great location warm welcome but dirty and noisey

The welcome was very friendly and the bed was clean. the location for work was great

However the bathroom was really dirty with hairs left around the taps in the plug hole and the shower didnt work so I used the local gym. The TV didnt work either and I couldnt use the wifi on the first night. Its a shame as the hotel as so much potential but is filled with permanent residents who finish work around 2.30am which woke me every night.

A great location for the shops. Spacious room and hot water. Fresh towels and shower gel with shampoo provided on arrival. Very comfortable beds and clean sheets. Nice TV.

Could do with repairing the wardrobe doors and broken handles. Some drawers were dirty but I cleaned them in two mins with a wet wipe so no big deal. Top Window lock broken requires a replacement handle.

Good location, not so great atay

Location was good

Bed uncomfortable, tv did not work, awful view of a back alley from the window. Drunks banging on others doors in hallways and chatting until the early hours. Parking was the worst...was advised by hotel staff that parking was free on sundays so I did not purchase additional parking the next day and ended up getting a £50 parking fine to go home with! Not the best end to our stay.

Location at seafront - excellent. My single room looked refurbed - smallish but plenty adequate, clean & tidy, tv , kettle etc with spacious wardrobe & drawers. Good shower - top tip =run hot tap 'for seems ages' to get it hot but worth the wait- big old hotel, so water tank probably a long way off. Good value for the price paid. Staff were polite, clear & helpful - excellent. Fish & chips on the pier were very tasty. Lots of places to eat nearby, even breakfast if needed.

Very bad hotel, there was no hot water for showering, the heater didn't work to heat the room, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Not returning ever again

Nothing much room was like being in a cell. Toilet was not attached to floor so you rocked around. Bed was very uncomfortable springs coming though mattress pillows were old flat and dead very uncomfortable. Kettle was nasty and cheap difficult to fill and poor due to stiff cable attached. Cupboard falling apart. Took his to get warm water out of show. Room only just warm enough.

Kettle cheap and difficult to poor due to old stuff cable No cups in Bathroom infact nothing much supplied room could be warmer. No food available

Good location shocking rooms and staff.

Location.

Mattress covered in blood/poo stains whatever it may be, dust caked all over furniture. Bedside table is an office chair and shower base tainted yellow in unrine. Staff knocked on door multiple times before 11am checkout and barely communicated hovering around the door aswell throughout the stay.

Disgusting horrendous and awful

Nothing I liked the rooms was disgusting

Everything the beds was horrible the floor was stained and dirty the rooms stank there was fleas in the room me and my partner are covered in flea bites we left within 5mins and checked into a better hotel the rooms are nothing like they advertised it was like a homeless hostel.

Had a great time slept well staff were great very helpful and enjoyed my stay

Location was great as was staff no lift working which was a problem as my companion has breathing difficulties so had to walk up 26 stairs ,but we coped shame there was no food available a very lovely building such great views and situated in a great location.

It wasn't as clean as I hoped read some awful reviews but thought i will see for myself room itself was basic bedding and towels spotless but the skirting boards were thick with dust and the shower was in a bad way with a lot of black mildew toilet very clean no hot water from the tap but shower worked i did however clean it myself first tea and coffee provided in room along with tv ,very basic but we made do ,if proper cleaners were provided and the bar and dining room reopened and a amount of money spent on renovation (nothing major) this could become a 10 star hotel without a doubt yes id come again but would ask about lift first .

Room was quite small for a family of 4. Not many plug sockets. Over headlights didn't work and the curtains very thin, let light in and the colour made the room bright red.

Nothing to like attitude owners no staff too see. Mould in rooms!

