beds were comfortable, room was a good size for two people
had to let the shower run for 10 mins until there was hot water, we had no conditioner to use in the shower (bottle was empty); ice maker on our floor didn't work and had to go to another floor to get ice; $40 to park car overnight was extreme!

Friendly staff.
Way overpriced considering the quality of the room.

I liked the staff and the restaurant. The location was great for what we were doing in Pittsburgh.
The room was sub par and we had no hot water in our shower!

Location was great and room was cleam
Checking in and parking was very inconvenient. A heads up would have been nice or some direction once we arrived. Bedding wasn't too comfortable. Downtown pretty much shuts down after 10 so eating was a hassle. Ended up ordering a pizza for delivery.

The location was perfect for the concert I was going to at ppg. The manager who checked us in was so hospitable! It’s always nice being welcomed by someone so sweet.
The hotel restaurant has a very cozy feel to it. Tried it for the experience but probably won’t be going back. Pricey for the portions.

Location was not that great. Difficult to get to facilities being opened.
I didn't like location. I didn't like the room. They didn't clean it right. Very dusty. Our bed sheets were dirty toilet leaking water. Not to kept up. We have stayed in nicer hotels for the same price through booking for come. Overall it wasn't what I've expected.

Close proximity
Cleanliness, bathroom had mold in multiple places, the toilet and picture above it had prior guest pubic hair on it. Very outdated, dusty in multiple places. Cookies very dry.

I like the convenience of this hotel to PPG Place for concerts.
The hotel parking garage is a nightmare and a joke. Of course it was full when I arrived. I had to park at the USX Building I was told that was the hotel's overflow parking garage. That was fine and much cheaper than the hotel garage but I checked in on a Friday and out on a Monday. The only issue is the USX parking garage closes at 5pm on Friday and doesn't reopen until 9am Monday. That was not disclosed so if I had to leave over the weekend I would have been stuck. Be warned. Book your hotel garage parking when you book your hotel.

Nice rooms. Beds were nice.
Desk staff said the servers were down when we got there. Told us they couldn’t check in anyone for 3 more hours. Went down to get our bags for them to hold and came back and they were checking people in. Waited 40 minutes in line to get checked in.

It smells good!
The property as well as everything in it is very old and out of date! For the price they charge you would think they would update. AND THE PARKING IS WILD! $39 a night.

Every hotel needs a receptionist like Alley!! Nothing was too much trouble, first class customer service!
Hotel is well situated for Downtown and the PPG Paints arena! Room was sapacious and clean
Only a minor gripe but bar could be open longer. Unable to get a nightcap after events at the nearby arena!

The staff was pleasant
No parking, sent us to an overflow lot that was also full, for the money we spent this was not okay.

i loved that the beds were not close to the bathroom. The room had so much space and I loved it!
The mirror area outside of the bathroom (lights and electrical plugs) does not work. We could not use it for getting ready. Did not know that, and my phone and watch did not charge.

Nothing
Valet 40, handicap shower didn’t drain, light flickering, chair stained , can’t plug in microwave refrigerator and coffee at same time

Amazing location for getting to and from the stadiums!
Felt a little dated but was still very clean and comfortable.
5.0 / 10.0
The room was spacious.
The set up of the room was not appropriate. The coffee bar was in the kids bedroom, also, there were ants in our room and the sheets were stained.

My family and I stayed for a concert near by. I paid a large amount to actually stay at this hotel. There were somethings I didn’t know prior to reserving the stay. Key things before you go. The rooms are much smaller than the pictures. You’ll pay 50.00 a day for incidentals. We stayed 3 nights. There is No Available Parking nearby. We paid $39.00 a day To PARK. This was deducted from the incidental charge. While the staff was great, very friendly, the bartender in the evening was really rude. I walked in the lounge and asked when did the lounge close? The bartender mumbled something. I had to ask a patron at the bar “What did the bartender say”? The patron said “He’ll be with you in a minute” I was fine with that but I stood there for 5 minutes when the bartender could’ve said when the lounge was closing. I had to ask the staff at the front desk because I never got a response from the bartender. For the money we spent to stay there, I feel we should’ve been treated way better than this. I can tell you, in addition to the amount to stay at the hotel, bank on spending way more than you’ve planned. The location was great but we’ll think about staying somewhere else.

Nice, clean rooms and of course the cookies are delicious.
The wait for an elevator is long.

Staff was friendly
Loud construction like sounds early in the morning. Cleaning crew very loud in the hallways in the morning and there was no body wash in the shower

Close to PPG Arena. Easy walking distance.
Elevator was broken out 2 day stay there - had to climb flights of steps. Also, no hot water on our second day for the 2 rooms I booked. Unable to get showers or use hot water. No manager on site for this issue, requested a call at check out. Did not receive one. Have not received any follow up regarding this issue despite filing complaints with Doubletree by Hilton. There was a large loud barking dog on our floor that could be heard anytime Someone accessed the stairs, which were in use all of the time because the elevators were broken.

The room was shabby. We had to have a repairman in to fix toilet that ran. but repairman very nice and friendly. we enjoyed him.
Front desk greeter was somewhat surly. ( It was hot outside.)

Didn’t have the breakfast
Terrible customer service. Texted with staff asking for the king rooms I booked and said unavailable. Full size bed was supposed to be at least a queen but was lied to

The room was spacious and clean. Great location within walking distance from PPG paints arena.
It was 3:30pm when we arrived. Check in is at 4pm. Our room wasn't ready until 4:30pm. The men's restroom is out of service off of the lobby, only women's restroom is working so we had to stand outside the door so my son could go into the women's restroom. So I would say check in could have gone smoother.

Location is ok and they have a 7/11 attached but it closes at 9pm
The price is outrageous, the rooms are old and small and the beds are ridiculous. The beds sink right down in the middle. The elevators are old and slow. My husband and son got stuck in one of the elevators and fireman had to pry them out! Then had to take 13 stair flights to our room. There’s also bathroom construction, so main lobby bathrooms are on the 3rd floor. Smh, would rather stay at a comfort inn or la Quinta. Oh also, parking is $30 per night. Rip off.

Was close to the ppg arena
Not having free parking
4.0 / 10.0
This hotel has great access to the downtown and all the arenas.
This is the second time at this property the cleanliness has left something to be desired at the room rate. While this is out of the control of the hotel the elevators were so busy we ended up using the stairs frequently .
