to good dining and things to do. Room was very comfortable with the usual straming tv and wifi.

Not much really only critisim would be that toilet was not on suite and was outside of the room but it was not an issue.
