Great welcome and briefing from Christophe. Good position and really quiet location. Nice stay.

Christophe went to the local bakery and produced fresh croissants and a baguette every day. Really nice .

Our only problem was coping with the spirral staircase up to the flat on the first floor with its narrow and small steps,, particularly with luggage. No problem for younger people.

The hotel is located at the center of Lille. Good place to stay, and really nice atmosphere in the room. Hotel owner is so kind and has his hospitality. I recommend it!

A beautiful, interesting house. Lots of pretty features. We didn't choose to use it but the option of a sauna in the room is very convenient. Christophe was helpful, good humoured, and we loved being able to specify what breakfast we like which he delivered each morning fresh from the bakers. His communication before the stay was prompt and useful. We felt very at home.

Perfect stay in Lille!

This was an exceptional apartment to stay in Lille! The location was perfect. Walking distance to all the spots we wanted to explore yet just enough away that it was quiet. The room was beautifully designed and the owner is so kind and helpful. We were warmly welcomed and he even brought us a delicious breakfast each morning. Next time we visit Lille we’ll be staying at Chez Christophe!

Charming small apartment

Charming house, located very close to restaurants, bars, cafes but on a very quiet street. Christophe is friendly and asked what I wanted for breakfast, which I ate in the small apartment. Very good value for money.

Great location to everything you need.

The location was good for getting around and plenty of meal options

There was nowhere to sit as the chairs were very wobbly and we didn’t want them to break. The family were living directly above the room and were incredibly noisy which didn’t stop until midnight both nights we were there. The breakfast was fresh but very basic when compared to the other places we stayed - bread/croissants, jam and juice. My partner ate it as I don’t eat those type of foods. Tea, coffee and milk were in the room. There was no water on the last day so I left without a shower. The window doesn’t seem to open in there and the tiles are slippery when wet. The steps leading up the room are difficult to climb and the room is on the small side.

Nice room with a friendly host

Nice and comfortable room. Christophe the host was very friendly and patient. On arriving at the apartment, he explained the facilities thoroughly and there's even a custom made guide to Lille. The room is well decorated and there's plenty of space. We also tried the sauna, which is super comfy. Overall, a very nice place to spend your holiday.

Good value for price, nice host, great location

Good communication with the host. He was very welcoming and friendly. Even helped with my suitcase up the stairs. The location is really close to the old centre, but in a quiet street. I could walk everywhere. Everything was clean! Good shower. Really quaint old building. The room looks out into the calm and cool little court yard (which you were allowed to use). You had your own little kitchen. I did not use the sauna, but I'm sure it would be nice in wintertime. The price was reasonable.

The mattress wasn't too bad, but not great either. Could do with a topper. The pillows were a bit of lumpy and soft. Also a nice addition would be a fan in the room (the weather was hot when I was there!).

Tres magnifiquè

We loved everything! The apartment was absolutely charming, our host Christophe was very attentive but not intrusive at all. The fresh baguette, croissants & orange juice every morning was so lovely, the courtyard garden was incredible, like a step back in time ... I can't fault it at all. Location was perfect for us, right on the edge of town with a very short walk to the town centre.

Honestly, there was nothing that we didn't like! A couple of small niggles like no parking outside and the mattress wasn't the most comfortable but that's easy enough to remedy.

Une vraie osmose de calme et de bonheur. Un hôte vraiment génial et qui a de super conseils pour découvrir les bons plans et la ville. Je recommande a tous. Et je reviendrai la prochaine fois aussi bien pour le travail que pour décompresser ;). Monsieur Christophe vous êtes entre dans nos cœurs de voyageur ;)

Un beau pied-à-terre pour la découverte de Lille et Roubaix.

Très bon petit déjeuner, jus frais, excellentes viennoiseries. On est au coeur de la ville, dans une impasse piétonnière, le calme parfait. Décor chaleureux. A recommander.

On apprécierait une cafetière plus grande et un meilleur matelas.

Le logement est très bien situé et au calme. Christophe est attentif et apporte un petit-déjeuner frais avec d'excellents croissants.

L'escalier est raide et peut constituer une difficulté pour les personnes moins mobiles.

Gastvrije host vlakbij alle bezienswaardigheden.

Propere studio voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Dicht bij het oude stadscentrum. Veel horeca in de buurt. Ook vlak bij de groene long van Rijsel. Bij aankomst kregen we uitgebreide info en tips. Ook enkele restaurants werden aanbevolen. 's Morgens kregen we een ontbijt aan de kamerdeur geleverd op een uur dat we zelf mochten kiezen. Een boterkoek en stokbrood, confituur. Melk, chocomelk, fruitsap, koffie, thee, boter was op de kamer aanwezig. Voor 10 euro konden we gebruik maken van de sauna op de kamer. Een fijne extra.

Parkeren in de buurt is duur. Christophe vertelde wel meteen waar we best konden parkeren en waar we moesten op letten. De volgende keer overwegen we met de trein te gaan. De steile trap hinderde mij niet maar ik kan me wel voorstellen dat deze lastig kan zijn voor mensen die minder goed te been zijn. Christophe stelde wel voor om de koffers naar boven te dragen.

Een verborgen schat in oud Lille

Het is een buitengewoon aangename locatie om na een dagje stad, in een oase van rust te ontspannen. Een vriendelijk en gastvrije ontvangst. Alles is aanwezig om een optimaal verblijf te garanderen. Het ontbijt is ruim voldoende en van goede kwaliteit. Het verblijf is ontzettend schoon. Ook is er nagedacht over milieuvriendelijke materialen. We love this!

Nous avons passé deux jours magnifiques à Lille!

Accueil chaleureux de la part de Christophe. Petit studio rénové et meublé avec goût, proche de la Grand Place et de la citadelle. Christophe fournit de quoi se faire un bon petit déjeuner.

Nous avons eu du mal à nous garer mais c'était le samedi du lancement de la Feria et Lille était noire de monde. Dimanche c'était nettement plus facile, et le parking était gratuit.

Christophe nous a conseillé pour des ballades et des restaurants. L'hébergement était au calme et très bien placé dans le Vieux Lille, proche de tout et nous avons pu nous garer dans la rue (le dimanche est gratuit, sinon horodateur). Notre hôte s'est chargé de nous apporté des croissants frais au petit déjeuner et il y avait sur place du jus d'orange frais, du beurre, du lait, de quoi faire du thé, du café, ou du chocolat chaud !

Les marches très raides pour monter dans la chambre d'hôte. Mais cela fait partie du charme des vieilles maisons du Vieux-Lille !

Wat is Chistoph een fantastische gastheer. Fijne ontvangst, informatie over de stad. Iedere dag een ontbijt op maat. Hij heeft zelfs spullen nagestuurd die we vergeten waren. Absoluut een aanrader.

Niets. Maar voor mensen die wat slecht ter been zijn is het bovenste appartement wellicht lastig bereikbaar i.v.m. de trap.

Het ontbijt was heel erg sober. De sauna was heerlijk

De veiligheid in het appartement: een smalle en donkere toegang + veel hout en geen enkele brandvoorziening. De parkeerkosten waren vele male hoger dan verwacht.
