Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was large and clean. Nice bathroom with shower and bath..Tea and coffee facilities. Great view from my window overlooking nicely manicured gardens and fields with sheep. Lit fires, cosy lounge areas. Breakfast was plentiful. Service great. Room service was good too..

TV services were a bit basic, only Freeview but not all channels available. TV could be bigger. Small thing, but no shower cap in the room..I didn't ask reception but possibly they had them there. Tiny niggles really ..I would definitely stay again..overall it was a fab hotel.

Perfect setting , overlooking Cardiff and Bay . It has a homely feel and the staff are excellent .

Views were stunning over Cardiff, and the decorations were devine.

The fact that despite it was over the Christmas period, the staff were still charming, polite and concerned for your well being even though they were away from their own families on this occassion.

a little alarmed to sit down at breakfast on Christmas Day morning and at the table next to us, was a couple with their dog sat up at the table feeding him food from a plate!

Just a super lovely place

Rooms are over sized, this great views, this is a pet friendly and hence sociable hotel, very convenient for Cardiff and local site seeing. Breakfast was excellent (quality of sausages etc. options). We had lunch that was outstanding, a bit more of a dinner menu than a lunch and much better than it was described (menu looked traditional not so descriptive) excellent food. Great parking, staff very friendly, flexible for early check in - well run and lovely hotel

An Absolute Gem on the Outskirts of Cardiff

The breakfast buffet was excellent and the whole atmosphere at the hotel was beautiful

The bar was really busy after there was a funeral tea so it would have been good to have help with the bartender Also the dining room off the bar area should have had the lights dimmed for the overflow of people for the ambience Poor bartender was on his own and couldn’t deal with any details

Great staff and great hotel. I would definitely return when next in the area.

I chose the hotel initially as it had 4 EV charging points. Unfortunately they were mainly taken up with non EV cars parked in the bays so took some time to access.

Overall lovely stay in the presidential room

Presidential room decor, bathroom and view were gorgeous. The person on reception upon check in understood that our original room was not satisfactory, and provided an alternative which was the perfect resolution after a long drive from London and to feel rested for a conference where I was speaking at the next day.

We were initially given a room on the ground floor which was cold, unwelcoming, old carpets that smelt, terrible bathroom, and we could hear the room next to us urinate when they were in the toilet, which on a whole was horrifying, leaving the room much to be desired.

We stayed in the bridal suite and it was fantastic, the staff were amazing, very accommodating. We had the perfect room for us all to get ready before my wedding, plenty of room and the getting ready room was fab!
