I love staying at the Clayton in Sligo, the staff are lovely and the rooms are always clean and comfortable.
Nothing it was perfect.

Breakfast was ok, we all left happy enough! Fried Eggs to order thankfully, not pre cooked in the heaters.
Rooms were clean & staff were all so so lovely! Kids loved the swimming pool… all be it a little cold!
The rooms were really dark, the lighting in every room was terrible. We stayed in a 2 bedroom family suite.
The kids tent we paid for was a bit thrown together.. not like the picture online! Wasn’t worth the money (kids still loved it, don’t get me wrong!)
The undercounter light in the kitchenette didn’t work!

There was three people in the room but it did not feel stuffy or cramped. A lovely room.
Everyone loved the coffee and dinner was delicious. I would call in if passing through just for the coffee and the food. Hotel needs to have more prominent signage for traffic heading south. I’ll be back soon.

Nice clean hotel, good facilities and very 'green minded'. Staff were wonderful.
Tiny front door and damp porch.

Beautiful building and grounds. Good choice at breakfast. With friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable room. Good location. Clean.
Not the best hospitality. It was a birthday celebration and prior to visiting this was explained. Nothing in room on arrival which was a little disappointing. A card or some small token would have been appreciated.
The meal in the restaurant was not the best. Small portions, not the best quality for the price and our food was lukewarm. This was relayed to the waiter, who was very apologetic. Although not his fault. The lighting in the room and bathroom was not great. No ceiling light in room. I expected more for the price we paid.

Nothing
The main door is push/pull which is difficulty when your carrying bags. The reception area layout, the desks are too small. There should be at least 3 staff on reception, i couldnt get checked in due to a flock of foreign tourists. The room I was allocated seemed to be the back and beyonds, a mile of a distance and the lifts dont take to you the right area.I booked a table for the restaurant but got a mini table in the bar. The service was so slow and they didnt care less, the waiter never came back to take our dessert orders until we had to eventually shout her. The tables are too close together also. The hotel lacks ambiance. There is so much better places to stay than here and its over priced for what it is.

Staff were fantastic throughout the hotel.
Great family friendly hotel with great family rooms.
Only a few small things, for example adding pasta to the kids menu and letting people know of special events like inflatibles in the pool.
We arrived to an over-crowded pool to be told only those whp had prebooked the inflatibles could get on - would be great to have known!

Clean, spacious family room. Access to the pool facilities. Excellent breakfast - and friendly and helpful staff. Have to especially mention Michael and Timothy who went above and beyond to assist with a transport crisis! Mìle taing dhuibh air fad!

The rooms were lovely, maybe too warm. My second room was upgraded to a suite with views over the front and was lovely. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were ALL very polite and helpful. We had dinner in the bar, watching the football, great and a walk around the grounds before bed was a nice bonus. Dis I say the pool was excellent.
there was nothing I didn't like.
I would suggest that the bathing caps are provided free because I never take money to the pool and it can be a little embarrassing.

Very clean and spacious , reception desk very helpful and polite
Although it had everything the sauna and steam room were not great more heat coming from the radiator in the bedroom

The staff were very helpful and friendly ,
We were not told that breakfast on Monday morning finished at 9 45 , a ridiculous time for any hotel to finish serving breakfast.

Staff were very nice
Only one restaurant open, bar type menu only, not much choice. Pillows too small for large bed and not puffy, both styles been reused to much. Can’t control the heating in the rooms.

Sam the bar tender was the only person who engaged with us, every one else was too busy in their own worlds, two of them too busy on their phones!
The Club Vitae was surprisingly poor condition, locker doors hanging off, missing, cracked tiles, missing tiles, the sauna and the steam room struggling to heat

The staff were very professional and courteous
Room was hot no air conditioning just a fan. Restaurant food for dinner was average in quality. Breakfast food was very good but all self service. Expensive daily rate and expected better.

Good Location, 5 minutes drive from Sligo town. Set on nice grounds. Perfect for family with kids.
Little dated here and there. Spa/ pool area in need of a revamp. No music/ entertainment at night.

Spacious rooms, pool, minigolf, parking
Pillows hard
No A/C - room was too hot we were sleeping in sweat. Not comfortable sleep.
Food in restaurant not as good as in Clayton Cork.

The rooms are very large, nice and clean.
Good amenities and very nice staff.
The hallways to the rooms are very very basic.
Breakfast and Dinner was not up to standards. The chips were not nice and crispy but soggy and during the breakfast the "fresh fruit" tasted like vinegar.

Beautiful hotel with very spacious rooms. Access to swimming pool facilities, gym etc. All very clean. Lovely breakfast too.
The steam room and sauna could have been hotter! And having to wear swim hats!

The room was excellent for a family. We had our grandchildren with us and the swimming pool was lovely. Breakfast was very well set out, fresh food brought from the kitchen constantly. Dinner was lovely, and although pasta was not on the menu the chef prepared some totally plain when we requested it for our granddaughter. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay.
Nothing to complain about.
3.0 / 10.0
Family room split into two rooms, that was nice.
Staff were a little snappy with us when we arrived (arriving too early!). Check-in at 4pm, Out by 11am feels a little rushed for the price we paid. Also, I left some clothing in the room, but they said I left nothing, which means they have a cleaning team which throws clothing away instead of 'lost property'. Swimming pool Sauna was 'broken' but we still have to pay for Swim Hats. Gym classes are for members only, not guests. Mostly we were made to feel like we were 'in the way'. Went here after several hotels along the Galway coast (Wild Atlantic Way) for a birthday treat, wish I had avoided it altogether. Overpriced and underwhelming.
