An amazing stay in Pontresina

We had a very particular stay which was broken down in the middle, but hotel staff was still more than accommodating about it. They even kept our luggage and car and deep cleaned the room during our absence. Everything else was great - we took a slightly larger room and it was very comfortable, even with things like free fruit and chocolates and some free drinks from the bar. It all feels quite new and well maintained and super clean. Staff is friendly and helpful and breakfast has great choice with different dietary requirements. It even has a (small, but practical) spa and location for access to everything else in town is great. Also good value for money!

Simply perfect for a stay in Pontresina

Friendly staff, excellent decorating. Plenty of car parks, quiet rooms, super clean, nespresso machine in the room, good lighting in the room for business guests. Superb breakfast.

Comfortable Stay, but Not Ideal for Active Guests

We visited Pontresina to enjoy an active summer holiday, with plans for hiking and biking in the surrounding area. While the hotel offered a comfortable stay facilities-wise overall, we felt that it was not primarily geared toward guests with an outdoor or sporty focus.

We had a significant amount of gear with us, including bikes and hiking equipment. Although a bike room was available, it was quite small and not very easy to access. On one occasion, our hiking poles were put in a room's trash bin-possibly an accident, though it did feel symbolic of the hotel’s limited accommodation for active guests. Additionally, our room was found unlocked one day, likely due to an oversight by the cleaning staff (nothing was stolen). On another morning, a disturbance occurred in the breakfast area when a guest loudly accused others, and the staff chose not to intervene. To the hotel’s credit, we were compensated for the inconvenience, which we appreciated. However, these small but notable incidents made it difficult to rate the experience as overall good.

Fantastic Accommodation for a family of four 4️⃣

We stayed in the family lodge. It was superb for us. We have two teen boys, so the space was great. The hotel were fantastic, they picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. Pontresina is lovely. We did the horse ride and walked back from Val Roseg. We took the train to St. Moritz. Ideal location for us. We enjoyed the welcome drinks too.

Great location in the centre of town. Very good restaurant, although some portions were very small. Friendly staff. Complimentary pass for the Bergbahn was great (summer stay) and offering a welcome drink is a very nice touch. Complimentary parking is a real bonus if you can get a spot. Would definitely stay here again.

Service was slow in the bar area. Staff were setting up table service for the next meal when we were still eating both at dinner and breakfast which was not very relaxing.

Superb

A pretty little hotel in a great location and quiet village. Traditional on the outside and simple style on the inside. The bed was large and comfortable and the shower was good and hot after a cold day on the mountain. Good facilities - ample storage, sauna, coffee-making, excellent breakfast. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not much not to like. Perhaps the hotel could consider getting rid of minibar fridges to be more environmentally friendly?

Very modern rooms, spacious and clean; the staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel is also dog friendly, and one of the reasons we chose to stay here. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening - the food and service were exceptional!
