Amazing saty at B & B Charles Cabour in De Panne

Amazing!! The host was very accomadating and friendly, the property was very clean, and modern, continental breakfast was lovely and well presented, perfect for family's, great location, 5 minute walk to plopsaland. The Host definitely takes pride in what he does. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

Beyond our expectations!

The hosts were really friendly and helpful. The garden of the property is stunningly laid out and well kept. We loved the animals that live on the site; including 2 cats, 2 goats (1 of which loves attention), chickens, and we even saw some natural wildlife, including a hedgehog! The location is perfect for visiting Plopsaland, but also ideal for taking a trip down to the beautiful local beach. The recently fitted air conditioning was a godsend as we staying during a heatwave. Guests have access to a range of drinks and snacks, which can be conveniently purchased for reasonable prices. Would certainly recommend to anybody considering staying here.

Parking comes at an additional cost, which is always a pain when you’re paying for accommodation. The breakfast is great, but possibly not ideal for vegetarians/vegans. The hosts, however, seem to really care about their guests and I’m sure they would accommodate dietary requirements if given notice.

Breakfast was delicious served by our host Pascal who could not have been more courteous and helpful. The garden was beautiful with the goats and chickens. Bonus was the VERY friendly orange cat which delighted our cat obsessed daughter at breakfast. The proximity to Plopsaland was simply perfect. Highly recommend a stay here. We will be back.

I liked the short walk to plopsaland and the tram station nearby. And I really liked how friendly the owner is. Beautiful garden with some goats and chickens (they didn't make any noise or such during our stay). Not to forget the rich breakfasts. The owner will make you omlette or boiled egg on request.

Good location for Plopsaqua.

I am a back packer who travelled more than 30 countries, and I was managing gite near Chimay too, and honestly, even we didn't have breakfast, it's OK because I let my children sleeping well, I know that. But, I think a small refg. and shampoo, needed to be provide to welcome guests at least with this price. Also I suggest to change the information on the door. Whatever, my total impression in this area is, workers doesn't need care about clients because full of family wants to come anyway! At the gate of Plopsaua, our Bongo number didn't recognized on their application and they decided we already used it and told us : you can buy tickets now, in front of my children who got it as her birthday gift. It's OK, anyway we done once in a life event. I am very happy with that. In the end, 2 tickets became 6, to say sorry for us.

room was large and clean, beds comfortable, breakfast was great and Pascal is the perfect host. Having the tram station 2 minutes walk away makes going into De Panne really easy.

Good base for exploring the area.

A comfortable hotel with public transport and a couple of bars within a very short walk. The bed was very good and our room faced the back garden so was nice and quiet. Family rooms are available. Able to park on site for free. Plenty of choice for breakfast and an honesty bar if you preferred to stay on the premises.

Check in time could have been a little earlier (16.00-19.00)

Rooms very clean and appealing. Breakfast couldnt be any better. Just one minute walk to the tram station. We just stayed one night on our trip from UK to Germany, but enjoyed our stay very much und would have liked to stay longer!

the breakfast was amazing and the owner very friendly and helpful. the location is a bit outside La Panne but easily accessible and with a nice garden and outside part. the room was very clean and comfortable. the parking offered at the backyard of the property was very appreciated also.

Bad

Even if there were many positive aspects of our stay, the event at departure completely ruined all the experience. Moreover, it turned it into a nightmare. We will never ever visit this place again, and we hope that Booking.com will take the necessary to defend every customer which might be a victim of this establishment. Our sincerest advice is to go through the negative comments for this B&B and take them very seriously. They are TRUE despite the impressively high score it has. Otherwise you risk to suffer as we did.

We were aggressed by the cleaning lady (later we understood she was the spouse of the owner) who invaded our room to clean shortly after the check-out time has arrived. She was physically and verbally violent and refused to leave which in the context of the corona measures was even more disturbing. Unacceptable attitude to customers. Then we had problems with the payment. The same (cleaning) lady appeared and forced us to pay in cash though the owner proposed an option to pay with the bank app earlier. She started threatening us that she would call the police. We were then physically pushed to get out through the door. This is a crazy, stunning situation which I cannot associate with any sane mind. We were so shocked that we had to file a police report. Whatever written in response, will come from these same people who did this to us.

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen. Mooie kamer met het nodige comfort. Uitgebreidt ontbijt en mooie tuin waar je, zeker in zomer, gezellig kan vertoeven. Afstand tot plopsaland is heel kortbij, voor ons verblijf ideaal.

Le propriétaire s’est installé son petit coin de paradis (animaux, jardin paysager, parking /show room pour sa MG rouge, brasero…) et le partage généreusement avec nous. Un grand bonjour à Charlotte et Caramel, les locataires permanents du jardin….
