Very friendly and helpful staff, an excellent breakfast every day and evening meal on 3 of our 5 days. The latter was rather good value in terms of quality and price. Have already booked for another similar stay in Sept 26!

I chose this hotel mainly for its excellent location it was perfect for my needs. The staff were also wonderful, always ready to help and solve problems. Initially, I was given a room that didn’t match my original booking, but the team was very friendly and quickly found a fair compromise. And I have to mention the breakfast-it was delicious and a great start to the day!

While the location and staff were great, the conditions in the rooms left much to be desired, especially considering this was the most expensive hotel I stayed in during my trip, yet it turned out to be the lowest in quality. 1. No parking. The team does inform you in advance, but that doesn’t make it any more convenient. You still have to walk to a public parking lot, which isn’t exactly close or practical. 2. Room facilities. I had to manually hold the drain in the sink open to let the water flow out 🙈 and no, it wasn’t broken, that’s just how it was designed. The shower mixer was leaking. The amenities were minimal: no safe, no fridge, even though the price is very much in line with the market. The shower was tiny with an extremely low ceiling. What bothered me most was the feeling of discrimination against solo travelers 😀 if you book a single room, not only is the space minimal, but at breakfast you might be seated at the tiniest table in the most inconvenient corner, as if to make sure you’re reminded you came alone. 😂 That said, the staff do their best to stay friendly and helpful despite the shortcomings.

A welcoming hotel with great food, a friendly atmosphere, and excellent service.

The hotel has a fantastic atmosphere, especially in the bar in the evenings—a great place to relax after a day out. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. We also had a great evening meal in the attached pizzeria, which was delicious.

Delicious breakfast with a large array of choices. Great coffee which is really an essential for me. The evening meals on offer were also delicious and very reasonably priced. The service was outstanding.

The personalized reception and attention by all staff that we received at Engadinerhof Superior in Pontresina was unsurpassed by any of the hundreds (thousands?) of accommodations that we have stayed at in all of our traveling experiences. For that reason alone, I highly recommend! Even the hotel owner met with us. The hotel has a classy yet friendly atmosphere. Those who like to play board games in the evening will love the extended lobby area with tables that are welcoming for such activity. And the food, both in the restaurant and attached cafe, is incredible, both for breakfast (24 different flavors of jam) and dinner (especially if you make it for a smorgasboard dinner). We primarily used the hotel as a launching pad for exploring the beautiful mountains in the Engadine region of Switzerland (fantastic). The hotel is conveniently located to a main bus stop that transported us to lifts, the train station, neighboring communities, and other attractions. Additionally, we enjoyed exploring shops and streets in the immediate neighborhood of the hotel.

Just so you know, the hotel has an elegant atmosphere, but the wooden (beautiful!) floors are rather squeaky! We chose to stay in a room that used shared bathrooms down the hall, which meant that we made noises while walking the hallway during the night. However, each room has a door to an entry way to another door, so there is a good sound barrier between the rooms and the hallway. We did not loose any sleep due to noise, and I hope our own noises did not bother our neighbors!

We really enjoyed our stay! They offer dinner as an add on and it was great food and excellent value. Breakfast was a large buffet, with so many delicious options. There are so many things available to do in the surrounding area.

Our only issue was it was initially hard to find the elevator so we wouldn't have to carry our suitcases up the front stairs.

Preis-Leistung allgemein Frühstück nur bis 10 Uhr, auch sonntags, auch wenn kein Zopf, Gipfeli usw. Brot wenigstens sehr lecker 2 Fernseher im Zimmer, leider beide defekt, man würde sich am nächsten Tag darum kümmern, was wenig nützt, wenn man dann abreist, keine Entschuldigung dafür… Heizung voll auf, Zimmer dennoch kühl Lüftung im Bad sehr laut Hauseigene Pizzeria konnte unseren Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllen

Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, wir habe es genossen. Das Zimmer war gross genug und auch sehr sauber. Das personal war freundlich , anwesend und hilfsbereit.

Schade war, dass als wir das Zimmer bezogen, das Fenster noch offen war. Draussen war minus 10 Grad, demensprechend war das Zimmer erst eiskalt. Zimmer 313. Als ich dann kurz TV schauen wollte, war kein einziger Sender mehr programmiert und ich musste erst die Sender Suchen und neu Programieren. Sicher 10 Min gebraucht. schade. Und die Türe des WC geht nach innen auf. Somit hat man fast keinen Platz drinn und noch ein Holzpfosten engt zusätzlich ein. Die Dusche ist gut , aber der Rest des WC ist ungemütlich.

Ein sehr schönes Hotel zum Ankommen und Wohlfühlen. Ich hatte ein kleines, aber sehr schönes Zimmer. Die Lobby ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die Bibliothek gemütlich, und der neu gestaltete Speisesaal wirkt sehr schick. Ich hatte Halbpension gebucht und kann es jedem empfehlen. Die Speisen sind vielfältig und sehr lecker, auch für Vegetarier gibt es eine gute Auswahl. Ein großes Lob an den Koch! Das Frühstück ist hervorragend und reicht locker für einen ganzen Tag im Schnee. Die Menschen im Hotel sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Hotelbesitzer begrüßen die Gäste mit einem Apero, und es gibt schöne Veranstaltungen. Das Personal ist sehr professionell und zuvorkommend. Auch der Preis ist vertretbar. Sehr gerne wieder!

Alles in allem hatten wir einen sehr schönen Ferienaufenthalt im Engandinerhof.

Der Engadinerhof ist unseres Erachtens sehr gut gelegen. Dank dem Fahrverbot zwischen 2300 und 0600 Uhr ist es auch gegen die Strasse hinaus ruhig. Beeindruckt hat uns das ganze Personal des Engadinerhofs. Alle waren sehr freunlich und hilfbereit.

Von der Strassenbeleuchtung war es im Zimmer 131 ziemlich hell. Es kann zu wenig stark abgedunkelt werden. Das Servicepersonal ist offensichtlich noch nicht ganz auf einander abgestimmt. Es ist mir aufgefallen, dass viele Leerläufe gemacht werden und die Zuteilung der Gäste bzw. Tische zum Teil doppelspurig gelaufen sind. Mehrmals wurden wir von zwei Bedienenden nach unserem Menuewunsch gefragt. Gut geklappt hat alles, wenn Vitoria am Werk war.

Super Kurzaufenthalt, der uns sehr gefallen hat.

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Es hatte eine sehr grosse Auswahl an frischen und leckeren Produkten. Auch eine umfangreiche und sehr gute Brotauswahl war vorhanden. Die Lage war zentral. Vieles war zu Fuss erreichbar, z.B. Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants usw. Ab 2 Übernachtungen gibt es eine Gratiskarte für die Dauer des Aufenthalts für den öffentlichen Verkehr sowie die Bergbahnen im Oberengadin. Ideal, um auch weiter entfernte Wanderungen von den unzähligen Möglichkeiten zu unternehmen. Um das Gepäck aus- und einzuladen kann man kurz vor das Hotel fahren und das Auto dann im sehr nahe gelegenen Parkhaus abstellen mit einer Parkkarte vom Hotel.

Empfehlenswertes Hotel im Zentrum von Pontresina

Älteres, grosses Hotel im Zentrum von Pontresina. Nahe Busstation. ÖV und Seiibahnen waren gratis ab 3 Tagen Aufenthalt. Wir hatten die Halbpension dazugebucht, was sich bewährt hat. Sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Beim Einchecken wurde uns ein falsches Zimmer zugewiesen. Dank Foto auf der Buchungsbestätigung von Booking konnte auf den Fehler hingewiesen werden. Kann mal passieren.
