That they cancelled my stay on the exact time of arrival. That they had not been clear about extra cost to be paid before my stay communicated via email instead of the booking.com app. Hence I missed it.

Absolutely revolting stay, disgusting rooms I would never stay in again even if I was paid.

It was close enough to the city centre.

It was absolutely revolting inside. The room had very clearly not been cleaned in a VERY long time; there was food all over the floor trodden into the already dirty carpet, plenty of dirt and sick stains on the carpet, the bedsheets had been used and were stained with rips in, the walls were stained and ripped, there was chewed gum left on the bed. It was disgusting, I will never stay there again and would extremely recommend no one ever does. Am trying to get a refund as it wasn’t at all what was advertised.

Nice, quite, pleasant. Had the heating on quite a bit so was always nice & warm. All easy to get on

The size of the rooms were very nice and big, the other 7 tenants treated you with respect and were very nice:) clean facilities apart from the bathrooms. Was good to be able to use the Kitchen, Dining room and all cutlery. My bedroom was lovely and big, clean.

The hot water was quite hot when washing and one night someone had tumble dryer on at early hours of the morning which you could hear a bit. Not to bad, but still a slight noise which can be disturbing if can't sleep. The bathrooms could have done with a bit of a clean prior to my arrival but was still quite a good price.

The most heartbreaking for me cause I suffered that night to get there and i couldn’t get a room to stay and my £114.75

The agent on this property is a scammer he scammed me of £114.75 and he’s yet to pay back my money and I have not stayed in the property because it’s the most horrific property I’ve ever set my legs into, in fact the agent on that property needs to be arrested, I strongly advise no one should make a mistake trying to book a stay in this place, I didn’t stay there stay for 10 minutes because I gain access into the building but no room for me to stay and the room 2 he said was supposed to be the room I will stay someone was living in the room not a guest but someone actual staying bedroom.

If you can handle a bit of grime it's a cheap and easy stay

It's basically a university house but you can rent a room , if you've been to uni you know what to expect about the whole house but the room itself was clean and place was quiet.

The toilet and shower/kitchen downstairs were gross but usable, I also had to lock all the window and back doors as they were just open and unlocked at 23:30pm when I arrived you can just walk around the back fron the front and walk in !!!!, NO TOILET PAPER SUPPLIED

Location of the building site

Terrible attitude and the fact that it was over booked ao had to walk across a city I don't know with 20kg luggage. Oh given a keycode to room unknown so I tried on many two discover a place I expected to relax in to find two ladies in bed cuddling. That was pretty unexpected by all I am sure.

There was a caution sign in front of my room door. Part of the ceiling had come down, wallpaper was hanging of the wall, there dirty washing on the floor. And a guy wondering around in his underpants. The houses next door were boarded it, with rubbish outside. It was an absolute disaster. And should not be on booking.com as a place to stay. It was a health and safety hazard

The owner was polite on the phone but has not followed up on the refund as promised. We did not stay there in the end because it was unsafe and the police advised us not to stay there or any other property offered by the host.

This review applies to an attempted stay in early July. I strongly advise against booking this property. Anyone from booking.com interested in addressing this? We arrived to a bunch of other guests unable to check in and confused about the circumstances. The key was missing and the lock box wide open. A person staying there said strangers had been coming into her room at night. There was a swimming pool out back that random people were collecting water from. There were all sorts of people coming and going from the property. It appeared to be under renovation but derelict at the same time (the photos on here are wildly out of date). One of the other guests was an off-duty police officer who was concerned and called the police, who attended and spoke to the person who said people were coming in her room. In the end, the on-duty police officer advised all of the guests standing around that we should not stay there and should not accept alternatives offered by the host. We were unable to find a reasonably-priced alternative at such short notice. What I am most unhappy about though is that I have spoken to both the owner (on the day of our stay) and booking.com - the owner said they would process a refund (they haven’t) and booking.com said they would contact the owner to confirm that we didn’t stay there, but on both occasions I have heard nothing back. The booking.com people I spoke to were lovely and polite, but zero follow up except a request for a service rating. This has been going on for almost three weeks now. I had left off leaving a review until this was resolved, but as it seems to be getting no where and this may be the only way to get anyone’s attention so I can get my £127 back. The fact that my partner and I didn’t stay there has nothing to do with us, and everything to do with an inadequate, unsafe property that shouldn’t be listed here.

