The staff were friendly

The hotel is very dated run down. The room was very run down and the carpet was dirty and in badly need for replacing. The room was extremely hot and stuffy.

Unreasonably noise impact. I wouldn’t stay again based on the noise.

Property is a good location to the seafront but rooms we were allocated were to rear of the property which overlooks the noisy nightlife of Weston.

There are clubs and bars that create noise until 2:30am which we are unaware of when booking and at check in. Windows are not sound proofed, curtains / blinds are not light resistance and as a result it wasn’t a restful night 😟

Spacious room, Great view

Lovely spacious room with a large bathroom , very comfortable bed plus an excellent view of the seafront from the window, Chair and table next to the window so you could enjoy the view & relax at the same time. Bath & shower options available which is a bonus for most people.

Check in was a little frustrating & could have been much quicker. Door card needed to be changed as it didn't work at first.

Enjoyable Stay.

Pleasant room with nice views and comfy bed, The room was dated but spotlessly clean. Breakfast was good and WiFi was also very good. We had a meal in the hotels restaurant which was very good nicely cooked and very tasty and also very reasonably priced for a hotel. The Royal is very well located for all areas of Western super Mare. Car parking is free which is a huge bonus in Western.

Avoid rooms overlooking SAS (Pub/Club)

Location is superb.

Stayed here before and gave good ratings, however, Room 107 and being kept awake until after 3am by the pub/club opposite - by the time people had departed it was after 3.30am, I had to leave the hotel at 0730am, made this the worst nights rest ever!

Great to stay in a traditional English beach front hotel. Lots of traditional building features.

Location and car park. Close to beach and in the ctr of town. Large car park. Lots of character about the building. I would stay again.

Entrance for the bar was a bit windy when the door to the car park was opened and closed but not too terrible.

Nice enough hotel but very noisy neighbours

The room was a good size and was clean. It was a great location as far as being right by the seafront and next to the shopping centre. The lady on check in was very nice and polite.

The mattress was very old and uncomfortable, the duvet was bearly big enough for the bed. Saturday night the pub opposite had loud music and shouting drunks until 2am and there was still audible music from somewhere at 4am, so we didn't sleep well at all.

The Royal Hotel remains as our favourite place to stay in Weston Super Mare. Perfect location close to the beach and town. The staff are the best!

Happy and not so happy

Breky asked for some yogurt and was told they had none had to wait to 9 oclock to go to the shop that never happened .but why run out ! That is all I eat will not be ordering breky again

Creaking Floorboards. No glasses in bathroom. Being asked to "wait to be seated" by a sign in the dining room but no one being in attendance to direct you to a seat.

Outdated, noisy and dangerous shower

Out dated, poor quality bedding. Club and pub noise until after 2am. Shower scolding hot half way through the shower, then freezing cold and back to scolding hot. Luckily my son did not shower first.

Location and parking were both good for a weekend stay Room was a decent size for a family of 4 - double bed with bunk beds and Sea View.

Room 216 was very poor, majority of the rooms in the whole hotel in desperate need of updating. Carpet extremely worn to the point of tripping over in parts at side of bed, curtains were ill fitting with holes in letting a lot of light in, also above kitchen so very noisy. Bed very springy not very comfortable. Electric heater dangerous, PAT testing 10 months out of date, front of socket came off in hand and was sparking when plugged in. Shower was borderline dangerous, scalding hot at times / freezing cold. Sink unit needs replacing, as does tiling and where dispenser is. Stayed room only as breakfast is not worth it. Not worth £135 per night for state of room. Could be so much nicer if looked after.

Brilliant, everything spot on, had a great stay.

Comfy room, felt at home. Best things, location, (we went to a show at the Playhouse), really close to shops, and beachfront at the same time. Water, lashings of hot water, literally on tap!

A couple of extra plug sockets wouldn't have gone amiss.
