The rooms were great.
The staff wasn't as friendly as I was expecting, evening check in staff was straight to business not that welcoming type you normally receive. And the morning stuff to way to long giving me my check out receipt, the guest after us got theirs alot faster. 15 minutes to get a check out receipt, I've never waited that long for a receipt before.

I showed up after booking. Had just gotten a confirmation email for my stay. They literally told me I had no room because they over booked.
After speaking with a different hotel, because this one wouldn't give us a room after paying, staff mentioned that this hotel being reviewed, had sent multiple customers over with the same situation.
Lady at the desk lied multiple times and contradicted herself regarding our confirmation number and identification information.
Not her fault. I believe she was just reverting back to nervousness and dealing with multiple other people who were upset over the situation.
She was a nice lady, but her manger sat her up for failure.
11/10 would not recommend booking here or doing business with this hotel.

The property is as pictured in the ads and everything was clean.
The front desk and cleaning staff were very rude. upon checking in the employee continued to rush the process like I was annoying her or she had something better to do. She also let us know that booking was overcharging us for the room. When we asked for extra towels we had to come get them because “no one was bringing them to your room.” when we agreed the housekeeper for help he asked about what we were still in the hotel part the checkout time and was reluctant to help. And for the price this location is horrible. it’s so far from everything.

I was told, in an email, that my room charge would be the flat rate, even with 3 small Lhasa Apso dogs. I was concerned about fees that plague dog owners and was assured that I would only pay the flat rate.
I walk my dogs every 1 1/2 hours, they don't bark when in the room, don't chew anything but dog food, and I'm very disappointed that hotels are now using us to escalate fees.
$75. Is alot of money and you did not earn it. I took excellent care of your property, now please take care of a good customer.

The toilet in our room wouldn't pull water into the tank so it would flush.had to keep pulling the tank lid off and hitting the top of the mechanism to make it draw water.

We thought we were in a different location off Brownsboro Road but after a late dinner we went to check in and discovered our reservation was about 10 miles away at a different location. Very frustrating and the staff made no offer to accommodate us to make a change.

The wifi and cable was nice and it was clean and spacious for the most part. The King size bed was very comfortable.
The toilet was very low to the ground and the bed was a little too high. It was hard to get in and out of even though Im 5'9. There is absolutely no vending machines at all. If youre hungry you have to buy very over priced limited options of beverages and ramen noodles, small chip bags, and candy bars next to the front desk. It had nothing that was stated in the listing. If you wanted breakfast it was 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and it was cold for 8.50 per person. If you wanted a hot breakfast you had to order it from the kitchen that was open limited hours for much more money. The side door close to our hotel room would lock us out if we didn't prop the door open. There was no freezer in the refrigerator in our room and we were given only two keurig coffees and a couple tea pods and when we asked for more they were reluctant to give us some because they sell coffee by the desk as well. They also charge a 25.00 per night damage deposit even though it was not stated when booked either. There was absolutely no view, atleast from our room. When we looked out the window all we could see was the hotel 100 feet in front of us that we wished we had booked. Very disappointed to say the least.

BE AWARE there are several Hilton Garden Inn Louisville locations.
Exhausted I arrived at Hilton Garden Inn Louisville. After some confusion and a couple of calls the hotel clerk determined I was at the wrong location. Hotel clerk [nice young man] advised me since reservation was made thru Booking.com the hotel could not assist in changing reservation & I needed to call Booking.com for help. Booking.com kept the hotel clerk & myself on hold for over 30 minutes & then advised me they would not be of any assistance - said only hotel could assist or change reservation [ie ask hotel for help].
After over 10 hours on the road & very frustrating call, driving to different location in a strange city was not a good idea. Hilton Garden Inn Louisville East was advised I needed to cancel reservation.
Not only did I get charged anyway -- they overcharged my credit card!!! To be fair -- After several calls to Hilton Garden Inn East, I have gotten a refund of the overcharge - still waiting for balance to be credited. [Wonder if my time is worth anything hmmmm?]

I have only praise to offer. The front desk staff was extraordinarily helpful. My room was immaculate. Parking was never an issue at all.
