Very average . In future would pay extra to stay at a more regarded local hotel .

Rather old . The room had a kind of odour on arrival. We opened two windows , and left a fan running for a couple of hours before returning . Considered moving - stayed due to location only . The so called dining facilities are nominal at best . The restaurant attached to their web site is not accurate . It is a “bistro” open from 8 till 3 On departure day, we arose early, packed the car and walked to another hotel to enable breakfast at 7 am - with a ferry to catch .

It was very restful especially for my husband who got sick while we’re staying with you.

Had breakfast in our room. Location is excellent as we only went to the legislature & the IMAX theatre. I especially liked the grab bar in the shower & a non slip mat in the bathtub. The bell hops were very helpful. Also the maintenance man was very good when our phone was not working.

Great location, comfortable stay

We were upgraded to the studio suite at no additional cost. Staff was friendly and the location can't be beat. Right in the heart of James Bay and only a short walk to the harbor, legislative building and the empress.

Wonderful place to stay!

I loved that it was so close to the waterfront, restaurants, and shops! It had a pool and sauna as well as a hot tub and was very comfortable.

The rooms were slightly dated but not in any capacity that would stop me from coming back!

Sunshine in the harbour

Great location, walking distance to harbour, restaurants, theatre, museum, and Beacon Hill Park, and walk a little further to open ocean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Quiet at night. We didn't try the restaurant in the same building, but apparently breakfast is excellent.

Goo standard of facilities but what really stands out was the location…no better in Victoria

Location was brilliant, in a quiet leafy street but just a few minutes walk to the harbour, parliament and central shopping area. Lots of restaurants nearby.

A little dated but well maintained. We had a suite (upgrade as the hotel was full) with a small kitchen but very limited tea and coffee and no fresh milk available. Restaurant not open for dinner. Couldn’t get breakfast as the queue was far too long.

The furniture in the living room was a bit dated (which we were expecting) but the suite smelled like residual cigarette smoke which could have been improved.

A fine choice and good value.

The location is close to everything. It’s in a quiet area located adjacent to the Parliament Building. Spacious rooms and very clean plus it has one of Victoria’s best breakfast spots on location and you won’t be disappointed. Make sure to dine at Floyd’s Diner.

The decor of the hotel is from decades ago and could use some updating. My suite was very warm and stuffy but there were lots of portable fans provided.

Old school luxury living near absolutely everything we wanted to see.

We had a suite on a lower floor at the end of the property which gave us easy entrance and exit away from the front entrance. It was a beautiful full size apartment that was nicely appointed. The furnishings and colors were traditional and very comfortable. We had a sliver of a view of the bay and the property was stunning. Absolutely gorgeous landscaping. The restaurant on site - Floyd's diner - does a great breakfast and worth the wait.

If it had been hotter, we would have been unhappy with no AC, but the fans in each room did the trick and we enjoyed every minute in the room.

Old hotel in need of some refreshing including the stale smelling carpets and old upholstery on the furnishings. We were upgraded to a suite which had a full kitchen- nice amount of space but put towels on the furniture before sitting down Bed was comfortable

I would stay at the Royal Scott Hotel again!

Nice room, conveniently located near the ferry dock and Inner Harbor. Nice large room, very comfortable very quiet. The service was great! We were able to check in early and leave our car in the parking lot until time for the ferry.

We didn’t have air conditioning but we had an oscillating fan.

50th anniversary trip - excellent choice.

Older hotel charm, location is perfect. We were upgraded to a suite with BR, LR, and kitchen. Very convenient parking.
