There was construction in front of the hotel during our stay. The breakfast room flooded and the staff were able to provide breakfast in the lobby under difficult circumstances.

All in all decent, but not great.

The location is good. It has a nice underground parking for a reasonable price.

There are no dishes in the kitchen and some cabinets are locked. When you arrive late and tired you don't want to be calling the front desk to give you some dishes. They should be there along with the mugs and glasses. The breakfast could be better .

The hotel was quiet, clean, in an excellent location for walking to downtown, restaurants, bars and harbour spots. We had a park view balcony and had partial harbour views. The value for money was exceptional. Would highly recommend this mid range hotel.

Breakfast was excellent-loved all the gluten free options! The location is perfect. I did not use the pool, but others seemed to be enjoying it. The access to laundry was appreciated.

The kitchenette was disappointing. There were mugs, glasses, cutlery and cooking pans, but no dishes of any sort. We asked, and were given 2 plates to use. I am not sure how it was expected we could use the kitchenette to deal with food allergies/left overs/ snacks without any dishes. I am confused by this, but did appreciate being given the 2 plates.

Good location and great breakfast

Everything in the room was clean although the decor is dated. Carpet was ok clean and quite worn out already. Location was very close to all main attractions. The underground parking was very spacious. Really appreciated that there were guest laundry facilities for use at very reasonable costs. Breakfast was very good. Can see that the lady looking after the breakfast parlour gives it a lot of care and attention making sure the guests enjoy their breakfast time.

Kettle is not electric. No air conditioning and only a small fan was provided on the desk. Cleaning cost of $15 per stay doesn’t include cleaning the utensils during stay but only after checked out. The coffee machine in lobby was broken and there was no hot water provided in the lobby like other BW.

Bad and rude staff, 1970 hotel needs upgrading

To be honest it was a bad experience… nothing good.

A staff member at the front desk was far beyond rude. The other staff members were more on the phone than caring about us. The hotel feels like you in the 1970’s. We did not sit on our patio as it was dirty and paint pealing off. Breakfast was not worth eating.

Visiting Victoria is always a pleasure and this was a good place to stay.

The well equipped, comfortable room and the good breakfasts. The Inner Harbour location is also excellent. We were happy to park our rental car in the secure garage.

It was hot weather by Victoria standards and our room wasn’t air conditioned, but there was a fan, the room faced north, and we could open the windows at night, so we were never uncomfortably warm.

It was a good overall experience, however without air conditioning I’d look elsewhere if it’s going to be hot.

Location is amazing. The kitchenette was a definite bonus. Staff are amazing.

A pleasant hotel within walking distance to everything in the harbour area.

Breakfast had a good selection. Fans were supplied for our room which was on the first floor. Pool was nice enough.

Hot tub dated and too hot at 104 degrees. I couldn’t fully get in. For what the nightly rate was I think parking should have been included. It was $17 a night.

This is an established hotel that has been maintained and updated very well. It was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It was so nice to have a balcony too! There is clean, safe, underground parking for a small extra cost, which was a great convenience. The pool and hot tub were lovely, clean and fun. The location is wonderful. We walked around all over the tourist area and felt very safe doing so. If you are disturbed by noise, you might be sensitive to the sounds of the sea planes landing and taking off, but that ends by 9 or 10 pm. I would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was good, although some items were not replaced ie fruit , cereal toppings ,no decaf tea offered. Staff left us feeling pressures if we weren't finished by 9 45, that was uncomfortable
