A great location and good choice for a stay in Victoria

It was a fabulous location, great facilities, the food at the restaurant was great and the gym was small but handy!

I appreciate that it was a pet friendly hotel, however after sitting on the couch in our suite I realised I had dog hair all over my trousers, which I didn't like at all. I know it's hard to clean pet hair but I found it quite offputting.

A relaxing four day stay at the Oswego over New Year.

Good location. Great staff. Very comfortable suite. Lovely lobby, bar and restaurant area.

The only downside was that the refrigerator was a bit noisy in the room we were allocated but the staff were great and moved us to another room.

I would stay here again but request a lower floor and find a room with a bigger bed.

Location was great! Service from the front desk and housekeeping was good. We could park our overheight vehicle in the driveway to their underground parking.

The beds were small. Our room was on the 6th floor even though we have a dog and informed the hotel. It's a bit of a trip to bring the dog down for a walk. The cafe was understaffed and had to wait too long for service.

Comfortable 5 day stay with a few minor annoyances.

Location was excellent, in quiet residential neighbourhood but only a few blocks from downtown. Free parking was easily available on the street at this time of year. Suite was large and comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped. Everything was clean and new. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Checkin was annoying. Did not like being handed a small tablet computer and asked to type in all my info on a tiny onscreen keyboard. Impossible not to make mistakes and waste time. What's the point? They had all my info already and room was prepaid. Anything needed could have been written on a form in a few seconds, the tablet was very inefficient. Did not like the shower which was too small to turn around and I'm just average size. Knocked off the wall hung shampoo bottles with my elbows twice while trying to wash hair. The huge rain shower head made it impossible to get out from under the water as there was no room to move. I can't imagine a large person trying to use the shower.

We love the Oswego, we have probably stayed there half a dozen times.

Love the location. Breakfast was great, I really like having the restaurant open all week.

We think there should be a sign for the garage, we always miss it .The hair dryer was broken ( or I couldn’t get it to work). I think there should be a key card to use the elevator, anybody coudl get to any any floor, it is not really secure.

Loved the location; loved the restaurant; the particular room we got was very disappointing.

The location was excellent; the underground parking was helpful; the bed was comfortable; the two benches in the room were good for putting your suitcases on; the bathroom was a good size; the on-site restaurant was absolutely fabulous - we weren't intending on eating there but had both dinner and breakfast there. The setting was quiet and intimate, both meals were very delicious, the food was hot (a rarity!) and the service was over-the-top friendly. We would eat there again even if we weren't staying at the hotel.

We had many friends that recommended the hotel but I think we must have gotten the worst room in the hotel (#204). (No doubt there are better rooms in the hotel.) It was right over the underground entrance, it was hot and there's no A/C (likely none in the whole hotel), there was a ceiling fan with one speed, there was only one tiny window that was difficult to open so we couldn't get much fresh air, and it was October. I couldn't imagine it in the summer. The shower was a little dangerous - a full step up to get in and then out of the shower. While we agree with water conservation, if you are going to have a low-flow shower, please do NOT use a huge rain-shower head as the surface area is far too big for a small flow of water to go through. It wasn't a shower - it was a dribble. Thank goodness I didn't have to wash my hair as I would have never gotten the shampoo out - please CHANGE the shower head to a smaller unit so one might get a little pressure coming through. The towels were also rather thin - perhaps time for some new ones.

Okay stay, would not re-book

We enjoyed the location of the hotel, close to Breakwater restaurant and the Fishermans Wharf. Lovely area to walk around. Breakfast and coffee at the Aegir restaurant was good, we did not enjoy their happy hour food- very bland. The view from our room was beautiful with the fall foliage and we could see the large cruise ships docked along the water.

I had called prior to our stay to ensure they had a pack & play for our baby. She put a note on the file and upon getting to the hotel I asked again to be sure we would have one in our room on check in. We luckily got early check in (around 3) and had to call 4 times until someone from the desk picked up so I could ask again for the pack & play. When we received it... it looked as if it has been used for a decade and never been replaced or cleaned. Very disappointed. The lobby bathrooms also have no change tables so we had to change our babies blowout on a couch in the lobby (this was before check in). We were disappointed in the hotel because you pay so much and expected a lot more.

Awesome stay in Victoria

We really enjoyed our stay at The Oswego Hotel in Victoria with our pets. Although we had a small issue with our room at the beginning, the management went above and beyond to resolve it quickly and make sure we were comfortable. Their responsiveness made a big difference, and we appreciated the thoughtful service. The hotel’s welcoming atmosphere and pet-friendly approach made our time in Victoria even better.

Staff, Autumn reception fantastic. Location, bed in the bedroom bed. Lobby and restaurant.

The pull out sofa was too heavy to operate. The mattress on pull out was horrible and gave friend a back ache. The location got afternoon sun and, even with fans and portable ac unit the rooms were hot.
