First impressions count.

A very convenient location.. Comfortable bed.

The check in process.. There was no reception so I went in the bar/restaurant and said to the only member of staff I could find after a few minutes "I've booked a room for this evening." . She said, "What's your name?". And went and handed me a key. There was no such thing as a welcome or a How are you ? Or "If you need anything let us know". Nothing. Not a good first impression. I also didn't like the fact there was a bath in the room but no plug so you couldn't actually use it. I know showers are more economical but having a. bath in the room that you couldn't actually use just seemed mean.

Ideal one night stay in South Sligo

Very nice stay as always in this accommodation. Plenty of parking. Good wifi. Thanks to the restaurant staff for accommodating me during busy dinner time. Right beside N17 and N4 roads so very accessible to Sligo town, Roscommon, Knock Airport and County Mayo

Pity that the breakfast doesn’t start till 08:00, it’s normally really good and I had to give it a miss on this occasion due to an early start.

It was quiet, comfortable, easy to find, and clean. I had dinner and breakfast in the downstairs restaurant: both were delicious and affordable. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I enjoyed my stay here.

Some aspects of my stay were very pleasant.

Meals, including breakfast were good, and staff service were also. Ear plugs were provided in the bedroom, but unfortunately didn't make a difference to the noise of the outside traffic.

I was told that the lift wasn't working. The lamp next to my bed was falling apart. The main problem was a location problem with very fast, loud traffic right outside the bedroom window. I found sleep impossible.

This is in a rural location. Great place. Wonderful food. Had dinner and breakfast. Friendly helpful staff. Stayed for 1 night. Bedoom perfect, tea making facility, well stocked. Bottled water supplied. The bedroom was clean and very comforted. Bathroom with shower over bath, very clean.

Owner and staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. I was leaving very early to do a walk so they facilitated me with an early breakfast and I was able to get two excellent sandwiches to take with me. Much appreciated.

Good price but still not worth the money

The noise from the busy road was unbearable…as were the parting group in the next room. There was no Aircon as advertised The food in the bar was edible but only just. Fish and Chips. I don’t like checking in to a hotel in a bar.

Not Returning

It was clean.

The room did not have air conditioning, despite it being listed under facilities. I searched the room thoroughly and couldn’t find a unit anywhere. The space was dark, with only a small window looking directly out onto roof fans — no view, no fresh air, and definitely no ventilation. Smell of food all the time. The lack of airflow made the stay uncomfortable, especially given how the room was advertised. Disappointing and misleading. Total RIP of price.

Didn’t get to stay there as they were apparently Overbooked and I was elected to be foisted out.

Beautiful Venue and stunning location

Fantastic traditional Irish Breakfast with both types of pudding! Very large comfortable bed, good powerful shower and spacious bedroom. Staff lovely. Great location in the North West of Ireland near Knock Airport.

There was a strange humming sound through the night that I couldn't work out where it was coming from, I don't think it was inside the room, it was a little distracting but I usually sleep with the TV on so drowned out that noise.

Recommended nice place for solo travel

It had one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in at a hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was clean and had a nice, but small, newer renovated bathroom.

The carpet was outdated and so thick you couldn't open the door without pushing hard on it. The key for the door was also hard to get and I had to mess with it each time I tried to unlock the door.

The hotel was conveniently located for accessing the surrounding area for work purposes. Both the evening meal and breakfast were of a high standard.

The evening meal service concluded at 7:30 p.m., which could present a challenge for guests working late hours. However, this may have been due to it being a Monday night. While the main course was of good quality, the dessert was substandard—partially stale and still in the process of defrosting. I returned the dessert, yet it remained on the bill at a charge of €7.00. Additionally, breakfast service begins at 8:00 a.m., which is notably late for guests with early business commitments.

Fabulous breakfast - great staff

Location is good - it is quite a way out of town and is a good place to travel from. Plenty of parking, staff are good and food is excellent

The noise level - I was in a front room opening out to the main road and it was very busy. Advice would be to request a room at the rear if you want quiet.

Great Value Accommodation

Single occupancy was very reasonably priced. I found my stay was great value for what I paid. Amenities were on par with a 4-star hotel. Despite some features being old, everything was spotlessly clean. Very friendly, helpful staff and delicious breakfast.

Noise from the road was very audible. However, I had ear plugs, so once I had those in, I had a peaceful sleep.

Excellent Choice on Sligo-Mayo-Roscommon Border

Lovely premises, very clean and tidy. Spacious rooms with powerful shower & lots of hot water. Food facilities were excellent, extensive evening meal and breakfast choices. Staff couldn't be more friendly or helpful. Popular dining location for local people. Ample free parking. Vehicle charging facilities. Good value B&B Rate.
