Good location, good breakfast, okay room

Good central location and good offering at breakfast (mix of sweet and savoury, teas, fruit etc). Jugs for filtered water available to take up to the rooms.

Room layout strange with bathroom separate from toilet. Shame to only have single-use cups available in the room, would have preferred real ceramic mugs.

The hotel was beautiful. Room was spacious and had everything I needed. Breakfast was great with lots of choices.

The shower is pretty old fashioned but did the job. The vents were filthy which wasn’t a good look.

The overall location is Great.

The door and the room is not sound proof. Plenty of noise from other guests and staff since we were staying at level 1 and they had a staff area there. Constant opening and closing of doors in the hallway didn’t allow for a comfortable sleep.

A good hotel, beds were comfortable, breakfast good and service was excellent and efficient.

Room lacked some comforts - it was a disabled room - big but seemed rather empty, no sofa or small table etc. It was rather bare.

Rather bare room, could have had more in there, better decor and furniture.

We stayed there for about 20 minutes and decided to leave

the staff were extremely friendly and provided clear, helpful explanations.

The apartments appeared older than depicted in the photos, and the interiors felt quite basic and inexpensive. The carpet in our room was noticeably dirty, contributing to an overall sense that the cleanliness was not up to standard. We didn’t feel comfortable staying even for an hour. The low ceiling height—seemingly under two meters—added to a somewhat claustrophobic atmosphere.

They charged me double. I paid already thru booking.com. and good I noticed they charged again my card.. Phew. I told them, of course they refunded.I warned the exchange rate but they ignored. (I used not france credit card) So basically just sorry from them, but I lost in currency exchange because of their mistake..

Lille stay

Location was good. Staff helpful at front desk.

Parking was OK but if have alot to carry not ideal as you need to park the car in an open parking lot and walk a good 10min. Was a struggle for us Room drainage had a issue as the eater was not going down the sink or the shower. Called and reported to front desk. Receptionist came up to see said he would call maintenance people to come have a look however that never happened till we checked out. Which was disappointing as we had to have a shower in clogged shower where water was standing which I felt was Grose. I was advised that vegan options are available for breakfast. They had milk. Bread. Fruit and tomatoes. @18.50 EUR a head I think NOT. This is not vegan breakfast and should be advertised as such which the hotel staff did. Upon discussing with kitchen chef and hotel manager they refunded my money when I asked would they pay that amount fpr what was on offer.

Great stay, exceptional staff, awesome location, perfectly clean and quiet!

The room was perfect in size and appointments. Room service was exceptional: a kitchen staff came back after serving my meal to bring back my dessert, ice cream. They wanted to make sure it would not be melted by the time I finished my meal. Location is superb: right in the hyper-center of Lille.

For a 4 star hotel i found these items missing: The TV remote did not work well. Netflix was not on the Hotel Channels! There was not a welcome kit with creams, shower cap etc.... I had not brought my personal body cream or shower cap and I found that lacking.

Hotel in good location but communication on this stay was a let down..

Unfortunately there were major renovations being carried out at the hotel. We were not told of these on booking, so main entrance closed at times and reception and downstairs where breakfast was served, not very welcoming . Rooms, once you got through the building works, were as advertised and fine. Would have liked to have been informed, and been able to make a choice on staying here during these works being carried out.

The location was great. Lille is not a big city but the Novotel is conveniently located very close to the old city. The place was undergoing refurbishment of the hall which I was alerted at the time of the booking so there was some disruption but the staff was very helpful and the room very comfortable at a very good price

Facilities work in progress - No information given about this prior to booking. Pictures on Booking.com not reflecting at all this hotel, perhaps another Novotel (Gare). Restaurant very low level (cold food - Waitress coughing a lot with mask, poor facility, not even toilets).