Didn’t like anything about the whole stay!Checked in room was full of mould (paid extra for double room with balcony) I have asthma I told the owner and his attitude was terrible didn’t care about my health and way was treated wouldn’t offer another room. (The owner next door hotel the bonair had a room wasn’t that better but wasn’t full of mould) a very crappy stay no staff was about to help. Wouldn’t change towels empty bins or change bed sheet no lift was available when stated there is. Very poor never again! Stained carpets, air con never worked said doesn’t , broken window handle can hear all the noise and traffic as couldn’t shut the window. Shower plug blocked. No lift option

Terrible ,dishonest ,beware of this place

There was nothing apart from the location to like. Bedding dirty, mattress disgusting,pillow knackered,light shade had years of dust on it.cups stained, kettle full of lime scale. We spoke to ‘ash’ and explained the room was sub standard and we would not stay. We requested our money back to which he told us had to be done through booking.com. We contacted them and were told that the property would not allow a refund, returned to speak to ‘ash’ who then said it was a non refundable booking. Still in communication with Booking.com who have kindly given a small gesture of good will. The terrace of hotels is all the same company.we stupidly did not take pictures. BEWARE PICTURES Don’t RELECT PROPERTY. DISHONEST COMPANY

The room was not cleaned properly : wardrobe door fell off as opening, blood on bedside table, hair and pubic hair on toilet and spat out toothpaste on bathroom floor. We did report to hotel and they cleaned the room again.

It was in a perfect location for us

Loved the close proximity to the beach. The room we stayed in was clean, comfortable, and overlooked the sea. Soloman and his deputy were welcoming, helpful, and friendly, even helped carry our cases up to our room without second thoughts ,I am a single mum and felt safe with my adolescent girls staying here as the locks to the room and the hotel at night were secure.

We would have welcomed a fan in the room as it became very warm with all of us in there, an airer to dry of swimming cossies and towels, and maybe a chair to sit on instead of the bed as my back disliked the softness of the mattress. If breakfast, even just cereals and toast, was an option, I would have been happy to pay for it.

The location of the hotel is amazing and staff are friendly. Did leave complimentary little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel on the bed.

Cleanliness could be much better. The carpets don't looked like they have been washed in a while and didnt look hoovered. Very outdated shower and toilet in room, outdated wardrobe and chest of drawers, dirt on bedroom wall and we couldn't turn our tv on as remote control didnt work. No option of breakfast and no lounge/bar area

Solomon was lovely, so kind and friendly. The view from the balcony was beautiful.

The room was filthy, windows were so dirty, had a lovely sea view but couldn't see it through the muck on the windows. Bathroom was dirty, mould in the shower, couldn't walk around bare foot as the carpet was dirty. Refused to shower so ended up using the towels to wipe our feet before getting in to bed. Balcony was dirty. Ash tray had been used previously and not cleaned. Lock on the door didnt work. Tea stains on the walls. Wouldnt stay here again if it was free.

The hotel was basic yet comfortable. I must add a word of praise for Soloman who was in charge at the hotel, and very helpful and welcoming at all times.

Good choice for a budget hotel in an accessible area

Booked this hotel for 1 night and was pleasantly surprised, was at the top end of the budget hotels I've been to and I definitely got my money's worth. Free tea & coffee, 2 towels, and more than enough toiletries provided on arrival. Company called me to check I was happy after checking in. Good location on the seafront about 10 mins walk from the centre. Staff were friendly and professional, especially Solomon who did a great job of making me feel welcome (professional, approachable and proactive) and is the reason this hotel gets a 10.

The hotel is quite outdated and reminds you more of an American style motel than a hotel. Room is quite small, absolutely fine for a base or place to rest your head but you wouldn't want to hang out in there. Hot water took about 5 minutes to heat up. Bed was not very comfortable at first but I soon didn't notice it at all and slept well. All minor things and what do you expect when paying less than £40 a night 🤷

Filthy and disgusting

It was filthy, the room stunk of cigarettes, we were greeted by 2 drunk men. We waited ages before someone came to reception. We were shown to our room, but it was disgusting. We popped out for a drink, and both said we can't stay there it was FILTHY. We returned to collect our stuff and, again, nobody to speak to. I tried ringing the number, but it wasn't recognised, so we left our key in the express check out. We rang booking.com to explain and asked for a refund. They cantacted the hotel that refused because they could have offered us an upgrade. What from filthy to flea pit. We have been in dispute for a week now, and AS A GOOD WILL JESTURE they will give us 50% back. Not good enough.....trust me the place makes your skin crawl. I wiped my feet on the way out.
