Beautiful Como

The location was perfect! 100 metres to the lake front, restaurants and bars. The accommodation was very appealing, the room and bathroom were a generous size with a modern feel. We were located on the first floor and our room had a small balcony which opened out onto Piazza Cavour. If visiting beautiful Como again we would not hesitate in staying at B&B Residenza Cavour again.

Camilla hosts a lovely small B&B.

Everything about Residenza Cavour was great. They were very communicative and met us when we arrived to check us in quickly. Camilla took excellent care to explain everything to us. Our room was a family room with a US-king and a small sofa bed. The bathroom was spacious with great water pressure and hot water basically on demand. The shower is not large tho. We found both the bedroom bed and the sofa bed to be very comfortable. This is not a frilly place, but it is very clean and incredibly convenient. The B&B is the second floor of an old apartment building. There is a small elevator for bags. We arrived by taxi from Milan airport in less than an hour. We departed by train and it was an easy walk to the station. During our stay there was a ferry strike, but if we’d been able to take one the ticket office and docs were essentially across the street. We walked to the funicular for a trip up to Brunate and we wandered the squares and enjoyed cocktails. We took Camilla’s recs for dinner and were not disappointed. All in all a wonderful two days in Como.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The location was excellent. When we arrived we were greeted and helped with the parking.

Beyond our welcome on árticall there was no staff to ask questions.

Amazing location, right in the heart of Como.

The location is fabulous, in the central square just across from the lake boat ticket office. Close to the lake, shops and restaurants (we found a great family run restaurant just around the corner) An old italian hotel repurposed. Breakfast is provided in a the square at a local cafe. The rooms are very clean,modern and well furnished.

The hotel is in a traffic zone so you can't park outside. The closest car park is 400m and there are no fridges in the rooms

Incredible location and comfortable room with great staff

The location is absolutely spectacular. You could not find a better area to stay in Como. The neighbourhood is bustling but not too loud, the lake is a few feet away, and the nicest restaurants are all a 5 minute walk. The room was also super clean and comfortable. The staff are incredible - thank you Camilla and Margherita for your wonderful hospitality :)

Location, Location

The location was perfect. In the centre of Como, close to the Lake & the ferry ticket booth. It meant we could go down early and buy our ferry ticket to avoid the massive queue, and go back and have our breakfast. There was a McDonalds across the road with cheap cappuccinos and alfresco tables that we could sit at at no charge.

Not a deal breaker but a bit of road noise thru the window at times.

Situated in the center, next to shops and restaurants. Very clean, warm and cozy room. Bed and pillows very comfortable.

It's an old building with probably original doors, floors and windows, so it can be pretty noisy (noise from the street or from the neighbors). If you're not a light sleeper this is a minor flaw.

Very good but with some flaws.

We had the blue room. The location is excellent, it's close to everything. Decent sized apartment. Very nice, modern shower. Comfortable bed. It blacked out nicely with the shutter down.

If you're a light sleeper you will struggle. There is a considerable amount of street noise and from others in the building. The main front door has a really sticky lock. It was difficult to unlock sometimes. The owner is very unresponsive compared to other places I've stayed.

It's right in the city's heart. The hosts are very welcoming and available in case you need some help. I needed a bowl for my dog, and they immediately brought two.

The floor was squicky, and I was tiptoeing the whole night. It's a little noisy at night as there is no noise cancellation system in the house.

Superb

location perfect in the centre of town. lovely room set on second floor of historic building. because it is in a restricted area for vehicles, parking has to be in a public car park some streets away which is a short walk but a more convoluted drive. breakfast vouchers provided for a nearby cafe but lots of eating opportunities on the doorstep. we will be back.
