Great location, walking distance to everything I wanted to visit. Very modern hostel too!

Bigger shower space would have been good as there's not much space to change.

I had a very good time at Central Lille. I slept in a 6 bed girls only room. We had our private bathroom, with separate cabinet for toilet and shower. My bed was really comfortable, and I felt I had the required privacy. Next to the bed you have a charging place, also a jack for type C, plus a night light. You also get a wardrobe and they sell padlocks for 5 Euros. Ofc you can bring your own. They have a coworking space, an alcohol free bar and a pretty breakfast/hangout place. The breakfast is not very rich, but their croissants and pan du chocolate are great. You can also buy your own food and eat it in the breakfast area, so that might be a plus. No problems with hot water. In the room was kind of cold but if you turn the AC on hot air, it gets better. I was surprised to receive a towel, I wasn’t expecting that, but I guess that normal. The staff is friendly. The location is centrally, you don’t have much to walk, so the walk home is quick and safe :). I totally recommend the place, I was nervous a bit as I never truly travelled alone and stay in a hostel but this experience surely made things better.

Variety for breakfast

Mooi oud gebouw, bedden waren comfortabel en goede privacy in de dorms. Prettige locatie. Alleen naar huis lopend was geen probleem in de avond.

Geen hostelvibe. Service kon beter. Betalen voor locker als je eerder incheckt, vind ik raar als je ook al betaalt voor het verblijf. Ook extra betalen voor handdoek. Personeel was niet echt sociaal en behulpzaam: check-in duurde erg lang omdat er een grote groep incheckte en de andere desk staff collega mij niet hielp. Ook moest ik zelf m’n bed opmaken omdat dat niet was gedaan (bij anderen wel), er lag stof op de kamers, zeep bij wc’s was op. Beetje dat badkamers gemengd zijn. Zou het liever apart zien.
