Amazing value for money

The lights in the room need to be brighter or a bigger ceiling light as the room is very dark even with the light on.

Beautiful sea food, well presented room.

Beautiful view of the sea, warm Room, had a fan too incase it gets cold. There was iron+ironing board, cereal, cartoon of milk as well as milk pods for drinks. Various jams, brioche chocolate rolls and plates/cutlery. Nice and clean, spacious room, big TV. Can't fault it.

A very good value for money stay - an excellent place to recover from a Christmas bout of 'flu.

Breakfast was a complimentary continental breakfast delivered to the room with housekeeping consisting of pain au chocolat, cereals, toast, jam and butter plus coffee from a Dolce Gusto machine. A very pleasant surprise as we had booked not to have a cooked breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful - housekeeping kept us stocked up with food and made sure we had basic supplies. The owners had closed the restaurant below the hotel (which was a shame as the food looked delicious) but allowed us to leave luggage in the room on our last day. The view is the real highlight - lovely views over the pier towards Brean Down, Flat and Steep Holm and the Bristol Channel. It looked beautiful at sunrise and sunset. It even looked good in the snow! The location is very convenient - a few minutes walk to the centre, some good pubs and right on the front.

The bed was a little on the small and soft side. Otherwise, very happy with the stay.

There is a kettle, fridge, microwave, plates etc. Ceral and pain au chocolate provided every day for breakfast. Milk in the fridge when we arrived. Bed comfy. Sea view. Minutes from the pier and town, perfect spot to stay. Lots of lovely restaurants and pubs around.

A toaster in the room would have been nice.

Nice clean room. Refreshments. Fully kitted out with all you need iron etc.

No hot water in bathroom tap!! No wardrobe or anywhere to hang clothes. Room a lot smaller than anticipated. Mattress and pillows need replacing.

Lovely stay, wish we could have stayed longer :)

Hotel owner is always very friendly and happy to help, provided us with a fan for the bedroom and extra refreshments. Hotel rooms are cleaned daily and breakfast/refreshments also restocked regularly. So easy to sign in and very cosy, lovely views and warm welcome.

The only improvement would be having a bath as i think all rooms are shower what can be tricky with small kids.

Wonderful weekend!

Great location! Really friendly and accommodating staff, headed up by the exceptional owner Arthur. Our room was very pleasant, with a fabulous sea view. Our dining experience (at a very reasonable additional cost) in their own restaurant was superb! The food was excellent, as was the service. We would highly recommend the Mentone Hotel.

Excellent location fabulous beach view everything we could of wanted the bar down stair was lovely . And what can I say about the continental breakfast in your room didn’t want for nothing. We even had a microwave and toaster in our room plenty of everything just perfect

One night in excellent room .

The room was a very good size, large fridge, proper sea view. Very clean. I liked the help yourself to cereal and toast, of course some prefer to have breakfast served. Very clean.

The hotel owner was very friendly and polite and helpful, is in the process of re decorating the hotel and refurbishing the rooms to a high standard.

Parking was on the side street,not a problem as it was free,but some places are pay and display till 6pm then free till 8am next day.

The smell on the top floor landing was disgusting- like greasy fish - I’m guessing from the kitchen next door. & the smell in our room, mainly the bathroom was even worse… Smelt like someone had smoked 500 cigs in there I could also feel the springs in the mattress poking through.

Highly recommended and would stay there again without a doubt

Very well equipped rooms (double room and family room). Lovely breakfast provided. Location is superb! The host was friendly and accommodating. Paid parking within 1 minute walk. Lovely little touches to room comfort like a step stool for children to use by the sink! Our little daughter of 1 year and 9 months loved it there too!

Location is perfect right on the sea front, close to everything, room was really clean, bed super comfortable, shower really powerful and hot, loads of tea and coffee and bottles of water. Arthur the owner was always around if needed for anything.

Nothing. I couldn't get in at 8:30pm despite saying I'd arrive around 9PM.

I couldn't find the entrance and no one answered the phone number on the booking so I had to go elsewhere.
