Nice place if u wanna visit bled.

Location great,clean,friendly staff,great Food both dinner and breakfast.

Small rooms. Toilet just separated by the half transparent glass from the rest of the room(your partner can see everything u do in there literally). Too hot sometimes.

Great location and friendly staff

Our stay in Hotel Starkl was very comfortable and made even better by the warm and friendly staff. The location is spectacular. Views over Lake Bled, Bled Island and the Castle. A bonus was waking up each morning to a delicious and varied buffet breakfast and then heading out for an easy walk along the lake into town or hopping onto a pletna (traditional boat) straight in front of the hotel. Bled Mlino bus stop is outside the hotel with regular buses running in either direction towards Ljubljana or Bohinj Ukanc. We had dinner at the restaurant two nights and the food was so delicious and reasonably priced. A kettle, small fridge and tea and coffee were provided.

Pleasent place for short stay

Very clean, small and pleasent hotel in an old villa. Feeling like you returned back in time. Ideal for shorter stays. Great location on the lake coast, with very nice view (even if you book family room, which is located on the back side, you will still have partial view on the lake).

Parking should be free for hotel guests. There is no elevator, so if you have heavy bags, it is a bit inconvenient. Bathroom is very small.

Lovely place

Stunning location adjacent to boat trips and bus stop. The room was warm and comfortable and the view from the window was simply wonderful.

A mixed bag

Lovely breakfast, really useful location for boats to the island, comfy beds, mini bar was a nice addition. The free toiletries were V good.

The bathroom was translucent which lacked privacy and was uncomfortable given I was travelling with a friend, the TV was not on the opposite wall to the beds and the beds were against a slanted wall so it was not comfortable to relax in the room

Peaceful stay

Being so close to the lake and walking the path around the lake. Fun seeing groups of people going out on the boats mid November after a snowfall the evening before.

Lovely heritage hotel facing Lake Bled

Lovely heritage hotel with a great restaurant. We ate there both nights. Highly recommend the pork ribs. The gorgeous Lake Bled is in front of the hotel. Nice young man carried out bags upstairs for us. Nice breakfast spread, loved the smoked salmon.

Be aware that there is no lift. We were on second floor so you need to be able to walk up stairs. It was a shame that the largest rooms face the back rather than the lake. The shower is a little small.

Beautiful location for stunning views

The building and decoration were lovely. The location was incredible and the view from my room was beautiful! Thea at reception was so kind and answered all my questions. Love that breakfast is included too. I had a lovely meal and Johan (I hope I spelled that right!) was super friendly. I also liked the free champagne for guests ordering from the a la carte menu - it was a nice touch!

The bathroom felt crowded with the door opening inwards (a sliding door would be better). I also found a few hairs on the floor and in my bed which i wouldn’t expect from a hotel of this calibre. I went for a coffee at the restaurant and the staff barely acknowledged me and kept chatting to each other. Service in the evening was much better

Beautiful and tranquil.

Everything was perfect, from parking to food to the bed. The views were incredible. A great and convenient location for any traveler. The staff was helpful from taking our bags upstairs to helping us navigate the area.

Good location, tiny rooms.

Fantastic location. Has a restaurant attached to the hotel which has pretty amazing food. Bang in the city centre.

Only double rooms have lake side view. Since we are family, we could not get that. Also, rooms are extremely small. Bathrooms are tiny! There is no option of night lamps so either sleep in complete darkness or sleep like it's the day. Bathrooms is of glass so even that light doesn't help.

Must stay! Perfect location, best staff, and great restaurant!

The front desk team were amazing!!! They saw us wearing our wedding attire and upon our return, they had a table reserved for us with flowers and champaign! Also, breakfast was amazing !

Very comfortable room - airconditioning, comfortable bed, good size bathroom. The hotel is in a great location across the road from the lake. The restaurant was reasonably priced. Excellent breakfast

The shower was minute. Unnecessarily small for the size of the bathroom it was in. Terrible design. The restaurant for dinner was only OK.

