Penzion Zaka

The location of this place is great if you want to take advantage of the lake. It's not in the middle of Bled Town. You're directly on the lake. The ladies who run the place are lovely, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are basic but have some charm. We had one with a great balcony and awesome view. Having the bar/restaurant area there is convenient. The included breakfast was convenient. If you're a runner, this is a fantastic place to stay. Amazing spot to get up and go for a run. It's also a great place to get boats and paddle boards nearby. We rented a car, and there was parking.

The internet doesn't work. Don't even try. It doesn't work. The lake area is overwhelmed by crowds. It's not a private lake area for the hotel; it's open to the public and it's swarmed with people. Not the worst thing, but don't expect a private lake spot to yourself. Breakfast is okay but can be a bit sad at times. There was fruit out that should not have been served. You could smell it souring, and some of it looked so beat up and rough that it should've been thrown away. The price felt a bit steep.

Great location right on the lake, with balcony overlooking the lake. Could step right outside and swim. Air con was good, and free parking a bonus. Fridge in room also useful.

Wasn’t that clean, floors were full of bits for the whole stay. Bins were emptied daily but nothing else done in the room. Blind fell down but we fixed it. Food wasn’t great, breakfast looked to be the exact same tray of sausages and eggs as the previous day. Also had pizzas one night which were not great, who knew you could mess up pizza! only one mirror which was in the bathroom which held up the bathroom when 3 of us trying to get ready. Staff were hardly around, no one ever on reception, also looked annoyed when we turned up for breakfast each day, even though it is included in the stay.

Location was great. It was right on the lake and beautiful.

I had to wait 30 minutes to check in. I was tired from the long trip. There was a Ring camera type bell and the woman said she would be right there and never came. I waited patiently and finally rang the bell again after 30 Minutes and she came shortly after that. I should have rang the bell again after only 15 minutes. It was too long. Breakfast was very good with many choices but didn’t open until 8am and coffee wasn’t ready until 8:15 AM.

It’s at the quiet end of the lake which is lovely and is right by the water. We had a triple lake view room and it was great to sit on the balcony.

It’s ridiculously expensive for what you get. It’s rustic and in need of modernisation. The room wasn’t even serviced while we were there. Breakfast is hit and miss. It runs 8-10am but by 915am if things have run out it seems it’s too bad and you have to make do. I did ask if there was more egg or pancakes but told no it’s finished.
