We had a great stay at the Embassy. It is in a great location - just a 5 minute walk to the waterfront. Super quiet with lots of parking. The free breakfast was appreciated. No complaints.

The hotel's location is great and has breakfast but I would not recommend this hotel due to the following reasons:
1. There are many many choices and you could find five others in just this block.
2. The staffs are smiling (in professional way I would consider) but you don't really feel that they are considering for you.
3. They stand at the front desk but will not greet or actively ask if you have anything they can help unless you almost touch the desk.
4. I arrived there in the morning, so for sure I got my luggage stored and then walked out for wandering. After 4 hours wandering when I got back to the hotel at 2:30 PM, I asked if it is possible to check-in earlier (yes, as a frequent traveller I do know that there is a check-in time; but in many cases the room might be ready earlier so I asked, considering I have walked outside for 4 hours and I left home at 5 AM to catch the flights I really hope to be able). Okay, the answer is no (the room is still cleaning and not ready yet), not happy but I could accept. Oh, the staff doesn't interact with you anymore since she had "solved" the issue. Until I asked and then she told me that I can wait at the sofa. I think it is also making this hotel different from others. You know the customer's name and needs. You know which room the customer is waiting for. You know the customer is there. There are many things you can do for the customer. At least you could "actively" let the customer know that the room is ready for check-in, right? Again, no, no one seemed doing anything and I was also hesitate to ask again. So waiting for an hour, I reached to the front desk. Okay still no one bother to ask until I touch the desk while they can see my approaching, or they didn't?! I got check-in. So I wonder if it was just an excuse to not let me check-in earlier at 2:30. But as I say, there are many hotels in this area and many hotels I have experienced are thinking of their customers better and actively. So I won't recommend this one.
