Close to the railway station and the lake, nice room and beautiful view

Restaurant was not opened during our stay apart from breakfast service; maybe out of season? Worth mentioning since alternatives are at least 25 minutes walk

Lovely Lake Bled

Stunning location, great car parking

Penzion Zaka is in a great location on the Bled Lake, and an easy 20 min walk to the town and restaurants. Rooms large and beds comfy. Convenient car parking on site. Stunning views from the lakeside room with balcony.

It's right next to the rowing centre, so if there's an event on it is noisy. Staff didn't welcome us or provide any information. You have to seek them out for anything. The cafe on site closes after day trippers have left. A €20 taxi fare to go 2 kms each way, so expensive option for going out for dinner as there's no hotel shuttle service. Flights of stairs to carry luggage up. No elevator. Shower very small.

Traditional hotel in a great setting by the lake - perfect for nature and fitness.

The location is stunning - on the quiet side of the lake but easy to walk to restaurants. Perfect for an early morning swim before breakfast. The hotel staff are laid back and friendly if you like having freedom and being left to get on with it this is a good place. The restaurant and bar close at 7pm and so you need to go elsewhere for supper - we enjoyed this as it’s great to explore - if you don’t like walking I recommend hiring a bike for your stay.

The rooms are a little dated but we didn’t mind - they are just like the photos. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable- no noise at night.

At the waterfront of Lake Bled

The hotel is located right at the Bled Lake beach, which is very convenient in summer. Breakfast is held at the terrace with a view over the lake. The meal itself was good. Parking is available with prior reservation.

Due to the beach proximity it was a bit noisy and crowded during the day. Our bathroom smelled a bit musty. Rude service at the restaurant downstairs during the dinner time.

The location was amazing, central to all the lake has to offer.

There were not many staff in the hotel to help us understand where to find location of buses or other information. The staff that were there were good but always very busy.

We loved Lake Bled and the direct access to the lake from this hotel

The quadruple room was quite tight and there was a bathroom fan outlet on timer in the room which kept coming on and off all night. Breakfast was also very minimal and I wouldn’t get that included next time as the campground down the path has a lovely restaurant and gourmet croissant options.

Perfect location

Perfect location when travelling by train and we were able to leave our bags for the morning then check in quite early. Great to be able to swim next to the hotel. The breakfast was delicious with a good choice.of both hot and cold food. Staff were friendly.

We were a bit disappointed by the very limited 'à la carte' menú where the only side option was fries. That said, the meal was quite tasty and the wine was delicious.

Lovely friendly hotel in perfect location

We loved this hotel! Location was excellent, right on the lake. Really lovely relaxed atmosphere - the bar and restaurant were brilliant. Our rooms were really spacious and comfortable with gorgeous lake views from the balcony - up on the top floor. Excellent service, particularly from the manager who went out of her way to help on several occasions, organising taxis and paddle board hire for us. They were obviously a busy team but really couldn't do enough to help and were so welcoming, made it such an easy and relaxing stay. Whole family had a brilliant few days and would love to visit again one day. Highly recommend!

As some reviews have mentioned, the decor could probably do with an update, but did not detract at all from the warm, welcoming atmosphere - was clean and comfortable, no complaints at all.

The location! On the far side of the lake, with its own beach and docks. A quiet side with many fun activities; hiking, rowing, biking, swimming the trampoline park and a couple great places to eat. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic experience

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly, kind, and always ready to help. Their excellent service truly made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive care throughout my visit, everything was handled with professionalism and a smile. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

A wonderful gem by the lake

Communication with staff before visit was so helpful and friendly. They were very accommodating re room upgrade, early check in and late check out. The location was incredible, right on the lake with fantastic views. Room was spacious, and had everything we needed. Balcony overlooking the lake was amazing. Wonderful setting and would definitely recommend.

Lake Bled is exceptionally picturesque and the location of Penzion Zaka about as perfect as you can

Location superb. Our room was large with a balcony overlooking the lake. Very clean. Breakfast was good. Some hot food. Not deluxe but much better than some.

No food in the evening at the restaurant, may have been related to the time of year. Another restaurant was 700m away, so not Too bad.

Lot of stairs and long poorly maintained corridors. The property has a good location but by failing to maintain it and develop the restaurant/ cafe it has suffered and is very tired

Lovely place to stay

The staff at the hotel were so nice and friendly and very kind to our children. The location is unrivalled, right on Lake Bled. It's a Pension so you have to take that into account if you're used to fancy hotels but you won't find nicer hosts or a better location. The breakfast was really good too. Lots of great options including fresh fruit every day.

The only small complaint was the TVs in the room. One only picked up 2 channels and the other needed re-connecting to the WiFi network every day. Not a big deal but would be nice if fixed

Intermittent buzzing sound; BR window was hard to lock and was overlooking same floor balcony, old heating elements present not in use. Shower drain was a little slow (design issue) and grout at bottom of shower was in need of replacement.

Amazing and beautiful location and perfect staff running the hotel and restaurant.

My stay here was perfect. The location on the lake was so beautiful and peaceful. Nice, beautiful and easy walk to the Bled Castle and to the town. And I recommend walking all around the lake on the nice path/trail. This is a really beautiful area. Parking is easy, convenient and free here. The mother and daughter duo that were running the hotel and breakfast were so amazing and nice and friendly. Really enjoyed meeting them and talking to them. They did a great job with the breakfast, and it was delicious with many options for food and morning drinks like orange juice and apple juice, etc. The mother also was the receptionist, and I was so happy when she left the key out for me because I arrived late because of the horrible holiday traffic jams on the German Autobahn that day when I drove 9 hours to Bled from the Frankfurt area. This is a must-see area with the epic scenery and Bled Castle and the tiny island with the church on it. You can take a peaceful 25-minute rowboat to the island hand powered by a local. I really enjoyed staying on the other side of the lake from town where it was really quiet but yet an easy 20-minute walk or so to town depending on how fast you walk. The restaurant was also very good. I got back from my walk around the lake at 5 pm and I was the only one there in the restaurant and they still served me a very delicious meal. I had the trout dish, and it was perfect. I offered to go somewhere else since I was the only client there in that moment and I didn't want to bother them anymore, but they still wanted to serve me. I was very happy with my stay in Bled. I would obviously stay here again. I should go in the summer and see it when all is green.

Staff were amazing - had issue with our car when travelling and receptionist was incredibly helpful in introducing Iggy who lent me tools and his time to repair. Location is also amazing.

The location is superb (close to the church in the lake) and areas where to swim. A Restaurant and a bar in the same place.

Excellent location, right on the lakeside. Good for walking, running or swiming. Very kind lady at the reception

The breakfast was rather poor. There were only few bakery, and not much else. Some buns, crescent rolls, or sweet bakery for children would be needed. The restaurant was a disappointment after all, as we had once a lunch and dinner there too, but it was not tasty.