Would not book here again

Booked for night was sent confirmation to then be rang by the staff to change the location of our stay, got to address of property and couldn’t enter as the code was wrong, rang the owners over 15 times and sent multiple messages with no reply, was outside property for over an hour with no reply so proceeded to head home as didn’t want to be stranded in Cardiff, when i finally got home after driving another 40 mins I had a text off the owner with all the details, i was left outside an address for over an hour and half and then 40 mins travelling home before I had a reply, was told over the phone would have a full refund and then the next day couldn’t get a reply off owner again, contacted booking.com and when they spoke to owner they had no recall of what they was talking about, after a bit of back and forth we was told the refund could take 5-7 days which I am still in the process of waiting for

The building alongside it had no windows, smashed in front door, looked like a crack den! Terrible location, hard to find and ZERO nearby parking. When contacting the owner to discuss nearby parking he told me to “google it” Our room wouldn’t lock and they told us to move to the next room but to take the bedding with us, so we had to make our own bed and the new bed was visibly dirty. No door on the bathroom, no privacy, terribly dangerous winding staircase to the room too. Due to the changeover, the lack of help with parking and lack of signal at the property I missed my event, so I’m £300+ out of pocket Complete ignorance from the business when contacted about the issues.

Student house that’s run down. Fine if you’re just looking to pass out after a night in Cardiff.

Was cheap for the oasis gig as everything else was extremely expensive in comparison.

It’s a student house. If you’ve been a student you’ll know what to expect. Dingy and run down. It’s fine if you’re there on your own and just using it to pass out in after a night out in Cardiff, but that’s it. One point they need to sort out are all the broken windows. Several of our rooms we rented had sheet insulation held in place with sticky tape over broke windows which fell out overnight. It was relatively clean for a student digs and was fine for passing out in at the end of the gig, but I’d never go back.

Hallway stank of wee, shared bathroom which wasn’t included not described, bedroom did not lock so had to use furniture to barricade the door instead. Bed was covered in mold and the window in the room was smashed. There’s one key to enter the building so if someone takes it then no one can enter the building. Would actively discourage you from booking this property.

Good price for a great location

The location is great for after a gig around the castle. The price is good too. Also the guy was very friendly, I arrived around midnight and he was awake waiting for my arrival.

For me, it was great for the price and I've got nothing to complain, but if you are into complaining, then you're likely to find things to complain about as it's not a 5 star hotel.

It's cheap for a reason

It was easy to get into the property, front door and bedroom doors were locked and a code was sent to my phone before I checked in

The size of the room, it was advertised as a double but it was actually a pokey single and there was mould growing in the cupboard

This accommodation is not fit for purpose, if it was clean and time spent to update it has got potential. We was very unhappy clean at all, the bathroom is shared facilitate. The curtains was falling off, the bed was awful every time you rolled over felt like it would collapse. We had ants in the room TV not working. All bedding was in the communal kitchen unfolded and all over the place very untidy. One guest had a broken window and only had instalation covering. Holes in the bathroom door shared access with a key code someone was ringing door bell in the night kept me and daughter awake with load door banging. I have sent communication to booking.com as I want a refund especially being £280 for 2 very uncomfortable nights. We stayed out during the day it was really that bad

Location was good.

Cheaper than a hotel but still expensive for what was offered. One star for location but none for facilities or quality of experience. OK in an emergency but best avoided if possible.

Pleasantly surprised

Very spacious room, easy access, close to city centre, cheap. Having read the previous reviews and having stayed in properties owned by the same people before, which were pretty dire, I was a bit worried about what I might find, but was pleasantly surprised. The room was quite nice, clean, there were curtains on the windows (stayed in one before where there were no curtains or blinds!) bed was comfortable, clean towels provided, adequate plug sockets for charging phone etc.

No kettle or TV in room, though there is a kitchen so not really a problem. Small toilet/shower room behind kitchen with no lock 🔐 n the door. There may have been another bathroom upstairs but I didn’t go exploring as my room was downstairs

All of it. We turned up looked and left. We didn’t stay. The street was filthy and trashed. The houses next door had broken glass in the front doors. The house was dirty, smelly and unpleasant. I would not let my worst enemy stay here. I now know why they don’t show you pictures of inside. I left so fast I didn’t take any.

Nous avions réservés 2 chambres. Nous avons eu la bonne surprise de découvrir 2 personnes dans l'une des chambres. Mes amis ont donc du dormir par terre dans l'autre chambre. C'est inadmissible ! Et aucun retour de la par de l'établissement ni de booking alors que j'ai fait des demandes de réclamation...

Scandaleux

- Toilette du rez-de-chaussée cassé lors de l'arrivée - la douche du rez de chaussée avait une pression très faible, et passait du froid au brûlant très rapidement. - 1 seul clé de la porte d'entrée pour 8 chambres, si un seul oubli de remettre la clé, il faut attendre devant bêtement. (D'ailleurs la serrure à été cassée lors de notre deuxième jour. - un de nos sommier était cassé. Nous avons était inviter à visiter la chambre d'un autre touriste, les meubles de sa chambre tenait à peine debout. Ma lampe de chevet clignotait (donc inutilisable) Pour finir parlons du prix : 1200€ pour 2 nuits pour 2 chambres... C'est une honte (encore plus après avoir vu la réalité de "l'établissement") A fuir !
