Lush ! ✨️

A truly beautiful hostel, it felt glam from the moment I walked in. The red carpet was ready for my arrival!! . I loved the alcohol-free bar where I got ‘drunk’ on whisky and rum! 😉 Reception staff were an super friendly and incredibly helpful.

I loved everything about this place. Beyond the stylish, posh décor, what really stood out was the staff’s support. They handled a very drunk guest in our 4-bed dorm, quickly and calmly. The guest arrived extremely late, was too intoxicated to get into his bed, and snored so loudly that no one else could sleep (similarly to the night before) . The staff were fantastic, they escorted him out of the room and relocated him elsewhere, allowing the rest of us to finally rest.

The building is beautiful! It is an old embassy building and has all the old details. The rooms are adapted to be shared rooms, we booked a two bed for me and my partner. Everything is clean and tidy, also the shared showers en toilets.

We didn't make use of the beautiful bar downstairs because it is alcohol free, and although understandable it is a shame. It was also pretty empty all the days we were there.

Good hostel

I think this is nice hostel. Very beautiful building and kind staff. However I did not have a good stay, mainly because of the guest in my room, for which I can't blame the hostel. Generally a fine place to stay.

The interior is spectaculair en the rooms are really nice, unfortunately it can be a little chilly.

Comfy beds, breakfast good, interior splendid.

In winter time it can be chilly in the rooms. The windows have single glass which so the cold can get through there. The public space on the top floor is the warmest erea. I have to be honest; it's almost impossible to get warm in rooms that are between 5 and 6 meters high.

I like the privacy of the double deck beds with partitions and curtains. I could hear others snoring but it is very subtle and did not affect my sleep at all due to the noise insulation of the partitions. I slept well even sharing a room with 3 people. Love the high ceiling, decor and modern interior design. Staff were helpful. But it would be nice to have more tourist information about Lillie in English. Not too far to a nice cafe (5mins) with delicious cakes and a Sunday market (15 mins) with delicious roast chickens 😅

I can’t think of any but maybe a bit of noise when people walking loudly (outside of the room) in the morning. Not sure if it is because the room is close to staircase and it is a heritage building.

Perfect stay, met way beyond expectations

It looked more like a boutique hotel rather than a hostel. Very nice entrance / lobby area with co-working space and a bar. The whole place looks new and newly painted. Check-in was seamless and quick. Bed is equipped with curtains for privacy, and sockets & personal lighting. The ensuite bathroom makes it feels homey, toilet and shower are separated so its good. Has a huge locker and a cloth hanger inside as well. Very nice location within walking distance to Lille's attractions and Lille Europe station. Housekeeper is friendly.

The locker is a bit too close to the bed but not a big issue as there is a curtain.

If you're nervous about staying in a hostel, this place will put your mind at rest

This was the first ever hostel I've stayed in as a female solon traveller so was a bit apprehensive, but found this to be a lovely venue and super spacious. The bed I was in was really comfy, there's lots of storage space for your belongings and room to manoeuvre about. There were 2 others staying in my room of 4 but we had enough space/privacy. My speaking French isn't that great but the receptionist spoke English which was handy and much appreciated. The garden bar is a great touch, it was super quiet when I stayed but I expect in the summer months it would be more lively. A gorgeous building which has been restored beautifully, I couldn't get over the huge stained glass window on the staircase! And for EUR 25 a night I can't complain at all.

Randomly they had a film crew setting up in the lobby in the morning, so some communal areas were not available and it felt a bit chaotic - but it didn't really impact my overall trip.

Exceptional

Since you arrive you enter to this beautiful building that doesn't feel like a hostel at all, and it’s very well maintained with a gorgeous bar and beautiful common areas. The dorm is very spacious, the showers and toilets were spotless. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it!

I love that there are curtains on the beds but one night a guy that was staying in the room tried to climb into my bed. The staff was really helpful and they explained that it wasn't his bed. This is not the hostel's fault at all but just wanted to mention it so you can be careful! I had to stay in a mixed dorm because there were not any beds available in the female dorms. So try to plan ahead!

Excellent location. Very helpful staff. Spotlessly clean. The breakfast the hostel offers is great value for money.

