We really liked the staff, they were attentive and friendly. The location and restaurant downstair.

The staff and location were excellent. We appreciated being able to bring our dog.

The kitchen was tiny. We had to move the microwave in order to have a small counter to put dishes on. The pillows were bad but we always bring our own.

There was nothing not to like. Everyone made things as easy as possible. Even ensuring my walking routes were correct.

No impressed, long term customer

Open view was great! The bed was great. TV was horrible there was nothing but new stations to watch and the smart TV wont let you Bluetooth your phone to the TV just your music. Very frustrating!

Booked a ocean view originally was not given that but the hotel corrected it right away, however the the suite with the kitchenette i booked the first room was proper with a stove/over. However the second with the proper view was not and had a hot plate, no stove/oven. Not the biggest deal but the size difference of the rooms was a significant difference. Ocen view was much smaller then the original room I was given and when I booked online the prices had actually gone down the day I arrived even though I booked the day before by Apox $50 less per room. Very disappointing when that happens.

Great harborfront hotel with lovely views

Great hotel on the waterfront with reasonable prices and lovely views of the harbor. The room was spotless, the bathroom was pristine, the bed was very comfortable and the sheets were high quality. We had fun watching the action in the harbor as well as horse drawn carriages that would stroll by our window in the evening. We enjoyed the updated minimalist decor in the room with laminate flooring and beautiful photographs on the walls. The front desk staff member named Eshu went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. We were able to get early check-in and some chocolate, nuts and sparkling water to honor a birthday. Parking in their free lot was perfect. This hotel is well situated to have high tea at the Empress, shop, do whale watching or explore the waterfront trails. We loved it and highly recommend staying here!!

When we booked street view we didn’t realize that it was on the harbour side. We looked out at the exhaust fans and thus we could not have our window open. The room was very warm

Awesome location if you don’t mind uncomfortable beds and a not super clean bathroom.

Location was awesome, staff was friendly and quick to help when our breaker flipped and when we needed an umbrella to walk to a formal wedding at the Empress. Room was big, attached restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. We appreciated the 15% off coupon the hotel staff gave us for the restaurant.

Our bathroom was not clean. Someone else’s fingernail was on the counter when we got there, and the shower was so clogged with hair that after a minute or two of the water running, you were standing in a couple inches of water. My husband unclogged the drain with his hand and it was full of other people’s hair. So gross. The bed was not comfortable.

This facility really does not provide good value for your money.

The hotel is in a central location, walking distance to most attractions in Victoria.

There is no air conditioning in the hotel even though it was advertised to have A/C in rooms during booking. The rooms get very warm during summertime and the only solution is to either have the fan on or keep the windows open. Upon arrival, we noticed that the floor was sticky and likely not wiped for a while. We had to call reception to schedule a proper cleaning the next day. The worse part was our cards were deactivated the day before check out. Hotel staff mentioned that this was an error during check in, never received a proper apology for this mishap.

Great location close to everything including the Coho Ferry.

Staff was very friendly upon arrival. Parking is very tight, but there was one spot open. Hotel is within walking distance of nearly everything. Room was clean.

We were warned many times that there is no air conditioning, and we stayed during an unusually hot day. It was perfectly comfortable in the evening and at night, but around 10:30 a.m. it was getting uncomfortable in the room. We spent the rest of the day out and about.

THe location was perfect. We had a gorgeous view of the Harbor and were in walking distnance to practically everywhere. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful, the room was clean and looked like it had been painted recently. Even the bed was comfortable for me.

Nothing, really. If I had expected a luxurious hotel, I would have been disappointed. For example, the hallway carpet was worn, it's an older building. But I didn't expect luxury and I thought it was great.

Perfect location but needs updating SOON!

Location is excellent. Across from the ferry terminal and the harbor and walkable to most everything downtown. Also, there is free parking for guests and a swimming pool.

The property is very dated and rooms need a serious refresh and upgrade of electrical outlets to include working USB and C inputs. Also didn’t like the step up into a very tight bathroom…especially since we are seniors.

Convenient, but extremely overpriced for what it is

We liked a lot that it was very central.

There was no AC, we had to sleep with the windows open, which was ok temperature-wise but it was very loud from the street. Before checking in, they had suggested that we book a room on the residential side if we want it more quiet, but it was also loud, the parking lot is on that side and also another street, so it was noisy at night. The beds and pillows were for us very uncomfortable, pillows much too inflated so that we just woke up with neck and headaches. And least but not least, the price was extremely high for what we got, but it was probably because of the holiday weekend.
