Absolutely fabulous. Home away from home.

So homely!! Warm, clean, comfy, great staff, great location. The lady who runs the place is an angel. She’s a lovely lady. She went out of her way to help us constantly. I would recommend this place 100%. I felt so at home the whole time, comfy beds too, nicely decorated. Great value too.

Everything was fantastic, only thing that may be a downside for someone else is no eating hot food upstairs, although me and my friend didn’t mind. We enjoyed eating in the dining room, no issues. No complaints at all.

Beautiful house stay in Sligo!

Lovely house overlooking the mouth of the Garavogue. Celene was a lovely host who couldn’t have been more accommodating! Was only here briefly but gave me lots of local knowledge and guidance. Room was ace, lovely view at night overlooking Sligo town. Great value for money.

Ruined Trip

The owner was rude since she opened the doors. She said why do you call the bell four times?? Why don't you open doors if we let you know the time we arrive?? The owner has taken €30 deposit and after that we said we are dreaming about Chinese Take away, she said we can't have it in the house and that is listed on her house rules but that is not said on the BOOKINGS.COM and she said she won't give deposit back if we'll not follow the rules. Also no shower allowed after 11pm, that wasn't said either. We wanted to leave because we would never have booked this place if we knew that, but sure the greedy owner wants money and keeps people like in prison so she said she will not issue a refund. Bookings.com also did not bother to check why the property conditions do not match, they should sort that out, the owner told us all this is on their website but when I asked her to show that on my phone she refused, so very disappointed about booking.com too!!The worst experience we ever had, ruined our mood & day. Please avoid!!

The location was fine and not too far away from the city center. Quiet area.

This seemed like a money machine. We were not introduced the to the outer area or saw any sitting area as shown on the photos. The room was very small and it was impossible to have two suitcases in the room. Further, there were 6+ rooms to share the same bathroom and toilet. This made a lot of noise and the bath was soaking wet these times we had to visit it.

Very limited tea bags, milk & coffee. No lounge area. No use of any kitchen facilities or dining table to eat even a takeaway meal & we were not permitted to eat in the room.

There was absolutely nothing to like about my terrible experience in dealing with this place. My experience was really beyond horrific

Unfortunately due to travel delays I arrived at property at 820pm. I had contacted host earlier to let her know I was delayed & apologized that I would not be able to make it by 8pm but would be there by 830 the latest. Host replied stating there would be nobody there to let me in which was really distressing as I had traveled from abroad and did not know anyone in Sligo. She told me basically it wasn't her problem & to contact Booking.com for a refund. When I did this they stated Celene the host would have to agree to this but she refused to consent & told booking Com that she had to keep my money to pay for hospital bills. She was extremely rude disrespectful and unhelpful when I tried to call her and told me to stop calling her & that she was going to block me. I really only wanted to get in to sleep in the bed she had charged me for. When she refused to leave a key or even for me to collect a key anywhere both mysey& booking. Com requested her to issue a refund to try and pay for alternate accommodation but she refused both of us. She had made no attempt to call me to let me know she was leaving the house & that there would be nibody there to let me in until I called her. This was the worst experience ever & I really feel obliged to warn people not to go there unless they are sure & certain there will be no traffic delays etc as you will not be allowed in and they will keep your money & no flexibility whatsoever given & quite unfair in my opinion t to keep money when service was not provided & I had to pay for alternate accommodation

wrong sleeping arrangements

my Booking was for 3 Men in a standard twin and a standard double, when we arrived we were told we had a single and a double, we explained the situation and our hosts supplied a camp bed in the single room, not what was expected nor booked.

We didn’t like anything. These two nights were spent in great discomfort.

I was not satisfied with my stay. The shower in our room was not working, and we were not allowed to take a shower. There was no way to heat food, no spoons, and no kitchen. They took a €40 deposit from me and promised to refund it at checkout, but I never received it back. Also, there was only one toilet for five rooms, which was very inconvenient.

Travelers should be allowed to take a shower. There should be a way to heat food. The hotel owner should not be unfair or treat guests poorly.

Perfect!

We had such a great experience! Celene was absolutely wonderful to us, making sure that we had everything we needed. The room's location was great, the bed was so comfortable that having to wake up in the morning was a shame, and the water pressure of the shower was absolutely perfect. Celene advised us on some places to visit around Sligo and some places to eat or get a drink, which made our experience even better! I will definitely be coming back.

I like both husband and wife tactics as they using for the scam with the customer. First I paid 70€ for the booking and after that They taken the 30€ deposit in the name of damage as they will return back at the time of checkout and after full payment booking and before 24 hours arrival of customer they send the message to the customer after all the paid booking regarding deposit. These scammers doing like this, not allowed anyone to take shower or bath after 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM. If you want to pee so you have to control yourself till morning and if you want to use toilet in this time so they will come to you when you use the toilet and will say you, you are violating the policy of the house in the name of noise as never mentioned before booking or by direct message. They are specially coming to your room and listen your voices, what are you talking with your wife from the outside the door. Might be they are filming as well but I leave this place in the midnight due to these scamming problem and I booked Riverside Hotel and left this place

Nice accommodation, pity about the lack of breakfast.

The owners offered to drive my wife to the funeral.

There wasn't any breakfast. I booked this "Bed & Breakfast" on behalf of my wife who was attending a funeral nearby. When she arrived at the house she enquired as to breakfast times only to be told that "there is no breakfast with this booking". When she explained that she was attending a funeral and would need something to eat before she left she was told "Well I could make you some tea and toast but it would be after 9.00am. When I was told about the breakfast no show I checked the booking and in the FAQ there was a question about breakfast and it stated that "breakfast is served between 8.30 and 10.00am". I had to delve much further into the "information" to find the "there is no breakfast served with this booking" announcement. However, my wife tells me that the owners were very nice and helpful and offered to drive her to the funeral which was much appreciated. It is such a pity that the experience was spoiled by the lack of breakfast, it is after all advertised as a "Bed & Breakfast".

Everything was more than fine. Recommend this accommodation to anyone. Would use again!! i arrived after a 76 mile gruelling cycle from Louisburgh totally drenched and it was so nice to see a friendly face. Was made to feel home right away. My bike was stored safely away. HOME FROM HOME!. Thanks!

The room was a child's room, way too small for two adults. The beds were single beds and too small for a grown man. Sharing a bathroom wasn't ideal, but it was clean.

We barely slept and left as soon as we could in the morning.

The mattresses were comfortable. The temperature was easy enough to adjust.

The host’s social skills are lacking. He was kindly responsive to direct requests and questions, but his body language and the written communication of rules landed as incredibly unwelcoming. The linens were over-fragranced, the bedside space was so small that my cousin and I both accidentally knocked things off in the middle of the night making a huge racket. The walls are thin so I heard the details of other guests’ bathroom visits in much more detail than I needed.

The hosts, Celine and Charles were lovely and very welcoming. The breakfast was very varied and generous. We loved the new covered outdoor seating area in the back yard. Handy location for Sligo town, and really great value for money. Home from home feel to the place. Thanks to Celine and Charles.
