Check-in was easy enough when they eventually found my booking. Room was small but adequate. Bathroom was tiny but everything was clean and will presented. Good hearing system and the shutters were great for blacking out light. The area was generally pretty quiet apart from a couple of brew crew members who sat nearby at times, but presented no trouble. Proximity to Gambetta station is amazing; a mere 30 steps or so away from the hotel. Staff were pleasant, very amenable and humoured our Franglais, although I have to say it quite often just slipped into English.

We arrived in the evening a lot of migrants around the hotel and a lot of graffiti on buildings. We went out for a meal but not a lot of choice. Hotel very basic but clean and safe. Next morning totally different still migrants around but a lot of locals going to work and school large Market nearby and Metro next to hotel which was very easy to use hotel car park under ground and Staff were excellent

The staff were great and the hotel was good. The parking is in a secure underground location but access to it is very limited if like us, your vehicle has low ground clearance - I now need a new front lower valance. Also the little square outside seems to be frequented by local undesirables - we were greeted by them having a fight which included throwing bottles at each other as well as fists. Although not strictly the hotels fault or responsibility but cctv or other security measures may help.

The hotel was ok. small room with small shower. No soap in the shower. No kettle and tea provided. The cleanliness was ok and staff at the counter was helpful. Outside the hotel was very dirty and smelly. Something the management should work on.

Would definitely stay again.

Awful location, tiny rooms (shower so small that it was very hard to wash one’s feet!), some of staff not helpful / friendly, on-street parking very hard. But it was pretty cheap. Best avoid the breakfast too.

The hotel is convenient for most of Lille. Right outside is a city bike hire station and a Metro station is just to the left of the entrance. You find that a 20-40 minute walk will bring you to all you may wish to see or visit. It isn't located in the most salubrious part of Lille, though I didn't feel perturbed or threatend when returning quite late in the evening. All in all a good base for a stay in a vibrant city. Is a two star rated hotel so basic in general, but comfortable. The shower cubicles are on the small size but more than adequate. The extra you pay for the buffet breakfast is a good start to the day and has a varied selection of choices.

Plastic glasses crack/break when you remove plastic covering. No fridge, no safe, no ice bucket. No electrical outlet in otherwise nice bathroom. You have to ask for a hair dryer at front desk. I bought a plastic bowl and sturdy inexpensive glass at supermarket, as I was there for several days. Staff was great about getting me ice from the kitchen for my bowl, as there is no ice machine for guests. The hotel was fine basic accommodations if you get it at a good price. Just bring stuff you might otherwise expect to find in other spots.

Ok here is my review: Staff: 5 Room: 3 Breakfast: 3 Sleeping:1- It has been a while since I had such bad night- Firsly hunted by mosquitoes (they need to do something about it) and the noise made by workers on the underground station, which was under my window. It lasted up to 4am!! Workers shouting and it seemed the windows are not double glazed. Would I recommend it? Yes for the price and location ( very lively area- nice restaurant and bars near the hotel) but this is not a hotel for someone in need of peace and quiet.
