My room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were lovely . The food was exceptional.

A late check out change from 11 to noon would be an extra 25Gbp . Excessive in my opinion as it was 80 for the stay including breakfast.

Lovely country hotel with easy access to centre of Cardiff

I chose the hotel as it offered a very favourable rate for a single room. With breakfast and, although it was some distance from the centre of Cardiff it was very close to bus route. The bus travel worked very well and cost just £2.50 each way and the hotel really exceeded my expectations. Lovely setting, well maintained, clean, well appointed room and a hearty breakfast in a lively dining room overlooking the gardens. Very pleasant staff also.

No complaints, except perhaps that another, or thicker, pillow would have been nice. However, I'm sure I could have had this if I'd asked.

Perfect for a city break without the city

The hotel was exactly as expected and met or exceeded expectations! The room was a good size and the balcony (though shared) was effectively private as no-one was in the adjoining room and it had a distant view of Cardiff itself. The WiFi was also stable and had a good signal. Breakfast was excellent offering cereals, toast or cooked options depending on preference.

Our room was very clean add spotless. We stayed in room 1 this time and I much preferred it, to the last room we stayed in. The last room we stayed in which I think was room 3, was far too dark, especially when you’re trying to do your hair and make up and a bit on the cold side. Room 1 for us was exactly what we wanted.

Very clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar area could do with brightening up a bit as it felt very dark, a bit dingy.
