Beautiful hotel overlooking the lakes. So much to see and do. Staff very friendly especially the lady that works in the restaurant and right through . Dinner in hotel expensive but amazing. Beautiful walks a d places to see. Highly recommend it.

Great location for a stay overlooking lake bled

The interior and the grounds. The location is perfect. The fact that it was a former residence of the Yugoslavian dictator Tito made it more of an interesting hotel. So much history.

Upscale Retro Charm at a Postcard Location

The Vila Bled is a bit more upscale than we typically book. We are so glad we stayed here. Everything was perfect. We especially loved the wonderful breakfast on the terrace. Such a postcard view. The staff was professional and warm. The stay includes several built-in amenities including an hour rowboat rental. (That's enough to row to the island, explore a bit and return). We highly recommend Vila Bled.

From the first interaction with Verena’s welcoming at reception to our wonderful suite the stay was memorable.

So much history it felt like we were staying in opulence in 1957.

Too expensive if you travel with a pet

Breakfast and location of the hotel was superb.

They charge €35 per night per pet which very expensive. For this money they do not provide anything for a dog not even treats. Also they charge an expensive rate for rooms, again not worth it.

superb location, premises impregnated by the history (it was the summer residence of Marshall Tito) and very nice staff . The private beach is a real plus

No lunch service available Service was slow when sitting on the terrace for drinks and sometimes at breakfast Housekeeping didn’t top up coffee and tea daily Restaurant menu offering 3 courses for €68 but one course for €56. There were no cold starters available at all and one of the main dishes was not available. We loved the food we had but didn’t find this to be good value.

A fantastical place to stay

View of Lake Bled was stunning. Suite was huge. The whole hotel was was on a grand scale with all Tito’s legacy. Boat trip and private swimming

Great location in a great building but sadly a poor hotel

The location is spectacular and if you are a fan of 20th century architecture and design the is a fascinating place

The restaurant is rather soulless and overpriced. I also contracted food poisoning when I ate there on my first night and spend 24 hours sick in my room. When I informed the staff they said they were sorry but made no attempt to take it seriously or offer any kind of discount.

Beautiful historic villa, lovely spacious suite with views over the lake. Wonderful breakfast included, and excellent dinner at the restaurant ( we ate there twice). Private swimming area in the lake was a bonus. Beautiful grounds

The lake is magical. The hotel is striking.

It is magnificent in its location and history. The room was enormous.

Having booked dinner at 8pm I called to say we were delayed by traffic to be told 8pm was the latest booking the kitchen would accept. This morning we had a spa booking - yesterday we were told there was a water test but that should be done by our slot - and when we arrived at the spa it was closed.

Location, spaciousness, glamour and history. Superb.

The location is superb with views over Lake Bled from every dining table. If you enjoy a sense of place with history built in - with mid 20th century glamour barely restrained by socialist aesthetic then you won’t mind the lack of a few mod cons. Super spacious rooms - red carpet marble staircase , genteel service and private lakeside loungers with a boat thrown in. And a super charming and helpful lifeguard. A blast from the past with unparalleled views. Highly recommend

It needs a little sprucing up here and there. We had 20th century air con - giant ceiling fans which kept the main room in our apartment cool but it could be a little stuffy. Nevertheless an extra fan was provided and it was 31 degrees when we were staying . It didn’t mar our stay at all but something to consider for guests who require modern air conditioning

Beautiful palace emerged in history on the most beautiful Lake Bled

The palace is outstanding and you felt emerged in the history of Tito. The park grounds were beautiful and there is a private beach onto the lake with a lovely guy offering drinks. Restaurant spectacular and the views of Lake Bled and breakfast fantastic. Staff very nice and accommodating and we had a suite nearly bigger than the downstairs of my house.

The shower in the bathroom was mediocre. The handheld showerhead was not secured so it was difficult to use.

A highlight of our Slovenia trip

Quirky hotel in stunning location - an oasis in Bled which can get very busy with tourists. Staying here felt like a privilege. Staff were kind and helpful, we loved it. The private bathing deck down at the lake was especially beautiful and appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Dinner was a highlight of our trip to Slovenia

The rooms were spacious but in need of some upgrades (air conditioning or better cooling system), bathroom. For a hotel of this quality they seemed a little short staffed in places … nevertheless the staff who were there did their best to serve everyone.

Putting aside the room, a great hotel. Unfortunately the room is an important part of a hotel stay :

Great location, the private beach, and the staff were all nice. Also a very tasty breakfast.

Everything about the room. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, the bathroom shower was impossible to use without getting water all over the floor, it was very hard to walk around the room without bumping into the bed, and it was hard to sleep given how hot the room was and no screen for the door.

Amazing location, fabulous beachclub,

Some of the staff are unsmiling and unfriendly - particularly during breakfast service. One of the senior reception team was blatantly rude when I asked for help booking a restaurant - asking me to wait to speak to a colleague who was clearly busy with a check-in and just going into her office and closing the door. This hotel has the atmosphere of a place that was once amazing and now suffers from under-investment. Rooms are dated and facilities are disappointing. The hotel website mentions a spa with treatment menu but in reality limits entry to 4 guests, and we were told no treatments would be possible during our stay. Even water is chargeable in the mini bar. The bar was empty of staff and guests at 9 pm at night. We were not allowed use of the beach club on one of days due to "construction" work which was hugely disappointing. None of this made us feel particularly welcome! And the staff were very focused on a large group coming for a wedding the following day. In contrast I think we were something og an irritation. We were allowed to use it on our final morning though which was a consolation we were grateful for.

Loved the location and included amenities (breakfast, spa, rowboats) and the historical significance of the building with maintained offices/rooms of President Tito.

Floors and carpets are tired and could use a refinish and update. Sauna was broken.

A summer house of Tito as an amazing location at the Lake. Suite was extremely large and you can see the old glory as if you travel back in time. Easy free parking in front of the hotel.

A luxurious stay in an elegant, historic environment.

The view was sublime. The food was delicious. The service was very good, friendly and helpful. Immaculate room and public areas. Fantastic art in public areas. Elegant, relaxing environment.

It was difficult to contact the hotel prior to arrival to ask for a taxi from the station. Phone calls, texts and emails were not answered. It was difficult to find contact details and the hotel’s own website. The bedroom would benefit from air conditioning.

Amazing stay at a historic hotel on beautiful Lake Bled.

Location of the hotel is superb--right on the lake and near enough to the island that you can row yourself over if you wish. Excellent breakfast. We had dinner two nights while we were there. The first night was for convenience, as we got in rather late, but the second night was by choice because the first night's dinner was terrific. Very sophisticated and delicious cuisine.

the overall property is just amazing. the grounds were sprawled over a few acres and the property is on Lake Bled. The staff at the hotel were at the highest standard. always helpful and courteous. this includes all the staff.

while the hotel is gorgeous it is showing a little age in some areas. this didn’t deter from our great time their, just something to point out.