Some more hooks or rails in the room for wet towels and/or clothes. I arrived during a heavy rainstorm and there was only one small hook by my bed for my soaking wet trousers and coat.

Nice stay in a beautiful building.

Breakfast was 11 euro which was fine, also in terms of the location. The newly renovated garden is incredible, and the location in the old building is magnificent. Best of all: the showers and the toilets were spot on, so clean! My compliments for the cleaning staff, they deserve the praise.

The room was SO HOT! Especially during the summer, the bed was like an oven. There was some refreshing of the air but I really could have done with some airco.

Very good.

The location is perfect, you reach the center in 10 minutes walking. The train station 20 minutes. It is close to the subway station if you don't want to walk. Everything is very clean and the staff very friendly. The breakfast is super cheap and complete. I was surprised.

The socket in the room next to the bed that I had was not working. But it's a detail. It did not limit me at all. As a suggestion it would be good to separate the rooms by age or clarify some rules of coexistence in a clear way. I had the room with two girls around 19 years old and they came back to the room around 1 am. In addition to making too much noise for about 1 hour they opened the window from which a lot of noise came in from the street and we had to insist that they close it. It was annoying and I hardly slept that night.

Gdy dotarłam pod wskazany adres myślałam, że to pomyłka. Zmyliły mnie te czerwone dywany niczym na Festiwalu w Cannes. Ale to nie wszystko: piękne wnętrza, wygodne łóżko, przyjazny personel, pyszne śniadanie i czystość to te rzeczy, które uczyniły mój pobyt w Lille jeszcze wspanialszym. Wrócę tu na pewno i polecam już ten obiekt moim znajomym.

C'est un lieu qui sort de la norme.Dans une très belle bâtisse et d'un aménagement de très bon Goût tout en étant fonctionnel.

Étant un voyageur au long court les tarifs ne permettront pas de renouveler l'expérience. Mais c'est propre à mon fonctionnement cela ne remet pas en cause la chaleureuse atmosphère qui s'en dégage propice à l'échange et la détente

Tout. Les locaux sont très beaux. Rénovation récente. Le jardin extérieur et son bar extérieur . La gentillesse et disponibilité du personnel.

Juste quelques pistes améliorations : - une poubelle dans la chambre, - une occultation à la fenêtre de la salle de bain : la rue voit tout. - un crochet à chaque lit, pour la serviette de toilette ( présent seulement sur 2 lits / 6 dans le dortoit)

Il miglior ostello che vi possa capitare

L’ostello si trova in un palazzo antico ma la strutta è completamente nuova e atterrata con gusto nei minimi dettagli. Ci sono prese accanto al letto, tendine, bagni e docce condivise, tutto è pulitissimo e funzionale. La struttura è dotata di aree relax e di un giardino. Il personale è disponibile, simpatico e accogliente. I letti sono dotati di tendine che salvaguardano la privacy. Le camere sono provviste di aria condizionata. La colazione costa 11 euro ma è ricchissima in dolce e salato ed è servita in una sala stupenda dal gusto liberty.

Non c’è nulla, è sicuramente il miglior ostello che abbia mai visto.

Letto in camerata, comodo, con tendina, presa di corrente e ripiano per oggetti da appoggiare sopra al cuscino, camera spaziosa, interni molto belli, bagni ben tenuti, buona posizione.

I bagni forse sono pochi. Sono stato fortunato e non ho mai trovato pieno, ma sul mio piano c'erano solo quattro stalli (bagno misto) e quattro docce, che posso immaginare diventino affollati in caso di alta frequentazione dell'ostello.

Auberge de jeunesse de luxe

La déco, le confort du lit le petit déjeuner tout était très bien. J y ai passé une seule nuit, dans une chambre de 6 personnes. L auberge était complet et je n'ai vu personne ! Pas un bruit. Tout le monde était très discret et respectueux. C'est ma première auberge de jeunesse, et la barre est très très haute.

J ai beau chercher mais rien... Peut être la déco des douches très bien entretenu mais qui n est pas raccord avec le reste de l auberge. Mais c'est vraiment pour dire quelque chose.
