Fabulous!

It was fab! Beautiful hotel, great staff, fantastic location. Lovely suite.

Only negative thing, Suite 25, La Voix, fabulous, but the lighting needs adjusting. Lights are very brght spot lights, but generally a bit dark. Needs a couple of free standing lights upstairs. But id still stay there again!

Far from Relais Chateaux level

The staff was super professional, kind and helpful. When we asked to change our room, the receptionist kindly went out of her way to show us several. Location is great.

This hotel is part of the Relais Chateaux collection. It is expensive. However, the so-called comfort rooms are definitely not comfortable. Ours was perched on the top floor of a “dependance”, and to access it one had to take a small elevator just next to a public toilet, go to the second floor, then climb a steep stair with very narrow steps. The room was okay, but with very low ceilings - a disappointment, having spent over 300 euros a night. Unfortunately, the other rooms shown to us by the very kind receptionist were not better - a possible sign the the entire “comfort” category is overpriced and definitely not up to Relais Chateaux standards. Also, I asked for porridge for breakfast and got it - however, it was done in a microwave and as a result had the texture of a rubbery lump, again something surprising for a hotel at that level.

French elegance, with a modern twist in a wonderful location

I thought the property was just delightful, very palatial and even though my friend had a much larger room which was slightly more expensive I was very happy with my smaller very cozy room. The breakfast was very nice and the location superb.

There wasn’t much I didn’t like about it, I thought the lighting arrangements were slightly old in the bedroom and bathroom and nobody told me I could turn off the light above the sink via a hidden switch. Also the waiter who operated the breakfast service could certainly have done with a smile. He was a little surly and this was more obvious considering all the other staff were absolutely lovely and delightful. Otherwise, very lovely hotel.

Fell well short of a 5 star experience

Beautiful courtyard and great location Good welcome on arrival

The restaurant was closed and this seemed to impact on all services for food and drink. Repeatedly had to ask for fresh tea and milk for the room and elsewhere in hotel it felt as if everything was too much trouble. Was also the first time we had ever been promoted for a gratuity on the total room bill.

Perfect location and a beautiful hotel.

Great location - so easy to get to anywhere you wanted to go. Has a beautiful courtyard and entrance. The room was lovely and a really good size. Bed was very comfortable.

Room overlooked a busy street so could be noisy and mid week there was building work early in the morning. Staff at the bar could be very slow.

Beautiful hotel with service shortcomings

Lovely properly. We had a very spacious two floor “junior suite” but it was up 43 steps with no elevator and was on two levels with 13 more steps.

We had the hardest time getting service requests honored. We asked for soft pillow and they never came. We asked for a blanket instead of the arctic weight comforter and they brought a blanket but no sheet. They never got this right. I asked the concierge to find us a good restaurant and 24 hours later had heard nothing. Turn down service was a joke. All they did was close the curtains and fold down the comforter. They left dirty towels tossed where we left them, dirty tea cups with used tea bags in place, etc. the small balcony was dirty with cobwebs and bird poop and they did not clean it after I requested that they do so.

Full marks for comfort, location and service

Great central location with valet parking. Room was spacious and light, and the beds very comfortable. The staff were delightful and very attentive and helpful. The bar and restaurant did not disappoint and special shout-out for the amazing carpaccio of scallop and the monkfish dishes.

We would have liked some added extras in the bathroom like facecloths/flannels, separate shampoo bottles (not the combined shower gel & shampoo). In the room, there were no bedside charging points.

Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.

I arrived late as I had to drive from London as there was an awful fire that cancelled all flights out of Heathrow. So yesterday I drove from London to Switzerland. I had to break it up midway and Lille was a good place to stop. So I was exhausted and it was late. I was greeted like royalty and ushered to a clean, quite and elegant room. They charged my car overnight. They could not have been moe delightful.

Beautiful hotel, lovely staff and excellent location

Breakfast fantastic and the coffee. They even made gf bread for me. Room service excellent, although limited room service menu again they had gf bread and made a special croque monsieur. Breakfast room is stunning and parking so easy.

We were woken too early from a handyman above. He was noisy and painting the hallway above too early. The hotel compensated for this although I would have liked a lie-in!

Avoid room 4 but other than that an amazing place to stay.

Location is amazing, central enough to have close access to the old city. Just around the corner is the main restaurant street with a vast amount of lovely places to dine.

We were put in room 4, which is at the top of the main stairs on the landing with two chairs out the front. Two drunk women decided to come in at 3am and sit outside our room, talking at full volume for over 30 minutes. Also, people using the stairs to come up from dinner or go down to breakfast often woke us up. The hotel and staff are amazing. Just ensure that you are not placed in the same room unless you are a heavy sleeper.
