Whitaker Lodge

First of all the hostess was very sweet! The accommodation really does justice to the concept of Bed & Breakfast, and the hostess gave it the personal touch that oughts to be part of that concept. The building, a large mansion, is beautifully furnished with thick carpets and a stylish staircase. The beds are among the most comfortable one can find. The bathroom was very spacious. The accommodation has parking on-site. And breakfast was lovely! Freshly made by the hostess.

There were a few inconveniences during my stay. During the evening, a dog was barking for quite a while in a kennel below my room. The bathroom was separate from the room, which is less convenient than an ensuite bathroom. The bathtub was out of use. And an excruciating fire alarm went of in my room at night, which makes for a funny story in hindsight. The hostess apologised for it, though she isn't really to blame for it. Those inconveniences are very much compensated for by all the positives of this accommodation.

Beautiful location and garden. A very good hospitality the best that you can expect from a b&b … Excellent healthy breakfast. A spacious bedroom comfortable, very clean and neat. Car park just in the front of b&b. We highly recommend the address everything was perfect...

Nothing, except may be the little size of the bathroom for the bedroom we booked.

Spotless, large, and comfortable room with a nice view of the horses in the pasture. Loved the story of how the place got its name! The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We arrived a bit early and she allowed us to check in, which was greatly appreciated. Liked the cozy breakfast room which allowed us to meet and talk with other travelers. Great breakfast, cooked to order.
