Dreamy views, wonderful staff, lovely location, and 100% would recommend to anyone staying in Bled

I cannot express how perfect of a location this was. The scenery outside of our window was a dream, and there were incredible restaurants within short walking distance. It was also magical to have the rentable rowboats so accessible. The breakfast offered in the restaurant was incredible, the spread was beyond impressive. Staff members went the extra mile and were some of the friendliest people we encountered on our trip.

Nice pleasant rooms at Lake Bled

The staff is very accomodating (helped us with late arrival); quiet, comfortable room; hotel is right across the street from Lake Bled; walking distance to Bled city center.(bars, stores, restaurants, etc.) Free, safe parking on site. Great breakfast --many choices, fresh food. Our host was Sabina and she was professional and friendly.

I liked the view and the rooms were very cozy. I also liked that the bedroom was separate. The staff was very friendly and overall it was a good stay.

It was a bit cooler however they do have extra things to keep you warm.

Cute small hotel away from the big tourist places with great food, view and service.

By far the nicest hostess on our 6-week trip. Greeting, explaining all the dishes to us, offering activity suggestions, genuine warmth. Really cute hotel right on the lake with boat rentals, far from the big tourist joints at the end of the lake with free parking and amazing breakfasts.

We had the attic room could be tight for larger people. (Booking.com seems to always give us the highest floors and furthest rooms)

A super small hotel overlooking Lake Bled.

A little gem of a property in a wonderful location with superb view of Lake Bled. The staff were most charming and helpful. We enjoyed dinner at the attached Carman restaurant. Amazing young chef produced excellent quality of food. The cream of garlic soup is highly recommended.

Absolutely magical.

The property has beautiful characteristics and came from a true Slovenian house hold. It is close to the lake and the staff is exceptional. I loved it so much I’m going to book again for next year.

Fabulous. Preferred this location away from busy centre but walkable

We booked the room with balcony and parking. The view of the lake and its beautiful church was incredible! We ate breakfast, one lunch, and both our dinners on the balcony. This more than made up for the extra cost of this room as we saved so much on not eating out. Plus our view was better. The room had a fridge and two-ring stovetop. A kettle. No coffee maker, microwave or toaster. But we could cook pasta. And soups. And chill wine. And it worked out great. This is a 20 minute walk from the busy centre of Bled. Far enough away to be away from the crowds but still convenient. We did the lake walk but came back to room to eat. Room was clean and comfortable. We even used the sauna. Staff were super friendly and helpful. This room comes with Parking right outside which was great. Pay the extra. Get this room. It was worth every penny and Carman House absolutely turned our Bled experience into something magical.

A lovely stay perfect for wellness and relaxation at the heart of lake bled. Would definitely recommend

A lovely little B&B right on the lake, I love that you step outside and the lake is right in front of you. The B&B came with lots of perks like a complimentary hour on the rowing boats and 10% off at the restaurant next door. You can also rent paddle boards and go for a swim right outside. There is also a super market right next door and the centre is only a 20 minute walk away. Loved the little additions of sweets, tea/coffee and loo roll outside the rooms in case you needed any. Very pleasant stay

Our room had the view of the lake and room service provided every two days. Breakfast at a cost of 15 euros per person was very reasonable and spoilt for choice.

We had to lug our 20kg bags up a flight of stairs.

Spectacular view, disappointing accommodation

A spectacular, iconic view of Lake Bled and the island from the balcony! This is what you are paying for and it is arguably the best view of any hotel. However, be aware there is a road right underneath the balcony which in July is a traffic jam all day! It is a 20 minute walk into the centre of Bled and the more tranquil route in the opposite direction has some lovely cafe’s.

Sadly the apartment is tired and needs freshening up! When we arrived the bathroom door was hanging off one hinge and the shower was broken ( This was raised in a previous review so obviously not dealt with). We had to raise this twice with staff before the door was fixed. The shower never was. The bed headboard was flaking as was the balcony paint. These are all low level maintenance jobs and show a lack of attention to detail. Although, we enjoyed our stay in Bled, it was disappointing as I expected better quality given previous reviews.

Great spot but traffic an issue unless room at back

Location amazing! We booked the superior room which had a lounge and balcony in front with great views I recommend booking this as it has the bedroom at the back so you don’t hear the road noise!!

Great location, great property, great staff

Carman house was amazing! Firstly, what a great location. Directly opposite Lake Bled and had a view of the church on the island from my bedroom window. Room was clean and comfortable. The staff were great. They assisted us in getting to Lake Bled from Ljubljana including what bus to catch and the best stop to get off at. Staff at the front were friendly and offered great advice along the way. Loved the hotel had boats to rent and residents get an extra hour free. Had tea and coffee available for us to use as well which was great at night. Overall, this was such an amazing stay! Thank you so much, Carman House staff for a great stay

OK for one night

The room has a great view directly to the island. There is a free parking spot next to the house. There is a small super market next to the house. Staff is great and polite.

The room is really small. You cannot realize it on the pictures until you step in. The main problem is the noise. Room is 50cm next to the main road around the lake so you can and will hear all the buses, trucks and cars that are passing by - and they are passing during the whole night also :).

Absolutely delightful

Absolutely delightful hosts. We had a double room with lake view (photo below) and the view was spectacular. We also ate at the restaurant next door and the food was really good. We had the tortellini and the trout plus the traditional cream cake. Highly recommended. We would definitely come here again.

Great Views, Feels Like Home.

We were only here for one night but it was very cosy and the staff were excellent the entire time. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay here and will be raving about it for all. It was a little walk in to town, but along the lakeside it was quite a nice way to start/end the day as you headed in.

The only thing I could comment on was the roof. We had the loft room at the top and it got a little bit tight in some places for 2 two guys over 6 foot tall, but even that added to cosy feel of the room.

Unfortunately the Air Conditioning was broken and we were provided with a fan instead, which was noisy so we couldn't keep it on at night and were therefore rather hot

PERFECT Location, hospitality, view, facilities!

- Location: So perfect, just in the best spot of the Lake. You can enjoy a beautiful view from the terrace. A supermarket and a great restaurant is a few meters away from the apartment. - Noise: Even if it is located next to the road, it is very quiet during the night as there are no bars and such around that would disturb you. - Parking: Free parking place provided, which is quite unique in this area. - Equipment: Very well-equipped (shower gel, hair dryer, dish-cloth, towel, clean! sponge, dishwashing liquid, terrace furniture, coffee, tea), fridge, air-conditioning. - Staff: Very nice and helpful family is running the house. If we had any questions, they were happy to help.

- Terrace: It needs to be repainted, but is not essential. - Neighbour: At night you could hear the others on the same floor, but it is nothing that you can't live with.
