Friendly host View from room Lift to get up to top floor Location

Parking on road impossible and Family room contained a double bed and a bunk bed, when spoke with host he said both family rooms are the same, I explained I had a 2 year old and a sufferer of arthritis neither which could do a top bunk to which I was told he could supply a bed guard ! I explained should state family rooms contain a bunk bed on website site or an honest picture to no reply 🤔 when I returned to the room the only solution was to put the top bunk mattress on the floor 🤨

Nice weekend, weather terrible but expected, slightly marred by the hotel !

Location was ideal, short walk to the beach and shops.

Although we appeared to be the only guests, we were set up for breakfast in the bar as we had our dog with us, the write says dogs are welcome, not that you will be put in a corner in the other room if you have one !!There was no cereals, or fruit, just a fried breakfast which was all very greasy, and served up by someone who seemed as though he hated his job !!

Charming, spotless hotel right by the beach, pet-friendly and a wonderfully welcoming owner.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at this charming old Richmond Hotel, full of character and history. Our room was spotless, beautifully clean, and had everything we needed for the night - plus a lovely balcony. From our balcony we could see just how close the beach was, and we really enjoyed being able to walk down the road to the beach and pier for a stroll with Chloe and Phoebe, our two little dogs. We loved that we could bring them with us and it was such a big plus for us that the Richmond Hotel was so welcoming and accommodating towards them. The location is perfect, with everything in walking distance. It truly was an awesome stay, had a lovely chat with the owner in the bar area over a drink and we would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cosy, pet-friendly stay by the sea.

The room was so damp and a strong aroma of damp and cold Draws could not use the damp smell as well as the wardrobe in the room The bedding was damp. We were ready to leave the same day but tried to stay and left the next day after losing a night stay

Friendly, helpful and well located

Staff were very friendly and could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel itself is literally minutes away from a play park and the beach. Perfect for families. Myself and my partner were very happy and will definitely be coming back

Really lovely

Jonathann the owner, was very welcoming and explained everything I needed to know clearly. My room, sheets & towels were all spotlessly clean and of good quality. Breakfast was served by a very 'happy chappy' and was freshly cooked to order, which makes a huge difference compared to some of the larger hotels where its all self serve and luke warm. This privately owned hotel has a friendly personal feel to it and the views from numerous areas are really lovely . Thank you for a lovely stay, I will definitely be back again :)

Excellent location and host was genial and very welcoming. Rooms clean and functional. Excellent view of the beach and pier from our room. Quiet bar and terrace with sea view, ideal for a relaxing gin and tonic on a warm summer evening!

Some inexperienced waiting staff at breakfast. Free parking is at a premium, and had to park in the nearby car park at a cost of £14 per day.

Small room, no toiletries only hand soap provided. Breakfast scrambled eggs unfortunately tested like scrambled milk with no eggs. My partner ate it instead of me and had very very poor stomach afterwards.

Great location and comfortable friendly hotel

Felt very welcome and looked after. The room had everything I needed and a fantastic sea view. Good to have a bar downstairs. The breakfast was very good and piping hot. A great location for all of local things to do.

Relaxing time

Jonathan was an excellent host and his team were very good. Breakfast was lovely and the location is perfect,on the seafront but laid back so no traffic and you can sit outside and have a drink from the friendly bar. We had a beautiful time and would definitely book again. Thank you for a great stay ☺️

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and I would happily stay here again.

I was very happy with my room. it was compact, but had everything that I wanted. The view from the window of the sea and the pier was brilliant. The bed was comfortable and the coffee/teamaking facilities were most welcome. I was very happy with the choice available for breakfast and the quality. I particularly enjoyed eating the bacon which I would call 'proper bacon' not what you usually get served in hotels. The owner of the hotel was friendly and welcoming and all the staff that I met during my stay were brilliant.

Absolute professionalism from start to finish. For a “cheap” place to stay the manager and breakfast waiter were excellent. Very comfortable bed, basic room with everything you needed and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was nicely cooked.