Stunning view over lake bled

The first thing that comes to mind is the sensational view over lake bled and the castle. The hotel is still very new and one can still see that it was renovated not so long ago. We had a room with a balcony which was very nice. The bathroom was very modern and equipped with high quality soaps and shampoos. The bed is very comfortable. Breakfast was also very good!

There is nothing negative in my opinion. A few things that could bother some people: - There is a quite busy road between the hotel and the lake. So if you want to enjoy a quiet afternoon on the balcony, you will here some road noise. But the windows and doors are soundproof so you don’t hear it when their closed. - The rooms are quite cozy, so there is not that much space for your luggage. - There is no elevator. But walking a few steps is always a good workout. These are all points that become clear by looking at the pictures and reading the information, so it was no surprise to us when we arrived. It’s a great hotel that I would definitely recommend!

Hotel Starkl is a gem on a beautiful lake.

We absolutely would recommend staying at the Hotel Starkl. The hotel was located on the Lake, we had a beautiful view of the castle from our room. It was slightly outside of the main city which to us made it even more desirable. Right across the road from the hotel was one of the 3 locations to catch the traditional boats which took you out to the island with the chapel. And it literally only took 8 minutes to walk to town on the path that went around the lake. We walked to the entrance to the castle, we walked around the lake all from Hotel Starkl. The staff was very professional, breakfast was nice and included. The room was very comfortable and roomy. I was so so happy with my choice of hotel. Oh yeah, you can swim in lake Bled right across from the hotel. Excellent experience.

Great location, hot the balcony overlooking the lake - definitely recommend! There is a grocery store 2 min walk. The breakfast had loads of options. Would definitely book again.

The parking. It is charged but it is only 5 euro a night so not bad but wasn’t clear when booking. Also the parking is shared with the restaurant so there wasn’t many spots available during peak times.

Fabulous stay at Hotel Starkl!

This hotel was in a perfect location on Lake Bled and the staff were so kind and helpful. We had a gorgeous view of the lake, the air conditioning in the room was awesome and the beds were pretty comfy. We ate at the restaurant on our first night and the food was great! From an amenity perspective, we rented paddleboards and towels from the hotel directly, which was easy and convenient. We loved being able to walk out and go for a swim or relax on the banks. This hotel is a short walk to the main town with many restaurants and the castle. We loved our stay and would stay again!

Good in terms of location (but the room could be much better for the price)

The location is great, you step out of the hotel and the lake is right in front of you.

The room was very small and uncomfortable, felt claustrophobic. The bed was not comfortable either (the springs creaked whenever you turned over). The bathroom is super tiny.

Fairy Tale setting in Lake Bled

This property is so well located right across the street from the lake. We had a bit of a view of the lake from our room. It is located a bit of a distance from the main area of Bled where most of the shops and restaurants are located. There is a nice cafe located adjacent to the property but we did not eat there so can't rate the quality of the meals. The location does provide a quieter stay and boats to Bled Island are located right across the street. The staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful.

The property does not have an elevator or lift so if you are located on one of the upper floors and have heavy luggage, getting to your room is a bit of a challenge. We were located on the first floor and the desk personnel did help us carry our luggage up to our room.

Stunning lakeside location with some facility let downs.

The location was spectacular with very close bus stops and a short walk next to the lake to Bled centre. A welcome drink at the attached restaurant was a nice touch with dinner and the breakfast was a nice mix of options.

The shower in our room was quite small and meant limited room for turning around or reaching while inside without accidentally turning the shower off. The low ceilings next to the bed itself wasn't ideal.

Great hotel. Fantastic location. Rooms very clean and recently decorated. Breakfast v good ordered omelette which was lovely. Restaurant on site too.

Nothing It would have been nice to have a communal seating area outside other than the restaurant.
