The fact you are charged £7.50 per night to park your car and also they take a £50 charge off you on arrival on top of paying for the hotel.

Lovely staff, Decent bed and clean but rest of hotel was disappointing

We had room only, so didn’t experience breakfast

The room was clean but very basic, it had room for a comfy chair but there was only a dining room chair in there. The shower was pathetic it just dribbled with water which thankfully was warm, and you couldn’t stand under it,you had to hold the head so you could cover yourself in water. The hotel needs modernising.

Small gap between bed and wall to get around, made harder by TV being directly on wall at point squeezing through. Significant gap between room door and landing. Repetitive loud statue on floor below playing jingle bells everytime someone walked past to the toilets from the bar, which was often. Within an hour, had heard the tune at least 20 times. Was like water torture. Spoke to staff who turned off but was turned back on 10 minutes later. Turned off finally around 11pm but plugged in again at 4am waking me up.

Convenient location, needs serious update.

Great location, five minutes from the centre and to the bay, shops and restaurants nearby. Quiet at night. Interesting old building.

It was very cold and I had to go through endless corridors on many levels to get to reception to ask for a portable radiator. Reception people took ages as they were busy with a private event that night. Eventually I got it and carried it all the way to my room - back through all these corridors, step up, step down, round the corner, another corner… The room was old. It didn’t feel clean. The headrest of the bed wasn’t attached and fell loose, I couldn’t lean on it. TV didn’t work at all. The bathroom was so uninviting that I couldn’t take a shower - too cold and drafty.

The room had a balcony with a sea views which made our holiday and the bed was comfortable . Very good area outside to sit and enjoy the sea view and really enjoyed the live entertainment. It doesn’t say parking on the website but there was parking when we arrived which was a relief as this caused us a worry. Other than that we had a lovely stay :)

Property was in a great location for the Sea Shanty weekend prices were reasonable breakfast wasn’t the best could have been a little warmer but the staff were very friendly were lucky to have a free parking space also

Couldn’t fill the kettle with water as sink was very very small & kettle had to be filled with a cup/mug 🤷‍♂️. Curtains not blackout curtains, so still bright at night & in the early hours of the morning 🌅. Single bed far to narrow, unbelievably narrow 🤷‍♂️, shower water 💦 flow POOR , bathroom shelf & toilet holder Loose on wall , 🤷‍♂️ lapsy daisy maintenance checks 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Another lovely visit to the Royal Grovenor

Room had a small balcony outside with chairs and a table. Great Elvis tribute act on in the afternoon which was fun. Lorraine and her staff are friendly and efficient. The bar prices were really good.

OK hotel

Had late cancellation with no notice until check in from prior booking at Atlantic Hotel down the road. Only hotel we could find at late notice with a triple bed room. Room was 2 star as suggested , it was clean and tidy enough. Bathroom was sparse and could do with some updating, no toiletries at all. Minimum tea & coffee facilities in room . Beds were comfybenough . No air con , be hot room in summer , location of hotel is good, handy to downtown, cafes restaurants and beach basically across the road. Great it had a lift for luggage to upper floors. Cooked breakfast was basic , but good . Overnight stay was OK , wouldn't say good value for money, no parking
