Luxurious room with plenty of light, friendly staff, and great location.
Location was perfect for my purposes. I did arrive in the morning for a lunch time meeting, and as there was an available room, the front desk kindly checked me in early. This was hugely appreciated.
Within the actual room itself, I would have appreciated a coat hook and a boot tray for wet shoes. I was there during a light winter storm, and it was not ideal to hang my wet things in the closet.

A waste of money on my wife’s 50 birthday
Location
Staying here used to b a wonderful full service experience and now it’s a run down service-less mess. Everything in the room is broken and room service is the girl at the front who checked u in with to go containers in a brown bag with plastic forks. A towel and a half and a 5 dollar water in a 400 dollar a night room is disgusting. The curtains have holes and there r pictures ripped off the walls. We won’t b back for the view as we will try and remember what once was a very nice place and is now a run down mess with very very very bad service.

Location Location Location! Great place to stay when seeing a show at the Benedum.
The room's doorknob gave us some problems. The card worked but we had to really yank hard on the door lever to get the door open. Also, while showering, a good bit of water escaped to the floor (enough to soak the bath mat) even though we had the liner inside the tub.

Wonderful
Staff was very friendly and inclusive. Location location location!!!! Loved the area. Super easy to get around and close to so many things. Valley service was really nice. A little pricey I think but super nice.
On morning of checkout could not watch anything on the tv in the room starting at like 3-4 am. Was up early and wanted a slow morning checking out, finish watching a movie from the night before and get breakfast. The tv kept kicking me out every 30 mins or so after not having any problems the other days we stayed.

My wife and I spent our yearly holiday night out at the Renaissance for dinner and a good night.
I loved the location. My wife and I always do a night staycation in our city after Christmas (It had been some time since we had stayed here, but this may be my favorite). However, having booked through booking, and having stayed before with a more complete view down the river, I will make sure to pay more, get the full view, experience. The bathroom was actually larger this stay with the smaller room (we still had a slight view. The room was still comfortable/ romantic. And I always look for rooms that are soundproofed to put my wife at ease. On a cold evening, to have the restaurant downstairs, even in the lobby, made things so easy. We enjoyed our complimentary appetizer, everything, and our server couldn't have been nicer. I loved the lobby decorated for Christmas. It is simply grand. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the room warm (perhaps my wife made it too so, but it was fine). For a grande dame of yesteryear, you also receive the best of modern comfort. We loved the interior design in the hallways, the contrasting gray and whites, and bold artistic choices...felt again both contemporary and original and highlighted the city and its artists. I really appreciate they honored my request for extra towels. I always request something to check the hospitality of a hotel. This hotel provides friendly correspondance and first class accomodations.
The limited view. I will save, or schedule better to ensure to get a true riverview room. We really needed the black out shades to be pulled also from some incredibly bright lights shining from the building. I think the hotel had already planned for this. However, in the morning, it was nice to open the one window, and get a view of the bridge and PNC park from bed! I "didn't like" that the Turkish Breakfast was closed down the street on a Wed. of all days, but that is more a disappointment, their perogative. I was really looking forward to that treat since it was so close, but luckily the hotel has a coffee bar in the lobby selling La Prima espresso and coffee drinks (from anyone out of town, that is one of our premier roasters from our market/ "Strip" district, and I would recommend their cappucino or espresso).
